Okaa-san Tea Time

Author's Note: Since Fanfiction doesn't allow 3 crossovers, I might as well do this. Plus that, it's just an experiment for my take on Mamako. So, please enjoy.

It's a pleasant day here at the Minase household. Nayuki is at school right now, Akiko has done most of the chores around the house, so to kill some time, she called in a good friend of hers and makes some tea while waiting. They have known each other for quite some time before their children were born. But due to the fact that her dear friend, Mamako Oosuki, had to move away, Akiko was all alone again and had to take care of Nayuki for the time being. But now Mamako has returned and gave Akiko a message that she'll be staying for a while. Knowing this, the Minase elder picked the perfect time for them to sit down and chat.

Once the clock hits 1:00 p.m, the doorbell rings and Akiko answers it. Mamako appears before her, dressed in a pretty white dress. Her appearance hasn't changed a bit as age has been kind to her the same as Akiko's. Medium length brown hair and pretty blue eyes.

"Mamako-san~" Akiko says, her soft and gentle voice so soothing to everyone's ears. "Come in, come in~"

"Thanks for having me, Akiko-chan. Fufu~!" Mamako bows respectively and lets herself in. She looks around in awe. "Woooow! So this is your home. It looks lovely~!" Her upbeat voice fills the room as she walks toward the living room.

"Thanks, but it's not that great," Akiko replies as she closes the door and walks toward the kitchen. "Here, let me pour us some tea and sit on the couch, okay?"

"Alright!" The happy brunette plops down on the couch and hums to herself while waiting.

Akiko giggles to herself while pouring the tea. She then puts the cups on the tray and carries it toward the living room. She sits next to her friend to hand her one of the cups and take her own.

"Here you go," she says. "Hope you like it."

Mamako takes a sip and nods in approval. "Mmm! It's really good!"

"Fufu! Glad you like it~"

The two sip on their tea once more and put down their cups. "So…what's going on? We have a lot to catch up on," Akiko says.

"Weeeellll…" Mamako leans back, looking up at the ceiling. "I have a teenage son named Masato. I call him 'Ma-kun'. Fufufu! He's such a sweet boy! I want to give him all my love and care!"

Akiko giggles. "Seems like you love your son very much."

"Oh! How about you? Do you have a son too?" Mamako asks, turning toward the Minase mother.

"No, but I treat my nephew, Yuiichi-san like a son, though," Akiko answers with a finger held up. "I actually have a daughter, Nayuki. She's very athletic and sweet as well. She's on the track team and gets excellent grades."

Mamako clasps her hands together. "Ohhhh! That sounds wonderful! You raised her well!"

"Fufu! I'm sure you raised your loving son well, too," Akiko says. "Does he do well in school?"

"Yes, he sure does!" the brunette says. "I'm proud of my darling son! He's smart, brave and wants to do the best he can, even for me! And I will do the same for him!"

Akiko giggles again. "I do the exact same thing for my daughter. Possibly why we are so close. I'm glad you and your son are close too."

"Yeah," Mamako says as she drinks some more tea. "Sometimes he gets pretty annoyed with me, but I know deep down he still loves me." She gives a soft smile. "My life with my son has never changed."

"I'm sure it will last a lifetime, Mamako-san," Akiko gently puts her hand on hers.

The two fall silent again and drink more of their tea until their cups are empty. Akiko then breaks the ice once more.

"Anything else interesting that happened?" she asks.

"Hmmm…I've played a really awesome online game with Ma-kun about a month ago." Mamako replies. "It was like virtual reality though."

"Huh? What do you mean?"

"Oh~!" the brunette clasps her hands together. "See, you get transported inside a computer and play an RPG game with anyone you choose! I chose to go with Ma-kun when he decided to go alone. I didn't want him to be alone, so I went in and went on great adventures. We formed an awesome party, dealt with ridiculous events and creatures along the way and most of all, I got to spend time with my darling son."

Akiko pauses for a moment before her eyes begin to sparkle. Cue her going Chibi Mode along with Mamako. "I…I would like to go some time! With my own daughter! That sounds like a lot of fun!"

"Fufufu! Isn't it~?" Mamako agrees. "Yes, i will take you to A LOT of places! I'll inform Ma-kun about it too!"

"Excellent! I look forward to it!" Akiko replies excitedly, pumping both fists.

Returning to normal, the two mothers give lyrical giggles. They sigh and relax on the couch for 5 minutes. All they need is some peace and quiet for just a little bit after talking so much. For Akiko, it's nice to have company every once in a while. Since Ayu and Makoto left, it was just her and Nayuki. But now, she can have more company whenever she wants. so it was a good move on her part.

"Would you like some more tea, Mamako-san?" Akiko offers.

"Yes, I would love to have some~" Mamako replies, holding out her cup.
