Chapter 1

"Keep walking it is not our buisness" came the voice of a very feminine but dangerous man with long read hair. He was walking wih one of his friends who had started as an enimy many years before when the red haired man had stolen an artifact from spirit world. "I said keep going Kuwabara" Kurama said putting a hand on the orange haired man's arm.

"We gotta tell Urameshi" Kuwabara said as he turned fallowing his friend who only looked human. In reality he was a fox demon thief. Kuwabara took one last look over his shoulder as he walked away. "Urameshi is gonna be" he was cut off by a look from Kurama. Suddenly he crahed into Kurama who had stopped without warning. "Hey what's the big idea" the tall man said. "Hey what is it" he pressed,

Kurama held up a hand for silence and pulled hi friend into an ally. "Go home to your wife Kuwabara and for now do not say anything to Yusuke. After all it has been years and she has clearly moved on as has he or did you forget" the fox said as he waved goodbye to his friend. In his human form Kurama was in his late 20s his human name was Shuuichi Minamino. He had met Yusuke and the Kuwababr when they were all around 14 or 15. "You must want something. I thought you said never again to the human world" Kurama said. "Just as I have said my goodbyes to demon world until my human mother dies" the fox let his rose whip slide down his arm and into his hand ready to fight.

"I did not come here to fight you. I am here to tell you your dragon is in danger and needs you" came the voice of a tall male who looked human but wasn't. They stranger was pale with long purple hair that looked black until light hit it. "I am sure I am not the first person you want to see but I thought you would like to know about him being in danger" the male demon said. He had known Yoko Kurama since way before his time as a human so it had been a very long time since Kurama was very old.

Kurama stiffened "Hiei is in danger" he repeated no one had called the fire demon his dragon in years. "What sort of danger" he asked taking a fighting stance. Suddenly he felt someone come up next to him he did not have to look over to know it was Yusuke. "Did Kuwabara call you" he asked already knowing the anwer.

""Yeah so I closed up shop and rushed right over. Care to tell me what's going on." Yusuke was worried about Kurama he had no idea what was going on or who they were stareing down but he was always ready to help one of the little group and if that ment he got to fight that was just an added bonus for him. Sure he was all for helping demons fit in and get along with the humans around them should they choose to live that way. But if a demon posed a threat to his friends or family he would not hesitate to put said demon down like a rabid dog.

"So you are the former spirit detective. Son of Raizen. Yusuke Urameshi am I correct" the mysterious demon said. "As I told the fox I am not here to fight. I am simply here to warn him someone he cares for safty." The male turned on his heel and was gone.

Kurama's mind was raceing there had been no details but if it was true he had to do something. He jumped when Yusuke put a hand on his shoulder and kissed his cheek. They had started dateing a few months before hand. Still if Hiei was in danger Kurama took a deep breath. "He said Hiei is in danger. Yusuke I know that you know about the past I share with him so I have to go make sure he is ok" the fox took another deep breath. He felt Yusuke's fingers twine with his own the former human brought his hand up lifting Kurama's hand with his own and kissed the foxes fingers.

"I know you have to go. Do you want me to come with you" Yusuke asked not surprised when the fox said no. "By the way I know Keiko is gettig married. No Kuwabara didn't tell me. She invited all of us to the wedding. We have both move on she has what's his name. I have you and I could not be happier. Hurry back ok. I will keep living on the old hag's land until you get bck. Kuwabara and Yukia could use me around with her being pregnant. I wonder if Hiei knows about them being married" Yusuke said. The two of them had plans to move in together but now that would have to wait. "Hurry back ok hopefully Hiei will come back with you. Now I have to ask who that was that warned you about Hiei" Yusuke asked but he wasn't sure he would get an answer.

"Can I answer that later" Kurama said glad when he got a nod and a kiss. "Will you check on my mother while I am gone" Kurama asked relived when he got another nod.

With one last look at Yusuke and a final kiss Kurama walked towards the border between worlds. Within a few hours he was in demon world standing on the cliffs that met the forest just inside the border between living and demon worlds. Kurama saw Mukuro's fortress in the distance luckily it would not take that long to get to. Kurama began to move as quickly as he could not bothering to respond to anyone one he passed until he heard something that gave him pause. He spun on his heel pinning the demon who had spoke to a tree by his throat. He spoke calmly his face the same calm mask it always was with his intence gaze focused on his captive audience.

"What do you mean I will not find my partner with Mukuro."
