The land seemed like the edge of a forest. With trees sparse and the grass gaining in space. Looking back he saw the walls guarding what clearly was a major city. He was very confused.
His confusion was mainly from finding out that the teleporting spell work. It work by sending him to what was clearly not Earth or Earth of his knowledge. The spell he used and the reason behind it was similar to how the kids in school would do the whole bloody Mary thing. Of course what made it different was the very specific instructions that went on for three pages.
Growling torn him from his thoughts. He ran immediately without looking. His logic told him if it was a threat his best chance was not standing still while it pounced. He choose to run towards the city... might be a wee bit safer than the woods he thought.
The howling of the creature scared him more with each passing moment. The walls were very near now.
A claw caught his shoulder. Falling down he finally saw the monster. The skin of it was night black with bone like armor covering some areas. It look like a werewolf.
"oh shit!" He scrambled to move to the side as he got hit by one of its claws. The strike landed across his eye. Blood ran down onto his lip. He thought that this couldn't be the end. Mauled to death by a demon after a high-school dare.
A whoosh of air went past.
A warm voice spoke. "You can get up now. The Beowulf is gone."
He saw a woman in a white hood cape with faded red hair standing where the grim was. After getting up he saw she had real silver eyes. "Uhh, thanks. For like literally saving my literal life... literally."
She smiled. "No problem. It's what I am here to do after all!"
"Summer, we need to get going." A gruff voice announced.
She turned around. "Coming!" Smiling, she said to him. "Can you make it to vale from here?"
The city walls were honestly really close. "Yes." He said curtly.
Looking over he saw three people walking up. A down to Earth looking man. A nonchalant guy in a suite like thing. Then a woman that seemed like she was upset that he was not dead.
"So why is a kid out here. Out side the city?" The lady with the sword said.
"Easy Raven. He just got attacked." Walking up to him, the man in the suite continued. "By the way. Why are you out here anyways."
Everyone was looking at him, waiting for an answer. He wasn't sure what they would accept or use to commit him. He knows nothing about this place so making up a backstory really won't work. He also hated the idea of using amnesia. Maybe just being honest. The worst that can happen is getting committed for a while.
"Well it's a little hard to explain."
Summer kindly added. "That's okay. We do need to get going. Hey Tai, can you unlock his aura quickly?"
"Yep!" Tai said walking towards him. He began chanting something he didn't remembered with his hands on his shoulder and over his heart.
Halfway through Raven mumbled. "Good thinking. This way we won't need to feel too bad if he dies."
"Alright, done! Now we gotta go. Bye you!" Tai said.
"Oh, my name is Leon!" He said as they left.
"So why were you out there anyways?" The nurse was finishing up with him.
Feeling that being honest with someone like her might end poorly, he said. "My home was attack. There wasn't many of us to begin with. Mostly my immediate family and a few others." The mirror showed that he was going to have a long scar from forehead to cheek bone. His eye was luckily still good. "They all died. I lived. Only be... because I ran the moment it began instead of fighting."
The nurse patted his back. "It's okay. You're safe now."
Wrote this from a day dream. Not sure I would finish this but there are going to be a few chapters for certain. I'll use Shakespeares brevity is soul of wit style to try to avoid putting in filler. This will be the shortest chapter I will write on this. 689 words is too short to be common. The rest will be between 2-6 thousand words. I'll try to add to the world of rwby rather than have a idle observer just to avoid blowing up the RWBY story and not have an op character that solves everything easily. I have not read the comics so sorry for messing up that stuff when I do.
