Directions of the Hogwarts castle are based off of the Harry Potter games on PC.

Helen sighed, once again she was lost. One would think that after 5 years in this castle you would know how to get to potions. She looked around. She was by the Charms classroom; how she even got there, she had no idea. But this always seemed to be the case. She had the worst sense of direction. She had been getting lost since her first year. When she had Charms she ended up in the Transfiguration Courtyard and when she needed to find the courtyard that lead to the Owlery she could never find the way to get to the clock tower. She gave up on asking people for directions long ago, they always made fun of her or sent her in the wrong direction.

She sat on a bench contemplating whether she should just go and sit in the library or attempt to find the Viaduct. She knew how to get to the dungeons from there; the only problem was she was lost on how to get to the Viaduct. Sighing once more she got up and decided to look for the Viaduct. She had 5 minutes to get to class. She had been wandering around trying to find her way and realised that she would probably be late for Potions if she didn't hurry. Professor Snape was at his wits end with her. If it wasn't for her being in his house he would probably deduct 50 to 100 points each time, but that didn't stop him from handing her detentions every time she had potions. She lost 10 points here and there but almost always got detention. Professor McGonagall was also losing it with her. She deducted points and gave her detentions.

As she was walking looking for a staircase that would hopefully lead to the Viaduct she bumped into someone.

"Hey! Watch where you're going!" It was a red headed Gryffindor in her year. She had seen him before and was sure that he did potions with her. Maybe she should follow him.

"I'm sorry; I wasn't looking where I was going." She mumbled, never having been good at the social aspect of life, she preferred to tuck herself in with a book. People made her nervous.

"What's this? A Slytherin apologising? Gred I don't think such a thing has happened before!"

"Right you are Forge! Say, aren't you that girl who's always late?"

She then realised that there were two red heads. They were identical and she highly doubted that Gred and Forge were their real names. She blushed and looked away.

"I'm not always late, just once in a while" she defended herself despite knowing that she was nearly always late.

"We beg to differ, the amount of times you're in detention says otherwise as well"

She looked up in shock. During detention she never really paid much attention to who was there. Normally they weren't people she knew so she just minded her own business. It was at this point that she realised that she would definitely be late for potions if she didn't get a move on. She decided to take a chance and ask them for help, hoping that they wouldn't make fun of her.

She mumbled to the two red heads.

"What? I don't think anyone could hear you then, speak up" they leaned in closer to try and hear her.

She turned bright red and tried again.

"Please help me get to Potions" It was still soft, but a bit louder this time.

Their eyes widened in. She knew they were going to make fun of her, people always did, whether it was about her being in Slytherin or how shy she was or even as simple as a fifth year not knowing their way around.

"Are you lost? Is this why you're always late?" The one on the left smiled at her. She nodded meekly waiting for the teasing.

"Well seeing as we're on our way there too I guess we could help, follow us!" They then gently grabbed her arms and proceeded to march in what she hoped was the right direction.

To say she was confused was an understatement, she was absolutely baffled! These two complete strangers were helping her, and they were from Gryffindor. Now unlike most Slytherin's she had nothing against Gryffindor, this annoyed most of her housemates. They seemed to have some never ending feud and when asked why they hated Gryffindor they simply replied with 'because they're from Gryffindor'. It made absolutely no sense to her and so she decided that she wasn't going to waste her time with it.

These two were different though. They didn't seem to care. She briefly wondered if these two were part of the Weasley family that the Malfoy kid seemed to hate based solely on the fact that his father told him to. Whenever she heard him talk about them he always mocked him based on the fact that they couldn't seem to afford everything his family could. She never defended them because she didn't know them as well as the fact she was scared that the attention would be brought to her second hand clothes.

She was a half-blood but she never knew her father and so she grew up like a muggle. She kept this close and didn't tell anyone in her house for obvious reasons. Her family didn't have much but they had enough. She feared if the pure bloods ever found out she would be ridiculed.

She was dragged out of her thoughts by Professor Snape's voice.

"Ah, Miss Stein, I see you're on time for once. Get to your seat" it was also then when she realised that she had made it just in time. The twins hadn't made fun of her nor had they led her astray. Looking around for them she discovered that they were surprisingly sitting next to her. Deciding to thank them after class, she took her books out.

During class she noticed some things about the twins. Firstly they were indeed the Weasley's. She had learnt this thanks to Professor Snape. She also learnt that they were called Fred and George. And lastly she learnt that they were plotting something.

Helen had the distinct feeling that this wasn't the first time and she highly suspected that it wouldn't be the last from what others had said about them. Still, from what was seen of their plotting she decided then and there to sit at the Ravenclaw table with her only friend. Luna had been her friend since she was in first year and Helen was in fourth year. She wasn't too popular and lots of people called her Loony.

After class Helen rushed to catch us to the twins. She finally caught up to them in the Viaduct.

"Um… thank you for helping me" she said once she had caught their attention. They seemed to still be discussing their scheme.

"It's no problem, do you know how to get to your next class?" the twin on the left asked her.

"I have transfiguration now, I'm sure I can manage" she didn't want to bother them more than she already had. The twin on the right laughed.

"We're on our way there now anyway so come on. We're Fred and George by the way"

"Um, I'm Helen, thank you for showing me the way. If you don't mind me asking, which one of you is Fred and which is George?" she didn't want to annoy them by asking too many questions but she honestly couldn't tell who was who.

"We've decided to let you figure that one out yourself" they grinned mischievously at her.

She could help but wonder if she would have been better off staying lost.
