Well, this is my first attempt at this kind of story, and well... I'm not going to make any of the heroes seem like villains in this situation, I'm going to do a more appropriate response to a giant spikey monster showing up. Anyway, this is based after the Superior Spider, not many people trust Peter at thhe moment.

As for Edd, he's the son of Thor as I usually do when I involve him in Marvel based stories. He's also Peter's best friend for the most part. I may do a three woman pairing for Edd and a three-way pairing for Peter, I just have a single pairing planned for Logan though he just seems to be a one woman kind of guy. Just my opinion.

Yes, that means Logan is also alive in this one, and yes, all three of them will be going. They're like a trinity of their own in some ways in this AU.

Ch.1 Shit Happens to the Best of Us

Edd Thorson wasn't sure what to expect when he walked into the bar. Two weeks have passed since the whole 'Superior Spider-Man' incident, the one that went on for an entire year of Doc Ock taking over Peter's mind and stuff as the villain ran around playing hero. He knew on instinct that something was wrong, only ones to believe him were Cap, Logan, and Laura.

The rest of the current Avengers roster, that weren't either missing or in space, saw it as a change of attitude, some say for the better. Edd had cut ties with most of them due to that as he tried to help Peter fight Ock the best he could, until his father, Thor, needed help with a thing or two. That lasted two months, and he came back right in time for Peter to snap back in control of his body.

Things then went downhill for the webhead. During the time with Ock in control, most of The Avengers sort of abandoned him, the company Ock built under Peter is now owned by Stark. The Fantastic Four put a freaking restraining order against the wall crawler of all things. The worst one of all was that Aunt May abandoned Peter as well.

Edd though, knew that Peter was needing a friend right now, and as his best friend, it was his duty to help him out. Laura did ask if she could come with him, but he told her that he needed to talk to Peter one on one. Despite the situation Peter is in, Edd needed advice.

He then began to walk into the bar. The sight he saw wasn't pretty.

Peter was literally draped over the bar with a few empty bottles of beer beside him, as well as some on the floor. It was simply depressing to see a man Edd saw as a brother down like this. The son of Thor walked up to the welll right now former vigilante and sat down next to him. "Hard root beer mixed with Jack Daniels and Tennessee Whisky, please."

The bartender nodded as he then sat a bottle infront of Peter, one that Edd immediately gave back to him, mouthing 'he's had enough' to the man before the bartender walked off. "Pete, sit up so we can talk," Edd said as he looked at the brown haired man beside him.

The man did so lazily, and Edd could see that he totally looked like shit. "Dude, you really need to shower and shave."

"Fuck off, Edd." Peter said as he put his hands on his face, "everyone else seems to have."

"Peter, we've been friend since we were fifteen, that's a damn decade, I'm not just going to walk out on you. Add to the fact that you have no one else to hang out with right now and I need some advice. Your stuck with me buddy."

Peter looked at the Asgardian hybrid and slowly grinned. "You were always there for me when I needed it you know?"

"I know Pete," Edd said as he was handed his mug. "Been through hell together, pretty sure we're going to stay like that til you die."

"Til I die?" Peter asked, slightly offended.

Edd rolled his eyes and pointed at himself. "Asgardian lifespan, remember?"

Peter, who's still a little buzzed over how much he's drunk, immediately remembered that. "Ohhh yeah, forgot you're going to outlive me."

"I'll be training all the future Spider-Men in your honor," Edd whispered before giving a hardy laugh at Peter's reaction.

"What about the future Stormwolves," Peter asked, which quieted Edd down.

Edd sighed. "I don't know about kids for my own... I just want to be sure I'm ready to accept responsibility before I start a family."

"So what advice are you needing," Peter asked after a few minutes of silence.

"I need some advice when it comes to this," Edd said, with a more serious expression as he sat a case on the bar top.

Peter stared at it wide-eyed. "You're finally going to do it, after two years of having that thing in your pocket and four years of being with her?"

"I feel like it's time, Pete," Edd said in pure honesty. "Last time I went with my father... I almost died. Laura doesn't know, but I want to ask before I go away again, because I know for a fact my dad isn't going to die anytime soon and I will have to bail him out a lot more times in the future. I just, I just don't want to be to late."

Peter took the words of his best friend and put it to thought. "Have you talked to Logan about this," the webhead asked, hoping his friend did so he didn't have to hold Logan back.

"Aye, and he gave me his blessing," Edd answered and smirked at the reaction Peter got, "I know, I was just as shocked."

"Do you love her," Peter asked.

Edd smiled. "You know I do, Pete."

"Then let's go," Peter said as he stood up and almost fell over if Edd didn't catch him. Though the Asgardian/Lycanthrope hybrid did have a confused look on his face. "Where we going?"

"I'm going to get cleaned up, and then we are going to the mansion so you can finally pop the question. I've been waiting for to long for you to grow a pair and ask, and now it's time. No chance in hell am I missing that." Peter explained.

Edd chuckled as he saw a bit of his best friend's old self come back. "Alright webhead, let's get out of here."

About two hours later, Edd and a now cleaned up Peter were pulling into the X-Mansion in Edd truck. "You sure you're ready to do this," Peter asked. "This is the last time I'm giving you the pass to bail."

Edd rolled his eyes, amused with his friend. "Look, Pete, I've never been sure of anything more in my life... so I'm going to tell you again, yes I am sure."

Peter nodded as the two exited the vehicle and walked up to the door of the mansion. He then was about to reach the door when someone opened it. That some one being Logan.

"Hey webhead, wolfbrain," Logan greeted with his gruffed up voice.

Peter was the first to greet him. "Sup, Logan, How ya doin'."

Peter then saw Edd staying silent and elbowed him in the ribs. "Hey Logan, is Laura's home?" Edd asked, hoping he didn't have to have another talk with Logan about it.

Logan gave a small smirk. "Finally going to ask?"

"I know right," Peter commented. "I've been waiting forever dude."

"Yeah, just wondering if she's home, so I can talk to her." Edd started.

"Last she told me, she was hanging out with a friend," Logan said, "she'll be back soon, bub."

"I can wait," Edd said. Thirty minutes later, the three were in the living room, with Peter and Logan catching up, as both had been out of the loop for a while. As they were talking, Edd's senses caught something peculiar.

"The hell," Edd said as his hearing caught hard breathing and moaning while he could smell both sweat and sexual fluids, both male and female, coming from upstairs.

Both Logan and Peter saw Edd's expression and looked concern. "You okay?" Peter asked.

"Some-something I got to check." Edd said as he headed straight for the stairs. He walked straight up them, and then froze on the top, sensing the sounds and smells coming from the direction he was hoping it not to be from. He then walked down the hall, his steps slowing and his hope fading as he walked closer to the door.

Peter walked up the stairs to see Edd looking at the door. He walked up to his friend, thinking he was thinking about bailing, only to now start hearing the noises coming from the room. "What the hell," Peter commented as he was starting to get an idea why Edd was frozen at the door.

"I-I don't understand," Edd said as he looked at the door, "I thought she was happy. All my senses said she was... bu-but I can hear them in there, I can smell them, and I want to puke my guts out right now."

"Well, you can at least see who we're pummeling to a pulp later, or should I say me saving from being beaten to a pulp later." Peter said as Edd began to reach for the handle with shaky hands.

As he cracked the door, he wished he could unsee what was happening. Laura was in there alright, and having sex with Robbie Reyes of all people. Sure, he knew the two had a history, but seriously... What. The. Fuck.

He wasn't going to put up with this, so he took the case with the ring inside, crushed it in his hand, and just threw it in the room, not caring where it went. He then slammed the door. Edd slammed the door so hard that it broke, scaring the occupants inside.

Not that he cared as Edd stormed his way downstairs, Peter right behind him, his eyes glowing a lot more wolf-like.

Minutes later

"How could've I been so stupid!?" Edd, now as a he was now a a towering 8'11" compared to his normal 6'5". He is now covered black fur all over his body, with it being all rough and shaggy. On his fur coat, two sections, one on each upper arm, turned dark blue in the shape of a lightning bolt. His head was now reshaped into that of a wolf's, with large teeth showing in a terrifying snarl. His whole body gained in muscle mass and claws came out of his fingers, claws that made a grizzly bear look tame. The most dangerous thing about his look was his eyes, they were no longer pure gold, as they now had electric blue mixed in.

He was now as Stormwolf, and for the past thirty minutes, he's been beating drone after drone that was sent out at him. As soon as he made his way down the stairs immediately locked himself in the X-Men training room, doing his best not to hurt anyone or break anything on his way to the room. Lightning was literally spewing all over him because of how angry he was.

Peter just stood outside and watched through the glass. He had already told the X-Men that Edd was in the training room, and only told a select few why. Edd was just trying to cheer him up, and now, now he's went full rapid wolf.

Not that he blamed him whatsoever.

"How bad is he?" Peter turned and saw Logan walking up to stand right next to him as they watched the werewolf in the other room destroy everything in his path.

"He's still pissed. Did you know that Laura and Robbie..." Peter began to asked.

"This ain't the first time she's done it with Robbie while she's been with Edd," Logan admitted. "Though, the time I caught her, she said she'd never do it again after we talked."

"Well, she can have Robbie full time now," Peter said as they watched Edd literally bite a drone in half. "Edd will probably maul her next time they see each other."

Logan then smirked. "So I'm guessing it was Edd who broke her door?"

"Yeah, do you blame him?"

"No. The boy has had it as rough as me or you, and well, I thought he deserved some happiness, guess Laura didn't agree," Logan said before he then said out loud. "Isn't that right Laura?"

Behind them was the young woman herself. She looked at through the glass wide-eyed as she saw her 'boyfriend' tearing everything in sight in the training room. "Why is Edd tearing everything up without me, again?" She asked as she went for the door into the training room, only for webbing to stop her.

"Wouldn't do that if I was you, Laura," Logan said as he saw that Edd had stopped moving, and he was sniffing the air. He knew she was there, and now he was looking right at the glass.

Laura looked at Logan confused before turning to Peter for an explanation, but he didn't seem to want to talk either. "What's he talking about, Peter?"

"I'm not talking," Peter said, "I'm only warning you, if Edd sees you right now, this glass isn't going to hold him back... and neither will I."

"What are you talking about?" Laura asked, now getting angry. Why would Edd want to attack her? Unless...

Logan answered. "He saw you, kid. He knows."

"About what," Laura asked, now getting nervous.

Peter then got mad at her playing dumb. "For the love of god, about you cheating on him with Robbie, damn it!"

That got Edd's attention as he turned to the glass and slammed into the side, he wasn't even walking upright either. Right now, he was letting his Wolf side have free reign. Then he heard Peter's voice raise and he turned and saw her.

Laura looked at Peter, who was clearly pissed that she cheated on his best friend, and the she turned to Edd, who looked utterly betrayed and ready to ram through the glass and maul her. "I suggest you get out of his sight," Logan suggested. "You've already done enough."

With tears streaming down her eyes, something that hardly never happened to Laura, the younger mutant left the room. "I'm going to check and make sure she doesn't gut someone," Logan said as he went after his clone/daughter.

Peter turned and saw Edd now stood there, back in his normal self as he stared at the ground.

Deciding to risk it, Peter walked in. "Uh hey... Edd, you doing better?"

Edd remained quiet and unmoving.

"Come on man, talk to me," Peter urged.

"Was this what you felt like?" Edd asked after a moment.

Peter tilted his head. "What do you mean?"

"When Mary Jane... called it off for someone else... was this what it felt?" Edd asked.

Peter was quiet for a moment before answering. "Well, minus the destructive reaction... then yeah."

"It sucks," Edd said told him.

Peter nodded. "I know. Soooo, what do you say we get out of here and go back to the bar. You could use a drink, Edd."

Edd stood there for a moment. Pissed and trying to come to terms with what has happened to him when a small smile appeared on his face. If she was gonna cheat, the bitch ain't worth it. So might as well not think about her. "Back to the bar," Edd said as he patted Peter's shoulder as the two friends walked out of the wreck of a training room, back down the hallway and up the stairs.

They were just about to go out the door when they saw what was going on the news in the living room of the mansion. Peter was the only one to think of something to say. "Oh. My. God."

Yeah, Edd got cheated on. Damn, he had an engagement ring and everything, and he and Peter almost walk in on her doing it with Robbie of all people... ain't that depressing. He then teared the training room in the X-Mansion up. Peter and Logan were wise to keep Laura away, she probably would have walked into the living embodiment of hell. Now we got two friends about to go to the bar and get drunk... until they see what's on the television, which won't be unveiled until next chapter. Which will be enjoyable to read by the way. Also, I wouldn't mind hearing any pairing suggestions for both Edd and Peter for this story, I can't seem to make up my mind.
