Everyone knew the leader of the Steam Team on Sodor was Thomas the Tank Engine. He may not be big, but he does lead this team and is number 1.
Ironically, the leader of the Steam Team band is Tyler Mitchell, who is also Thomas's driver. Well, he's the leader of the boys in the band, but he was still considered a leader and also wears number 1.
Thomas and Tyler have a very strong friendship. They work very well together and get the job done good.
Tyler however is not very fond of Thomas's cheekiness and teasing of others. He's usually able to handle it, but sometimes he doesn't like that and has to intervene. Despite that though, Tyler adores Thomas very much and will always be there for him.
Today, Thomas was scheduled to work with Duck. Thomas was set to meet him at Crovan's Gate.
Thomas arrived there early and waited. He didn't sleep that much last night though and was very impatient.
" Why is he not here yet? " - Thomas
" He'll be here soon. " - Tyler
" Still, an engine should never be late for his job. " - Thomas
" Yeah. " - Tyler
He said it very sarcastically though.
Thomas groaned and waited 10 more minutes. Soon Duck did finally arrive, he came towards Crovan weirdly though. The main reason why he was late was because something happened to him where he moves more slowly, and more, waddily like.
Thomas noticed that and start giggling.
" Duck? What's wrong with you? You're moving like you actually are a duck. " - Thomas
The cheeky one giggled some more and Duck frowned.
" I accidentily hit a rock on the way here and it damaged my left back wheel and that's why i'm moving like this. " - Duck
" You should get that checked out then, or Montague will no longer be one of your names. " - Thomas
He laughed some more and Tyler wasn't fond of this.
" Thomas. Knock it off. " - Tyler
" What? It's just a joke. " - Thomas
" It's actually rude. " - Tyler
" No it's not. " - Thomas
" Yes it is. " - Duck
Thomas stopped laughing, if Duck says its rude, then it is in fact rude.
" Sorry Duck. Anyways, let's get to the pier. " - Tyler
" Right. " - Duck
The two engines headed towards the pier. The two agreed to bring some boat supplies to the pier so that a new boating attraction could be built there.
As they were heading towards it, Thomas was forced to move slower due to Duck's slow speed.
" Can you be any slower? " - Thomas
" This is as fast as I can go. " - Duck
" Well this is how fast I can go. " - Thomas
He started picking up speed and leaving Duck behind.
" Wait. Where are you going? " - Duck
" Just going to the place we are suppose to go. " - Thomas
He giggled more and Tyler started to get annoyed.
" OK Thomas. You should stop, Duck is damaged and doesn't deserve to be teased. " - Tyler
" Why do you always assume I'm teasing someone? " - Thomas
" I don't. " - Tyler
" Yes you do actually. Every time I talk to someone, you always have to say something. " - Thomas
" I don't do that every time. " - Tyler
" Well I don't like it and you should mind your own business. " - Thomas
" Hey! I'm not the one teasing my friends. " - Tyler
" And I'm not the one complaining about everyone you do. " - Thomas
" Can I say something? " - Duck
" No. " - Tyler and Thomas
" That's it Tyler. Don't talk to me. " - Thomas
" Fine then. " - Tyler
The two stopped arguing and the two engines would soon arrive at the pier to drop off the supplies.
Once they did, their trucks were emptied out and the workers brought the supplies over to the pier and started building a new boat.
Duck looked out into the sea and saw many sailboats out and about.
" You gotta admit Thomas. It would be great being able to be out at sea and explore the sights within. " - Duck
" Well hey, you can actually do that since you're now able to swim. " - Thomas
Duck sighed and Thomas looked over at Tyler expecting him to say something, but Tyler didn't say a word.
" Hey sir. Can you help us move these wheels, they are pretty heavy. " - pier worker
" Why yes kind sir, I will. " - Tyler
He stepped out of Thomas's cab and walked over towards the pier workers, but did look back at Thomas and smirk. Thomas only rolled his eyes.
Tyler started to help the workers move the very heavy wheels. Heck, those wheels were heavier than Gordon's.
Tyler and 3 other workers picked up the 1st wheel and started walking it over, but then one of the workers slipped on a puddle and all 4 guys dropped the wheel.
It landed on its side, so the wheel started to roll away. It then started rolling down the track that lead into the ocean, the one where Thomas fell into when chasing Skiff and Sailor John.
Thomas saw the wheel and decided to chase after it.
" I got it guys. " - Thomas
He started to go after it.
" Thomas wait! " - Duck
The tracks were fairly slippery and so Thomas started to roll down and not stop himself. The wheel had already landed in the water.
" Oh god! " - Thomas
He braked but couldn't stop and Thomas landed face first into the ocean. Tyler and everyone else ran over to help.
" Hold on Thomas! " - Tyler
Him and 3 other workers grabbed onto the Thomas and pulled him back up. These guys must be stronger than all since they could lift Thomas back up onto the track very easily, Tyler was strong but that strong?
Thomas was soon back on the tracks. He did have seaweed on his buffers and salty water all over his face, and he even spit some out, everyone knew how awful sea water tasted.
Sadly, the wheel was far out at sea now and probably isnt coming back unless someone can get. Perhaps Captain can.
Once Thomas was back up, Tyler put his hand on his cab. Thomas was expecting him to yell at him, but Tyler didn't.
" Whew. That was close, you've been in the water way too much. " - Tyler
" Yeah, but now I lost the wheel and ruined this construction. " - Thomas
" Hey. You did your best OK, and i'm impressed from what you did. " - Tyler
" You are? " - Thomas
Tyler smiled and put his hand on Thomas's cheek.
" Look buddy. I'm sorry for yelling at you. I usually am able to handle your teasing, but sometimes i don't. " - Tyler
" So, you don't hate me? " - Thomas
" What? No way! You are special my friend. The fact that I got to be your driver makes me want to be your driver as long as I live. " - Tyler
" Really? " - Thomas
" Yes. Even if you are cheeky and a bit childish. I love everything about you and I will always protect you. " - Tyler
He rubbed Thomas's cheek some more , it may be wet with salt water, but Tyler didn't care and Thomas giggled.
" Thank you so much Tyler. I'm sorry about what I said earlier, you should always talk to me, cause that'll make me feel more adventurous. " - Thomas
" Trust me. You have been for years. " - Tyler
Thomas whistled and Tyler even whistled himself.
" In fact, I think i'm gonna write a song about you and why i adore you so much. " - Tyler
" Please do that. I would love it. " - Thomas
" You got it my boy. " - Tyler
He decided to give a kiss on Thomas's cheek. Tyler did it quick though cause he didn't want sea water to get in his mouth, but Thomas still laughed.
Duck then gave down to the pair.
" Hey guys. Sorry to interrupt, but look. " - Duck
The 3 looked out into the sea and saw that one of the sailboats caught the wheel and brought it back up onto their boat, even though it was heavy. That made Thomas feel much better.
Tyler felt better too and sat on Thomas's buffers and the three friends looked out into the nice sea.

Hey guys, back again with another story. This one will pretty much consist of small chapters with the engine and driver pairs. First we had Thomas and Tyler, next will be Erik and Edward.
And you should know that I have 3 weeks off of school because of COVID- 19. I'm guessing a lot of you have that too. So I'll have much more time to write. I'm happy about no school, but still, everyone out there please wash your hands, stay home when sick, and stay as healthy as you can. This outbreak needs to end now.
Anyways, next chapter will be up tomorrow or Tuesday. I have no idea.
