Hey there!

There is a lot going on in this world right now and we are all afraid. But having a little time on the hands is a good thing for creative work and i´m recently super obsessed with riverdale, the characters and the actors.

Team Bughead of course, this little story was originally supposed to be all about them, but I love love love FP (and i´m devastated that Skeet will leave in season 5) (if they can even continue….in case we don´t all die) , he is an amazing character and kind of took over the scene. Sorry.

Scene takes place in 2x8, where Jug and Betty throw the serpent retirement party for FP, Betty does the serpent dance (akward) and we have a very sad Bughead break up.

Betty left and Jughead does what every normal person does after a break up. Drinking.

„HEY Boy, what are you doing?" FP couldn´t believe it. His son was sitting at the bar of the white worm, drinking something that didn´t looked like coke at all.

He took the glas out of Jughead´s hand and smelled.

Rum. Wunderful.

"Tall boy why the hell are you giving my underaged son alcohol?" Jughead didn´t look sober at all. He was barely even sitting and more hanging on the chair.

Cause he didn´t want to make a scene, FP dragged Jughead out of the bar and sat him down on the hard pavement next to the bikes. He hoped the kid wouldn´t puke.

"Hey can you talk? Alcohol normally doesn´t make deaf." The teenager looked at him angrily. "Leave me alone dad, I´m fine." FP shook his head. Why did this kid had to have such defensive walls?

"You are drunk and i´m going to get your ass home." Then he remembered that Alice had already leaved the party when he had still seen Betty around. "Is Betty already home? Do we have to drive her?" Jughead pressed his lips together. His hands started shaking. Oh. FP understood.

It was not surprising after what happened at the bar tonight. He had been shocked when the blonde girl had started singing and taking of her clothes. A view at Jughead´s face was all he had needed to understand, that the boy was as shocked as him. That he didn´t want this.

"I´m sorry boy." Jughead´s eyes got watery. "I …I had to do this dad. Penny…she…she…"He breathed heavily. "She said she would hurt Betty if I wouldn´t do what she wanted."

FP felt dizzy. It´s crazy. History repeating itself. A voice that he hadn´t heard since a long time rushed into his mind. "You know what´s going to happen if you don´t do what I say? Alice Cooper. Blonde curls, quite a bad baby girl. Her pretty face would look good with some deep knife carves, don´t you think?"

It was the reason why he stopped seeing Alice at some point. Going out with Vixens. Distracting Penny from his love for Alice. Seeing her getting hurt would have been the worst thing ever. And he had tried so hard. Forgetting her.

And now there was his son. Same hair as him, same jacket. In love with the daughter of the woman he always admired. He remembered seeing Betty for the first time. He immediately knew it. Fate had played him and Alice.

FP´s thoughts returned back to the sobbing boy in front of him as Jughead spoke again, really quiet. "I hate myself so much dad. I messed your life up. She deserves better than me anyways."

"Boy don´t say that!" FP shook his head and pulled Jughead into a hug. He was so grateful to be here for him at this moment. Times are rough and the thing with Penny was still something that will be hard to deal with, but he was here. Out of prison. Finally able to give his son the love he always deserved. The thought of Jughead choosing being homeless over living with him was something that he had thought about in prison a lot.

Being sober makes things worse. Seeing what he missed.

He was so glad to see Jughead with Betty. She is different than her mum, not a bad girl at all. A girl that gave his son the love and attention that he needed. His son was happy again. She was more than just a girlfriend to him, she was basically the only light in his darkness. He had seen the gazes they shared and the way they touched each other.

FP was not a mushy guy at all but these two just belonged together, he could see that.

"We will fix this. You won´t lose her forever. This is a temporary thing and we will find a solution boy."

He stood up and helped Jughead getting up. "But now you have to sleep. Tomorrow we will still have these problems, but I will handle everything with Penny and you will use your genius brain to figure out what you want."

The teenager sighed and had trouble walking to his bike. "Oh no no no Jug, we are going to walk home. Your little drunk ass can not drive home right now." The Jones man didn´t have to walk far, but FP had to help his drunk son from time to time. And Jughead has now crossed the drunk line of not talking and told his dad stuff, that he would normally never tell.

"I didn´t know breasts would be that soft dad. Like marshmallows. Yeah that´s a good comparison. Not poetically fitting of course but…oh I should write a poem called "Betty´s Boobs!" I could so do that!"

FP was amused but not really prepared for that kind of talk from his private life keeping son.

"Oh and dad did you and Alice had an affair? That comment she made when we picked you up! I BET she looked just like Betty when she was younger and from the southside with a serpent jacket? Wow yeah you so did her…"

FP almost dropped his son.

"Boy you are deranged! And drunk!" Jughead smiled.

"I mean Alice still looks kinda hot you know…" FP couldn´t help but laughed.

This was something he should safe to tell one day a Bughead wedding.
