First Act

There was something surprisingly beautiful in a man's face curled in pain. Or at least, that's what Yukinoshita Haruno thought. It brought a sense of power, a sense of superiority when she could crack men as she pleased while knowing full well the other way around wasn't the case. Still, one would think having blood puked on her face would change her perception of the man… No, boy; of the boy in front of her.

"Guhu!" The person above her couldn't have been older than her sister. Perhaps the same age? With an immense strain, he took the knife that just barely missed his heart, using the wall he was touching with his bowed head to compensate for the lack of strength in his body. He sprayed Haruno again with hit red liquid before he let out a guttural howl and the wound closed with a gross sound of mended flesh.

Stain stared through the ordeal. Flexing his hands after being shocked with an electric quirk when he got in the way of Stain's knife and Haruno. She had been to careless, didn't prepare enough, and the result was that she was almost dead. Almost. Until this boy jumped to bite the bullet for her.

"You're…" The boy groaned before Stain could continue. Catching his breath, he let out a demented laugh. It sounded so wrong, so out of place. Why was it so beautiful in its madness?

"And here I thought this was an emergency." The boy spat blood again, a wild grin crossing his face in all of its length "Didn't you hear me back at the Sports Festival? Go jump off a cliff and die, asshole. You're not fooling anyone."

"My duty is sacred." The Hero Killer stalked "You lot could never understand its importance. You who taint the true Heroes'…" The boy laughed again. With less effort this time, all the more deranged.

"Shut up!" He wheezed out, hands supporting him on his knees. He was clearly exhausted "Just shut up! We're not doing this. You're just a loser. A sad, stupid fart that couldn't cut it!" The boy spat, more saliva than blood this time around "What? Mommy told you you could be popular? Give me a break."

"Enough! That's…" Stain stopped. Stunned out of his words by an unseen force.

The boy leaped glowing orange, striking the Hero Killer straight to jaw while simultaneously doubling his height and growing his hands bigger.

It sent Stain straight to the wall. Dug him almost completely whole without the villain being able to struggle.

The boy pressed his hands to the wall and it began to melt as he turned to his normal height. Exhausted, but having captured the Hero Killer just like that.

She opened her mouth. Felt the stuff drying on her face for the first time.

"…Are you alright?" The boy turned to look at her. His frown wasn't one of exertion, but one of worry. Was he worried about her well-being? She was fine. Almost got killed but… Yeah, she was fine now "We have to go. You'll be safe."

He took her arm. Both of them flinched.

She took her hand back, used her suit to clean her face and neck from sweat and blood alike and shakily stood up. The boy stared.

"You're a Hero." Had he just noticed?

"…Yeah." She looked at him. She was taller, yet felt it didn't give her any advantage when the boy had dispatched so easily the villain that had almost killed her.

She had almost died there.

"Are you alright?" He asked. His eyes darting between the two of hers, suspicious as clear as the day in them. His features were rough, his hair wild and wet from the all the effort he had put up. He wasn't handsome, not compared to others his age, but somehow his frowning worry for her made his face to look like something impossibly beautiful for his factions.

She remembered his name. Had ignored his fight during the sports festival and now regretted it bitterly. He is Yukino's classmate, right?

She couldn't not smile at him "I am now."
