Hermione returns to her Seventh year at Hogwarts, almost friendless. Harry passed away in the war, so did Ron, her parents are dead too and she spends all of her holidays at the castle. She thinks she's alone and nothing will get better, until he makes it better.

A Dramione story.

The professor pointed to the blackboard, "does anyone want to explain the unforgivable curses?"

Hermione bit her lip. She would've answered but this was the one subject she didn't want to talk about. Especially so soon.

A older boy with black hair in a Ravenclaw uniform put his hand up, "The first curse is The cruciatuse curse."

The professors nodded, "And what does that do?"

The boy answered again, "The cruciatous curse is designed to tourture and harm a person-" Hermione inhaled sharply, "- But not to the point of death, however sometimes to insanity."

She blinked a few times before she glanced down at her arm, the pain burning in her as if it had just happened again. The voices filled her head.

'Put the boys in the cellar! I want to have a chat with this one- girl to girl!'

Hermione shivered as if she was sitting in the cold rooms of Malfoy Manor.

"What about another curse?" The professor asked, frowning at Hermione's absence of answer.

"There's the avadakedavra curse." Came a girls voice from the front.

The world slowed and She remembered the fatal moment when two voices yelled that curse, one of Harry Potter, and the other of Voldemort. Causing them both death. She remembered stumbling across Ron's dead body. She remembered Having the vision of her parents death, and then finding out it was real.

"And what does that curse do?" The professor asked.

The girl smiled, liking the new smart girl attention that Hermione wasn't getting.

"The avadakedavra curse is designed-"

"To kill." Hermione muttered loudly. Cutting her off. She didn't mean to say it that loud. The class turned towards her and at that very moment a tear decided to fall from her eyes. She wiped it away quickly as she sniffed. But then another tear fell. And another. She wiped her eyes quickly before she heard the bell ring.

She was the first to exit the classroom and run away. Far away. She dashed through the corridors, crying. Her eyes flowing like rivers, down her cheeks.

Everyone she saw turned to her with sympathy, saying things like, "Are you Okay?" Or "Hermione what happened?"

But she just pushed them away and kept going. She didn't want anyone to feel sympathetic for her. She just wanted to be alone so she could feel sympathetic for herself.

Draco exited the classroom and went to the only place he knew she'd go. The head's common room.
