Alrain: Time travel story!

Chapter 1: Start Again.

Camp Demi-God.

'How could have this happened,' asked 36-year-old Leo Samuel Valdez himself as he looked from a hill down at a small destroyed city that used to be Camp Demi-God, houses and buildings burned down to nothing but ruins, rubble lying everywhere from the walls that were hardly near recognizable, there were a thousand and one things destroyed but the sight of so many corpses was the one that made Leo sick.

He genuinely thought he would get used to it but seeing dead bodies of the very comrades you have fought years side by side made him remember, only the ones who don't have bonds or friends can get used to it and he wasn't one of those people. He didn't feel like moving and sat down and kicked the knee of a dead cyclops corpse and how it didn't turn into gold dust was already know to Leo, the monster simply didn't have to respawn the cyclops as Gaea controlled Tartarus and probably didn't feel like respawning a mere cyclops as she had plenty of those at disposal.

To quickly summarize things the fight has never stopped and forced both Greek and Roman camps to work together as Gaea had plenty of tricks to back up her plans, and that included how she was able to get her power far faster back, it ended up in a 20 year-long war with neither side holding back but slowly the Heroes and the Gods were on the losing side as the endless streaming armies of Gaea that acted like nothing but wild animals continued on. Too fast for them to handle them and just too many of them even with their power increase of everything, Gaea simply won with sheer numbers as they did the work for her as she waited and watched it all as she had the winning hand with none of them being able to take it away from her.

Leo who wasn't there at the Camp as he had been sent to a Long-Term mission that wouldn't guarantee that he would be coming back alive, this was considered normal for those who went to search for more information on Gaea's plans and outposts. Just when he came back alive while fighting through hell to only come back to see the place he had finally could call home was destroyed, there had been fought very heavily as there were many corpses of Demi-Gods as monsters who didn't dissolve.

He didn't walk down knowing his heart and mind that was not very stable nor strong enough at the moment to handle all the death, he fell onto his knees instead and let the tears stream down like a river over his cheeks, he didn't make the slightest sound as he cried as he finally gave in to the sadness he stored away. Everyone he cared about was now dead and with him being unable to fight alongside them, not even that was granted to him and then laughter was heard as it rang through his ears.

"I told you, Valdez, that I would break down your spirit," the moment Leo heard that voice anger overtook his sorrow and slowly looked up his eyes shining red and slit-like that of a cat, fire leaked out of his eye-sockets as his eyes took in the figure of a beautiful woman that would've stunned anyone with her beauty. But Leo perfectly knew who it was and the beauty didn't affect him in the slightest bit, it was Gaea smiling down on him as she had materialized herself in her own form at human-size. Leo knew above all that the power of Gaea was similar to that of those Marvel and DC comics and now that the total earth was under her control, getting up he held his palm out and a big swirling tornado of fire that engulfed Gaea and reached past the clouds were shot out, white-hot flames turned into blue, then it turned into black fire and continued on for a few minutes before stopping.

He showed no signs of being tired as his Pyrokinesis was trained to be that strong at that level to be used to destroy armies of monsters from Gaea's forces.

When the flames had died down Gaea showed to be not affected in the slightest bit and merely smirked at Leo making him growl that his flames didn't do anything, those flames were strong enough to launch back Cyclopses and even giant several feet back and through giant boulders or slam against a mountain. Yet it only burned a bit of her hair off showing how truly powerful she was, but in his defense, he wasn't even at full strength yet as he was hungry, thirsty, and tired from the lack of sleep.

"That tickled, Valdez, so those were the black flames that destroy the essence of Echidna's and Typhoon's children at contact...I never had thought that the Fates were true about you being my bane...turns out they were right as usual," whispered Gaea but no longer in a sleepy tone as her tone was now changed into that of a clearly awake individual and before Leo could attack again even knowing that it wouldn't do anything against the Primordial, Gaea was too fast and grabbed him by his throat and lifted him up and stared into his eyes. "You have been plenty of times become a nuisance to me...I was impressed when you managed to formulate so many plans, built so many ships, and even train yourself to be strong enough to hold your own against a Giant or 2 easily by yourself,"

"Anything to annoy the hell out of you!" snarled Leo making Gaea smirk instead of glare at him as he showed his anger for the 1st time in years, it meant to her that she had done it and was breaking his spirit down seeing that he wasn't surrendering to the horrors he had seen.

"All of this that you and the Propheced 7 built, achieved, and won was all for nothing but naught and delaying the inevitable. I have won and you can't do anything about it as only you remain standing amongst them all, so sad that the 7th Wheel remained the last one functioning," laughed the Primordial and snapped her fingers with her other hand and the effect was instantaneous as hundreds of monsters appeared around them, each monster looked at Leo like he was a piece of rare meat for them to eat which he was as a Demi-God is a piece of food to monsters and nothing else sans for exceptions like Tyson. Gaea smirked at Leo before looking disappointed that Leo showed no reaction at the monsters even if they gave him the idea of what would happen to him, they would eat him alive and Leo was not in the slightest bit scared having lost the ability to ever fear for his life.

"So, you only spawned more ugly monsters at a greater scale, is that supposed to scare me?" asked Leo challengingly even if he knew it was nothing but dumb to do this, he had lost and only death awaited him so if he died then annoying Gaea was totally worth it in his books. And besides that, he had faced armies this size plenty of times and destroyed them plenty of times on his own, so a mere bigger monster army didn't phase him in the slightest bit as it only meant more to kill for him.

"Well, I must say that I am quite disappointed since that gift of Hephaestus...but I do have something else to do besides your mother as I have also done something to your father as well," smirked Gaea and that piqued curiosity in Leo who wondered what she meant by that she had something to do with his father, his father would never work for Gaea as he was too loyal for that to his children and his father would say that it was stepping to the lowest point. "Fates told me something about your father Hephaestus because of his name I feared him the most, the one who's name has no meaning which can mean he would've been an entirely different God so I had just to make sure Hera stayed all the time angry,"

Gaea held her hand out to make space for Leo and let him go at the same time and was immediately restrained by 2 monsters who forced Leo down on his knees, though Leo could easily get himself free Gaea held him in place about her telling that she had something to do with the birth of his father.

"Humans are far smarter than I ever thought them to be but never did I expect those who write those so-called comics to be that smart, when I felt Hephaestus his birth I interfered and I succeeded in preventing him from gaining his true strength, of all the Gods of Olympus his name has no meaning so he could've been anything," continued Gaea and Leo was enwrapped in the story as his thoughts were racing with thinking speed that made ADHD nothing but a nuisance. Gaea told him that his father was never meant to be crippled from birth and purposely kept Hera angry, he knew the saying that if you did something out of hate or anger only ugliness would be born from it. "I kept Hera angry and that Ugliness of his was an effect of his so-called mother's rage seething onto his skin, he could've removed it but fortunately for me, he inherited his mother's temper so he never had tried to thinking that the title of a God would help him,"

"What did you do to my dad!?" demanded Leo angrily as the heat spiked up making the 2 monsters let go of him as his body temperature was too hot for them to hold him down.

"Hm~! I interfered with his birth as I threatened the fates to tell me what God he was going to become, your father was going to become the God of Fire and the...Stars making him exceptionally powerful!" laughed Gaea and all Leo wanted to do was rip that smug expression off her face that was no longer made of dirt, he just wanted to beat Gaea into a pulp as she revealed that she changed his father's fate and made him suffer underneath the Gods. "Well, I couldn't fully prevent him from getting his strength as I only removed the strongest parts...I couldn't take the power away from him as he was just too aware that I was an enemy, Fates were wrong that when I interfered with his birth that he would become my bane,"

'...Dad, if you just could hear this that you were never meant to be ugly!' Leo wished his father was here but he was gone but not faded but probably suffering in Tartarus, and now hearing his dad was actually the 1st bane of Gaea also surprised him a lot that his father had such an important role in his life.

His father Hephaestus the kind God was interfered with his birth and stripped off the life he was supposed to lead, he would've not have suffered at all nor did he have to be so humiliated by every other one of the Olympian Gods.

"Both you and your father were the biggest dangers I would have to face and even being crippled he had the most potential to become stronger, the God that can go beyond himself if just a bit of wisdom was given to him. I have seen some things thanks to the help of my son Kronos and...I must say I don't regret using a lot of my power to interfere with his birth otherwise I would've attacked way earlier," cackled Gaea and Leo was growling and killed the 2 monsters restraining him and engulfed himself in flames and erupted the fire around him in a wave burning down many monsters to their horrible and painful death, Leo cocked his fist back covered in flames and electricity crackling and punched the face of Gaea, the connection caused an explosion and launched any nearby monster around him back several feet dead into the monster army. Not only angry at her for killing his mom as he had figured the truth out but also ruining his father's life as well as killing all his friends, his family, his lovers, and thousands of innocents.

"...That's all you got? I have felt that and I must say if your father remained the same then you would've been way stronger...but I haven't done that only as I also did the same with some other Gods and other beings, tricking Pandora to open the box, trapping the Primordial Elpis, and making sure that Zeus would be a lot more like his father," continued Gaea undisturbed by the attack of Leo that got only all the monsters surrounding him and Gaea to back down, the monsters who were too close were dead from the mere shockwave that came from Leo's fist connecting to the face of Gaea.

"...What will you do now," asked Leo looking the Primordial in the eyes who blinked in confusion.

"What do you mean...Valdez,"

"What will you do now that you have conquered everything and killed all, I thought you helped Zeus and other Gods to help your grandchildren outside of your son's stomach...you got mad at them for imprisoning the Titans that were just as cruel as your former husband and son," said Leo summarizing the history of Gaea who listened to him and her fist tightened up causing quite the actions, the earth rumbled and was shaking indicating her great anger as Leo continued but not to anger her but pointing facts out.

"Silence, Valdez!"

"I truly don't understand you how you got mad at the Gods for only imprisoning the cruel titans that were just as cruel as Kronos and Ouranos," it confused Leo how she got angry at the Gods for only imprisoning the Bad Titans while Prometheus wasn't a bad one, he thought about it and wondered why she was ever angry about her children who had become just as cruel as Kronos and Ouranos. He could definitely see only Zeus being just as cruel as them as if he was always panicking about losing his throne, becoming more of a Tyrant just like his father and grandfather reason why the dethroning of him happened. "What will you do now? Your kind children would definitely be horrified at the actions you hated that were performed by your Husband and Son, so my question came from that all of what you would gain from winning this war,"

Gaea was pissed off and all the monsters sensed it and backed down or some just straight-up ran away from her, while others were frozen to their place as fear had overridden their eagerness about the fact that they got to eat Leo, most of them recognized Leo and how he had killed them all in a single move and those defeats they suffered by his hands.

"Keep your mouth shut!"

"I don't see any reason to obey that request but I think you can answer my question...what will you do now?" asked Leo not tauntingly as spending time while gloating over her victory with no one else to talk beside her titans was boring to Leo, but he knew that humans and Demigods shouldn't try to understand their point knowing they wouldn't learn a lot from it.

Primordials, Titans, and Gods are just born that way and raised like that.

"SHUT UP!" roared Gaea causing an Earthquake around the whole world causing all the monsters to stumble or simply fall over and spikes made of earth erupted from the ground and killed many monsters and many surrounded Leo with just a single millimeter away from stabbing him. But Leo wasn't fazed as he simply looked at the spikes and back at Gaea, he didn't need the answer knowing he would never agree with her point of view as he lived his life as a human and wouldn't want to change it.

Gaea was mad because she wanted to see Leo scared, angry, broken and anything negative but she knew the 1st thing was impossible to get out of him, but the 3rd one was but it had only been a brief moment and now Leo was to his usual self and she knew what he had done that altered his appearance. Lifting him up with her hand Leo didn't even attempt to fight anymore, he knew he was just too weak to even fight her nor was his Pyrokinesis useful as she had shown she wasn't affected by it. If he had a bit more time then he could've become stronger not that he had ever gotten the oppertunity to train, living on the streets didn't grant him a lot but other skills that were necessary for survival as Leo had to deal with gangs and monsters alike.

'It seems the end of my line is here,' thought Leo knowing that death was coming even with his father's new blessing he would die and simply kept his eyes open looking at Gaea, well, if he was going to die then he would do something that would have annoyed many easily. He smiled in a mischievous way which he hasn't done in a very long time, and it worked in annoying Gaea and she brought down her fist that would flatten him like a pancake.

But a bright light erupted the moment when the Primordial of the Earth was about to squash him.

"FATHER! NO!"

Void.

"Grrk!" groaned Leo in pain as he felt like a thousand fishhooks made of heated Celestial Bronze had sunk themselves in his skin and were tugging on him and burning him, and burning him was impossible as his father's Pyrokinesis gift prevented him from getting burned. He felt his body pulled apart slowly even with the gift of his father that made his skin as hard and strong as the Divine Metals of Olympus, yet it was doing nothing but make him suffer longer and now the feeling became even worse like he felt being turned into a liquid.

"Oh! I apologize for my recklessness!" came a voice but Leo could hardly react to it as the pain was distracting him but he did hear a snap and the pain died down. "I should've remembered that in my domain not even Titans or Gods can last a second...I must say you impressed me, Leo Valdez,"

Leo coughed and shuddered at the same time as feeling getting turned into liquid was not a pleasant feeling as it felt cold and weird, he looked up and saw around him stars and the vacuum of space, a miniature planetary of all the planets were the Gods of Olympus Roman counterparts names came from except for his father.

"Leo Valdez!"

Leo gulped and he felt nervous as the voice was like made of authority and it sounded way older than when he heard the voice of Kronos, and he was one hard nut to crack as he was hardly fazed by sizes of the Titans in the war, the voice sounded divine and he heard it everywhere and the presence felt all the more powerful than that of Gaea who referred him as...father.

"Does this mean..."

"Correct Leo Samuel Valdez, I am who you think as I am the Chaos where everything has begun and created from!" came the voice and it was making Leo nervous which wasn't surprising at all.

He was dealing with the father of Gaea and the one that created everything from the very beginning, the one who is everywhere at the same time without having to ever try as all that lived was within him. Stronger than all the Gods combined, a force that can't be challenged nor be taken lightly with and easily make Gaea look like child's play, he wasn't that easy to be impressed anymore after the first few months of war itself, he had powers that would baffle the Demigods and the Gods themselves of how he had gotten that strong.

"Back on the matter Leo Valdez, fate was never supposed to go like this as you were the one to end the reign and looming threat of my daughter, so I will send you back to prepare the Prophecies," said Chaos and Leo got up and looked at Chaos who didn't have much of a form as only 2 eyes were shown but barely seen, and it wasn't like he had any pupils as the Chaos only appeared as eyes but barely faint outlines and the pupils simply the space background. Not that it didn't make any sense to Leo knowing that the Chaos is everything and can assume any form without any resistance, Primordials nor Gods would stand a chance against it in any way and Leo who felt anger welling up in him again calmed down.

"Lord Chaos or whatever name you would like to be called with, I know I am being exceptionally rude to you but...why didn't you interfere earlier," Leo wanted to know why the most powerful being that was all just waited until the end when the Camp was destroyed and nothing was left, just why didn't the chaos interfere earlier as he can control space and time and with the former not even be able to be controlled by Kronos.

"I apologize...but I can't show favoritism and must let the others know if they ever found out about it why I granted you this chance," replied Chaos back to Leo who honestly didn't expect an apology from the most powerful being having met less powerful beings who were annoyingly too prideful, but what did he mean by the others about finding out and showing favoritism...wait, he or she didn't mean that there were others besides...her?

Chaos seemed to have noticed but he was all so he had Leo's thought floating through him.

"Yes, you don't think Gaea was the only one spawned from me? I am all and my body is all and the vacuum of space of what humans know is limited, there are others besides Gaea but fret not as they are too far away to ever reach earth, even if they're Primordials as you humans call them they can't easily leave their domain either," answered Chaos revealing he had more children besides Gaea and Leo felt fear actually coming back for a second before Chaos told him that it would be a very long time if they wanted to try and find earth, nor if they had any desire to do so and set for the stars though he didn't know how the other Primordials would react nor how their powers worked.

Humans feared things they don't know about or can't explain it with the likes of science.

"I see, I can understand that...can I ask 2 more things about my father and something else?" asked Leo and a grunt was heard giving him the message that Chaos would answer him as he doubted all could be sick. "Did Gaea truly mean it? Has she made my father ugly and cripple which he was never meant to be?"

"Yes, if she hadn't interfered then Earth would've progressed faster and your friend Percy Jackson...I see almost all the roads lead by him, the multiverse as you humans call it right? It shows the people different timelines if things were slightly altered and what he did was very impressive, but do know that I am all and I know of other beings," answered Chaos and Leo nodded that his father was never meant to be a cripple but it made him sad he couldn't change it, he had his theories but never acted on them not granted to do them as they were timeconsuming.

"So dad is still fated to be like that..." muttered Leo but not in a sad tone.

But the fact that Chaos revealed to him that there was a multiverse didn't shock him in the slightest bit at all, the world as he knew now was like a Madmax Terrain, he had seen waves of monsters, designs which were only used in comics become reality, reality manipulated, Gods existing, and so much more and there was one more thing.

He pitied Percy a lot now as Chaos revealed to him that he was like the Destined MC even in another dimension meaning that he would've have suffered a worse life, a better life, or downright horrifying which he had experienced how life can be very cruel.

But one question remained in his head.

"And...why did you choose me? If Percy is the one that leads all his timelines so well...then why didn't you choose him?" asked Leo who could easily see the reason if Chaos chose Percy to go back in time as he was a son of one of the Big Three. Leo wasn't that much of a powerful Demigod as his father had no historical achievements about combat, just creating things nut he knew his father never liked conflict even if he built weapons most of the time.

"Leo Samuel Valdez...your new fatal weakness if how humble you are and sometimes it isn't just power that can prevail all, many factors are needed as they exist to support one and each other and above all a Spirit that remained strong. When Percy Jackson and Annabeth Chase fell into Tartarus they both would never have survived it individually and had to have each other to remain strong, you on the other hand always remained strong even when all was kept taken away from you," Chaos blinked and Leo gasped as memories of his horrible past came back up of all that had been taken away from him, ranging from his mom who was killed by Gaea, his foster brothers and sisters abused and killed or downright left the foster home, and after through many painful memories, the horrible things he had been forced to do, and the last memories of him attacking Gaea even after the Camp was destroyed.

"I have looked into a timeline where you chose to seal the doors of death and you survived it on your own...and I have seen some timelines where Perseus Jackson suffered a lot and I do not want him to suffer again, he fell into despair and became sometimes the nightmare he feared to become," Chaos expected Leo to be mad but to the Primordials surprise, Leo merely nodded with no anger in his eyes, not even the slightest bit knowing a lot about Percy the last 20 years.

Percy had a lot to do...his fatal weakness made him extra hurt when he lost friends and was just too new to it, he had it all in the end but then immediately taken away...while Leo had nothing in the beginning and had things kept taken away from him making him too used to it and making him strong through spirit. It made him take everything from loss way better than Percy who had rarely lost anyone precious to him after saving them, he guessed it would've been too much for Percy to even handle it all.

And now that he thought deeper about it he frowned knowing that Percy's trauma would probably drive him a bit insane to think he can save all his beloved ones, his loyalty was that big of a weakness that made him refuse to allow anyone to die and that could hinder his mission if this was bestowed on him. He wasn't exactly good at hiding things as he was simply a horrible liar and not exactly subtle, he was a bit dense and slow at catching things, and some other factors.

He would've died if he were given this task.

The reason why Percy was never a leader nor did he hold a rank where lives were in his palm, it was agreed upon that he was never going to get one as Annabeth gave them plenty of info based on personal experience that he was very stubborn like Poseidon and so was his mother. If a mission or a Quest which they weren't called anymore was given it was always 50/50 and never any change on both sides, that didn't mean he wasn't a good leader as he had a good charisma but he had a lot of friends and thinking you can save them all was just ridiculous.

He would've been probably been figured out as he isn't good at hiding emotions while he, in contrast, was an expert in it as he had done it years which had been an essential tool for him to survive when he was left alone at the age of 8, the life he had led was a horrible one that he never told anyone until the war as some needed therapy to recover from some fights.

"So...you will send me back to the past?" asked Leo.

"Yes, you will do everything in your power to save as many as you can, but you are not allowed to tell anyone about me and I can only help you in small ways. And I think you will like the task I give you besides your planning to make every one of your friends stronger," said Chaos in a tone that sounded like...cheekiness?

"What would that be?" asked Leo.

"The Grand Quest to restore your Father, Hephaestus's original power, and I will give you a guide on how to do it!" said Chaos.

"Then what are we waiting for! Send me back!" shouted Leo standing up ignoring the old wounds, but Chaos blinked and the injuries were gone making Leo relax a little bit in his posture. He may have an incredible pain tolerance or what others called it extreme pain tolerance but the feeling of his body cut up felt uncomfortable to him.

"...Are you sure? You may no longer suffer from your ADHD but you do suffer what you humans call PTSD," said Chaos a bit unsure having seen Leo being tortured when he went on his solo-mission that was assured to have the death only awaiting him.

"I can't rest here as the risk of the other Primordials feeling this is just too great...and leaving the PTSD in me will keep me motived to keep going beyond myself!" said Leo confirming his decision and Chaos grunted and his laughter boomed a bit.

"You are really interesting, Leo Valdez, it will be handled as I will send you back in a younger body with your current strength!" said Chaos and before Leo could protest at that the place became blinding white again as Leo felt that he was pulled out of there.

He still had one question he forgot asking and wondered how his dad would look like if he wasn't given his ugliness, would he see Annabeth and Percy playfully bickering with each other instead of real fights and arguments between the 2, would he see Travis smile again and not act like Nico, how would Nico be like if he changed his views, would he see Jason and Piper again, did that include Frank, Hazel, Connor, and...her?

Alrain: Leo is my favorite character and he has quite some wasted potential and be warned as Leo is going to be like some teacher, it won't be only him being strong but training Percy and all the others to get strong too. Expect him to be quite an OP but most of his enemies are very strong so he must be OP, and I know I don't like OP people but I will make him face tough challenges, he won't be only training them to get stronger but make them mentally grow up.
