If the friends characters were stuck in quarantine in 2020. They all live in their separate homes with their families and stuff.
Name: Stuck in quarantine
Chapter one: Day one
A/N: I've wanted to write this story for about a month and today I decided it was time. This is basically just the day The Bings decided to start social distancing. The next few chapters might be about the other characters too idk yet. So anyway, I dedicate this chapter to my friend Emma who's very excited about reading this.
Early March 2020
"Hello! Is anyone home?" Chandler asked as he entered his house. "In the kitchen honey." Monica was wiping down the counters. "18 years and 10 months, you've always been in the kitchen yet, I always ask." Chandler walked into the kitchen and found his wife cleaning. "One of your many quirks." She stood up and gave him a little wave. "What's this? No hug? No kiss? Are we getting a divorce?" Chandler joked as he took a step forward. Monica jumped back. "No of course not. Have you not been following the news at all?" "Sure I have, but the news doesn't say why you won't hug me."
Monica turned on a tv in the corner of the kitchen, still wearing her cleaning gloves. Chandler looked at the tv for a few minutes until it fell into place. "The virus? You're scared of that virus." Chandler asked as he turned around. "Nooooo, I'm not scared of it, I just don't want to catch it, which means-" "Social distancing." Chandler finished. "So just because some chinese guy ate a bat I can't kiss my wife?" Chandler asked.
"We're home!" Erica closed the door behind her and her slightly older brother. "We'll be a minute." Monica shouted back. Erica and Jack took off their backpacks and coats.
"You get to kiss your wife after you've cleaned yourself up." Monica said with a big grin on her mouth as she walked out of the kitchen into the hallway. "How was school?" Monica said as she sprayed her childrens coats and bags with bacteria killing spray. "Uh fine. What are you doing?" Erica answered. "I'm killing anything that could be the virus." "It's not like anyone at our school has it and even if they did we wouldn't be around them." Jack shot back. "Yeah well you guys aren't going to school until this whole thing blows over." Monica said absent-mindedly. "You're not letting them go to school? I thought we wanted them to become successful." Chandler said as he walked out of the kitchen. "If you would keep up with everything that's going on you would know that the people that are able are advised to stay home in order to stop the spreading of the disease." "Look we're all here for not needing to go to school but how exactly are we gonna survive if we can't go out?" Jack asked. "Yeah how are we going to get food and exercise, and you know, an education?" Erica filled in. "It's funny how you guys think that Monica isn't prepared for any kind f crisis, do you even know your mother?"
"Follow me." Monica said as she started to walk, and her family followed. They walked down into the basement. Monica stopped in front of a door. She took out her keyes and unlocked the door. She opened the door and revealed a perfectly clean, perfectly organised room with supplies a couch a small tv and a bookshelf. "This is your mother's panic/storage room." Chandler explained. "And why, may I ask, do you need such a room?" Erica asked. "I go in here when things get too much. It doesn't happen often but I love to know it exist. Then i also clean it once a week to make sure nothing has broken or passed its expiration date." Monica explained.
"One question, why didn't you guys tell us about this?" Jack asked. "Yeah why didn't we get to hear about this until just now. It's not like it would hurt us to know." Erica added. "Look it's not that I didn't trust you it's just that I didn't see a point in having you guys know about it. If it's to any comfort, me and dad are the only ones who knew about this, and now that it's actually important that you know about it, you do. I don't want anyone to mess up in here which means if you need anything you come to me and ask me to get it. I have the only key so there's no point in going to dad in order to sneak around me. Understood?" Erica and Jack nodded. "I don't see any meaning in standing here. Why don't you two go upstairs. You guys can have a snack, I'm going to have a quick chat with your dad." Monica said as she closed the door and locked it. Erica and Jack nodded and she put her keys in her pocket.
The teenagers walked up the stairs and into the kitchen. Erica grabbed an apple and Jack a muesli bar. "What do you think they're talking about?" Erica asked her brother after swallowing a bite of her apple. "Maybe they're not talking." Jack said with a wink. "First of all, they're not doing that, They're talking. Second of all, eew that's gross they're our parents." Erica put down her apple on the clean counters. "They're not our real parents." Jack said in a low voice. "Jesus Christ! How many times do I have to tell you, just because mom didn't give birth to us doesn't mean they're not our real parents. They love us. They care for us. They wanted kids so bad mom was willing to give up her dream of being pregnant if it meant she could have kids.." Erica's rant about how their parents carried on for a while.
Meanwhile outside of Monica's security room Erica was right, they were just talking.
"Are we really not going to go out in a while? Like not at all?" Chandler asked. "Look you know I'm not a big people person but there's actually people that I enjoy to spend time with besides you. Don't get me wrong, if I'm going to be stuck inside because of a pandemic there's no one I'd rather be with than you and our kids, but don't you think after a while we might go a little insane?" Chandler said, out of breath he stopped talking. "I get what you mean, I love going to work and going on runs and all that stuff that require going outside, and I'm going to miss our friends, I know we don't hang out half as much as we used to but Ross and Rachel still live down the street and Phoebe and Mike still lives 4 blocks away. It's not like we can't be outside at all, we still have our garden, and the balcony. Right now it might seem hard but we're staying inside for our, and the elderly's best." Monica said, having an urge to give Chandler a comforting hug but decided it was best not to. "Yeah, you're right, you're always right so it's nothing shocking. And even though this is a suck-y situation, we're still pretty darn lucky. Thanks to you we have supplies, and thanks to Erica's good heart we're not completely alone, we have our kids and we're also lucky enough to actually have a house to hid away in." Monica reached in her pocket. "Whatcha doin'?" Chandler asked. Monica pulled out her disinfecting spray from her pocket. "Cleaning. Close your eyes and don't breathe for the next 8 seconds." Monica said smiling. "Okaay, but I'm only trusting you because you're my wife." Monica klicked the spray bottle on the head a few times in Chandlers direction. "I'm cleaning you." Monica said, Chandler could hear in her voice that she was grinning and he wanted to say something clever back but he also didn't want to inhale the fumes. "You can breathe now." Monica said, still grinning. "Now do me." She said. "I'm not gonna say no to that." Chandler said with a slight cuckle. "Cut it out." She said while handing him the bottle. He sprayed her, just like she did to him. "You can breathe now." Monica opened her eyes and took a deep breath. "Why did we need to do that?" Chandler asked. "So we could do this." Monica leaned in and wrapped her arms around Chandler. Their lips met. They were locked in each others arms for several moments. It started to become passionate when Chandler pulled away. "We can't." "I know." She answered and leaned in again. They stood there, hugging, kissing, until Chandler catched a glimpse of his watch. "Uh honey, it's 6 pm. We've been down here for almost 2 hours." Chandler said. "Oh dear god. Wait. We've been gone for 2 hours and our kids haven't come down looking for us! For all they know we might've been murdered." Monica said with a slight panic. "Or we, 90 minutes ago realised that you had been here for 30 minutes so we came down to check on you. And when you didn't see us we sat down and waited to see for how long it would take you guys to see us. Clearly you didn't at all." Had Jack said, giving his parents quite a fright. "We're hungry now because we just spent 90 minutes on our phones waiting for you guys to snap back to reality. So what's for dinner?" Erica added. "I don't know who the hell raised you but it sure wasn't us, and as for what's for dinner you guys decide. And before you say anything, you decide because you're making dinner today." Monica said. "What why?" Erica and Jack said in unison. "Because you guys let me and dad waist 90 minutes, no offense-" Chandler cut her off "Some taken." Monica shot him a glance as she continued. "-of valuable time that we could've spent doing practically anything, instead you guys decide to see for how long we can show affection to each other without noticing you two." "Ok then we're having boxed mac n' cheese for dinner tonight." Erica said with a smile. "Great. We love boxed mac n' cheese. It's actually the first meal i ever cooked for your dad." "It was the best mac n' cheese I had ever had." Chandler put his arm around Monica. "Yeah so just call on us when dinner is ready." Monica said then she and Chandler walked away and up the stairs.
"What do we do now?" Chandler asked after they had climbed up the stairs and walked into the living room. "The good thing about having your bedroom on the third floor id that you can't hear everything that goes on in the bedroom from the first floor." Monica said with a wink. "I'm not gonna say no to that." Chandler said as he lifted up his wife and carried her up 2 flights of stairs and into the bedroom. (A/N: Yes, 50 year old Monica is light enough that 52 year old Chandler can carry her up two flights of stairs.)
Chandler and Monica was laying beside each other when they heard Erica coming up the stairs. They jumped up to get dressed. They both forgot their underpants which was an uncomfortable situation to be in for the rest of the evening. Erica knocked on the door. "Dinner's ready." She said. "We'll be out in a minute. We just woke up." Monica said, also giving her kids as to why they looked like they did.
When Monica and Chandler walked out of their room Erica giggled a little. She couldn't remember the last time she saw her parents so poorly dressed. Monica's hair was up in a messy bun and she was wearing Chandler's sweatpants and one of his t-shirts. Chandler was wearing a knicks sweatshirt and sweatpants that she was sure must be older than her. "Laugh all you want but for the first time in 3 years we're actually quite comfortable." Chandler said. "What happened three years ago?" Erica asked. "You and your brother was on summer camp for three weeks." Chandler said with a grin. "Gee thanks." Erica said and walked away. Monica turned around so she faced Chandler and gave him a peck on the lips. "You forgot to tell her that after 3 days we missed them so much we started looking through all of our photo albums."
When Chandler and Monica walked into the dining room they found the table beautifully set. There was four bowls of mac n' cheese under each bowl was a plate with 3 cherry tomatoes and a peace of something that looked like garlic bread. There was flowers in the wase and lit candles on the table. "Dinner is served." Jack said as he came out of the kitchen holding a bottle of diet coke. "Wow, you guys. This is beautiful." Monica said with her right hand over her mouth. Both of Chandlers hands were wrapped around Monica. "Can we take a seat?" Chandler asked. "Of course." Erica and Jack dragged out a chair each for Monica and Chandler to sit on. Before Monica sat down she took out her phone in order to take a photo for Instagram.
A few minutes go by and everyone is enjoying the food. "I need you guys to wash your hands firmly at least 5 times per day. I also want you to shower every morning. Sanitize your phones every day and try not to burn the house down." Monica said. "Of course. No one wants to catch the virus." Chandler confirmed. "Please don't leave the house unless it's absolutely necessary." Monica filled in. "Yes mom." Jack and Erica said in unison.
"Thank you so much for the dinner, it was truly wonderful." Monica said as she helped Erica and Jack put the dishes in the dishwasher. "Yeah it's the second best mac n' cheese I've ever had." Chandler, who was watching them pack, said. "We're gonna hit the hay now. Go to bed before midnight." Monica said blowing her kids a kiss.
A/N: Let me know what you guys think. Personally i kinda like it but let the record show that i wrote this in like 5 hours which is an awfully short time for me. Review if you feel like it, and until next time, goodbye.
