One action can start a chain reaction.
The morning rays cast a glow over her semi naked body as she stretches out her limbs. Reaching over, she expects to be met with the warmth of her husband, they are off today after all and since they're in quarantine he can't go surfing much less any place else.
Throwing her feet over the side of the bed, she smiles when she picks up her phone sending off a quick mass text and shuts it off making sure that there's no interruptions for them today. A chill runs through her body as her feet hit the cold wood floor, but socks will have to wait because her need for coffee, her husband's coffee to be exact, is calling her name.
The fact that he's on all fours wearing just his briefs while wiping the floor tells her it's going to be more than a good day. "Mmmm, good morning indeed."
Deeks looks her up and down appreciative of her bare legs and his old LAPD t-shirt that barely covers her lace panties. "I waxed the floors, go grab your fluffy socks."
"You're the boss." She can feel his eyes on her ass as she turns around and just because she can, she pops her hip out sashaying back down the hall towards their bedroom.
At the sight of his wife's very mesmerizing retreat, Deeks lifts up one of his hands and then the other giving himself a high five. "Marty Deeks, you are one lucky bastard."
His feet come out from under him, bringing him to the ground, but that doesn't stop him as he begins scooting across on the floor and doesn't stop as he kicks her legs out from under her like a bowling pin.
The sight of his semi naked body sliding across the floor sends her into a fit of laughter so much so that she doesn't register herself falling until she's lying on top of his legs. Her laughter dies down a little but she's still giggling at the feel of his arms wrapping around her body, pulling her in closer as he pepper kisses on her head apologizing profusely. "I'm sorry."
His cerulean blues take in her form as she relaxes into his hold, and just stares at the ceiling with a dreamy look across her face. Running his fingers through her hair, he begins massaging her scalp, her answering moan bringing a smile to his face.
There's a beat of silence as he gather's his thoughts and what today means to them. His mind goes to the first time he laid eyes on the beautiful woman that became the love of his life. Specific memories of them and conversations they had continue to play out before him before they went all in, one standing out to him in particular.
He looks down at her, locking his eyes with chocolate pools of wonder. "Are you a sadist?"
"What? Why would you ask me that?"
"Well if I remember correctly you said being married to me and I quote, 'Would be so much more like a punishment than a reward.'"
She can't hold back the smile that graces her face when a conversation they had early on in their partnership comes back to her. Sitting up, she turns to face her husband and climbs into his lap straddling his hips.
He lets out an appreciative groan as she threads her fingers through his hair and wiggles her pantie clad heat over his brief covered heat.
"What can I say, I was wrong." She leans forward smiling as her soft lips touch his.
"Can you believe it's been a decade?"
"3,653 days."
"Oh, so you've been keeping count, huh?" He raises his eyebrows in question, but on the inside his heart is beating a million miles a minute just knowing that she knows exactly how many days they've known each other.
"It's kinda hard not remember the best day of your life."
"Hey, what about our wedding?!"
"Think about it, babe. If we hadn't've met there wouldn't have been a wedding."
He shakes his head, that thought not even in the realm of possibilities in his mind. "Nope. Not gonna think about that."
She places her forehead to his, getting lost in the feel of his fluffy hair running through her fingers and his baby blues staring back at her with a steadfast love that melts her heart every time. "I love you."
His fingertips trail down her spine leaving a tingling path of warmth in their quake. "I love you more." He places another kiss to her lips before pulling back, his eyes wide in shock. "Oh."
"What?"
"I just remembered something."
"What?"
"I never asked you out on a date."
She bites her lip, trying not to laugh at the ridiculously accurate statement her love just made. "That anniversary's not until November, babe."
"That's not the only anniversary that day." This time it's his turn to tease her as he thrust his hips upward.
The moan that leaves her lips is all he needs to hear before he's pulling her shirt off and haphazardly tossing across the room. "Mmmm….tacos."
