Hey guys, Sweet Fantasy's Magic here (or you may call me Sonia).
I know I'm sending different stories, but I intended to finish every single one of them one day. Just bare with me and enjoy my different stories.
This one I really wanted to do it because I'm realizing one of my teenage's dreams: pairing up one of my Sonic FCs, Krystal the Hedgehog, with Shadow the Hedgehog.
I will do my best to stay in character for every canon characters, and I hope you will enjoy this story. ~

Prologue
An invisible red thread connects those who are destined to meet, regardless of time, place or circumstance. The thread may stretch or tangle, but it will never break.
Four years ago, Sonic and his friends had to fight against Silver the Hedgehog, who was being used by Mephiles the Dark, the malevolent conscience, mind and will of the sun god Solaris.
Mephiles made Silver believe that Sonic was responsible for the state of his own era, which happened to be 200 years into the future, and on planet Earth. Silver developed a kind of grudge against Sonic from that moment on...until that he realized that what he was doing was wrong. Along with Blaze, they set out to find Sonic and helped him saving Princess Elise.
However, their efforts were in vain, as Mephiles waited for the right moment to strike down at Sonic. Indeed, since Iblis (Solaris's raw power) was trapped inside Princess Elise's soul, she was told to never cry, or the sun god would be released into the world.
Mephiles stroke at Sonic in his back with an energy spear (also called the "Dark Chaos Lance"), killing him instantly. Princess Elise cried over his death, which released Iblis into the world and allowed Mephiles to fuse back with him and to transform into Solaris, his true self.
Sonic's friends grieved over his death, but none was more affected than Amy Rose, who cried as her heart got broken into pieces. Princess Elise, however, used the power of the Chaos Emeralds - that Sonic's friends had gathered - to bring the blue hedgehog back to life, and revived him with a kiss.
Sonic, Shadow and Silver then fought Solaris in their ''Super Form'', and destroyed him, thus fixing up the timeline.
The story, however, didn't end there.
Silver and Blaze traveled back in their own time, 200 years into the future, to try and stop Iblis there. Silver wanted to sacrifice himself in order to save their world, but Iblis couldn't be sealed inside the silver hedgehog. However...Blaze was able to seal him inside of herself, destroying him in the process with her own flames in her soul.
However, this sacrifice made her disappear into thin air.
Silver was left with a scar on his soul, losing his best friend...and the one he had started to develop feelings for.
So, it was now up to him to build up his new future...
[Planet Earth, Green Hills, Sonic's era, four years later]
It was a beautiful sunny and cloudless day.
It is spring, and birds are flying and chirping happily, as it is the season of reprodution for many species in the animal kingdom, and many species were now either in search of a partner or giving birth to their offspring. Most of the snow had melted away by now, and the temperature was warmer, though it remained cold still.
In the Green Hills reserve, Sonic was siting under a tree's shadow, his back leaning against its bark and his arms placed behind his head to be more comfortable. Nearby, Tails was working on his plane, checking up its systems and making sure everything was in order. They had decided to come to the Green Hills reserve to relax a little, as Eggman had been trying to take over the world recently - again -, and they much needed it.
"Nothing's as wonderful as taking a breather and relax, don't you think, Sonic ?", Tails asked the blue hedgehog.
"Yeah, I should do this more often...", Sonic chuckled. "But I unfortunately still prefer running over this, I just have too much energy to burn...and besides, I love running."
Tails shook his head, chuckling too. "Yeah, I know."
They both smiled and kept relaxing.
Four years have passed, since the events that had taken place in Spagonia and in Soleanna City. Sonic and his friends did remembered all of the events that occured, despite the timeline beeing fixed when Shadow, Sonic and Silver destroyed Solaris. It meant that Sonic did 'die', but it never actually happened either...still, they remembered their adventure.
Sonic and his friends had came back from their travel trip in Spagonia after the Sun Festival was over. Princess Elise the Third and the humans, however, didn't remembered a thing that occured, so they were allowed to leave Spagonia and go back to the United Federation.
Knuckles has returned to Angel Island - which was floating above the Emerald Sea - to watch over the Master Emerald, as usual. Amy was left shaken up by Sonic's 'death', and she moved to Central City, while Vanilla, Cream and Cheese were living in Knothole. Vector, Espio and Charmy decided to settle down in Knothole as well, because they felt more comfortable living in the forest than in the city. Rouge settled down in Central City as well, and Shadow's whereabouts were mysterious, as he didn't bothered giving news to any of them, G.U.N included.
As for themselves, Sonic and Tails settled down in Central City as well. Their small house was just right outside the city, with a garage and a nice forest.
"Man, it's been a while that we've seen the others...", Sonic commented. "I wonder how Shadow's doing...that hedgehog must have been busy doing missions for G.U.N", he said, opening his eyes.
"You're itching for a challenge ?", Tails chuckled.
"Yeah...", Sonic smirked.
Just then, Sonic's communicator rang and he blinked in confusion, bringing his left hand to the device that was resting on the ground next to him.
It was Amy Rose calling him. Sonic answered the call, feeling surprised for such an unexpected call:
"Yo, Amy ! How are you doing ?"
He was rather curious. The pink hedgehog girl didn't called nor tried to hang out much for nearly two months, and he wondered why, as he was used to her always chasing after him. Tails approached Sonic to hear Amy's reply, as he too was curious.
"Hey, Sonic", Amy said rather calmly, which was unusual. "I've been doing good. What about you ?"
"Oh, I'm doing good as well, just chilling with Tails at the Green Hills reserve", Sonic replied. "And you, what are you doing ?"
"That's great", Amy said. "I'm currently hanging out at my place", she then answered.
There's a silence and Amy added:
"I am calling because...I have a favor to ask you. Could you tell everybody to gather in the Green Hills reserve on friday morning ? There's a friend I need to introduce to you and the rest of the gang. I was thinking it'd be a good idea to organize a picnic for everybody and present her then ?"
Sonic is a little surprised by her simple request. He was expecting her to bargain with him for a date or something. In fact...the pink hedgehog girl had changed quite a lot in those passed four years...
"Sure, Ames, I can do that no problem", he tells her.
"Alright, thank you, Sonic", Amy happily chirped. "I will contact Rouge, since we stayed in touch."
"Alright, I'll see you on friday", Sonic replied.
"Alright, see you, Sonic !"
Sonic ended the call and looked at Tails.
"Well, let's try and tell everyone about Amy's request", he said with a smile, as he got up to his feet.
"This is strange...why does she wants us to wait until friday to meet her friend ?", Tails blinked.
Sonic shrugged. "I don't know, but she was a little...hesitant to tell me her request...I suppose she was expecting me to decline..."
"Well, you...usually have to decline her requests to a 'date', so...probably you were both a little hesitant", Tails said, going to his plane.
Sonic jumped on one of the plane's wings and held onto its edge. He remain silent, as he thought about what Tails said, as the fox climbed onto his plane and got the engine started.
He was right: he was expecting Amy to ask him on a date again, but the truth was...she didn't ask him a single time to go on a date with her over the past four years. Somehow, the events that took place in Spagonia and Soleanna City changed her...
It changed them all.
"...Let's head to Angel Island", he told Tails. "Then whe can head to Knothole."
"Alright", Tails nodded. "Let's go for a flight !"
The plane soon took off, and they were flying in the direction of the Emerald Sea, above which the Angel Island is floating, to tell Knuckles about Amy's invitation.
Please, if you like the story so far, bare with me.
I'll do my best to keep on writing chapters as great and interesting as possible. :) I didn't planned on how many chapters there will be, but I will try to make the story interesting and worth to read.
I'll still be glad to get your reviews and your ideas (don't be shy, send me your ideas ! ~), both will greatly help me, if I have mistaken something (or if I have made mistakes with words and verbs X'D) and that it was pointed out. ^^
