A/N: This is going to be a fic mainly about a Female Roy and normal Ed pairing. Anyways...If there is any swearing, violence, or gore, I will let you know at the top of the chapter! Thanks for reading and I hope you enjoy!

Chapter 1:

The Colonel's Secret

He woke with a start in the morning, sitting straight up in bed. He was crying. He had just had the worst nightmare of his entire life so far. It pained him to think about it again, a life without Ed.

The Dream

Edward Elric walked into Mustang's office, wearing his usual black leather clothing and red coat.

And then he started talking to him. "Colonel! For the last time, I'm gonna go on that mission you told me about! It's not like I'll die or anything! He won't even know I'm there!"

"Ed, I said no! You'll be digging your own grave if you go on that mission!" The Colonel said in response.

"You're not my dad!! You can't tell me what to do!!" Ed screamed at him as he walked out the door, slamming it behind him. That was the last time the Colonel saw him alive.

Next second he was wearing black, standing by and watching as a coffin was lowered into a grave as the people surrounding him cried.

Then everything went pitch black.

He saw a face come out from beneath him,

A face that was all to familiar. "It's your fault you Bastard. It's your fault I'm dead. You could have stopped me!" Said a voice, rather loudly. "All your fault!"

End Dream

He knew that his thoughts would go back to that Dream all day long, and he wouldn't be able to focus on his paperwork. Great. Juuuust great. Hawkeye is gonna kill me today.

Then he saw the person in his room. It was in fact the golden boy that he had fallen for. He would know his secret if he took a single glance at him without his uniform. He would know that Colonel Mustang was in fact a woman.

"WHAT THE FUCK?!?!" Edward exclaimed, none too quietly. He had come to find the Colonel on orders from Riza, and nobody disobeyed those. The Colonel had been an hour late and needed to be found. He had come to find the Colonel, but he found a woman in his bed.

"WHO THE FUCK ARE YOU? ARE YOU MY COMMANDING OFFICER'S SISTER OR SOMETHING? YOU LOOK JUSt like him..." Ed's voice faded away as he realized what was going on here. His expression turned from rage to horror in an instant.

"Colonel, You're a woman aren't you?" Ed said, accepting the fact rather quickly, considering his first reaction to his true gender.

"Damn, your hot!" Edward said unconsciously. When he realized what he had said, he blushed and clamped a hand over his mouth, as if punishing it for saying such a thing to his CO.

Roy blushed too, at hearing his longtime subordinate and crush saying something like this to him.

They just waited for the other to talk in the moment of awkward silence. It was like a competition, loser has to speak first. Roy lost.

"Soooooooo...umm..I'm guessing you want to know my real name? After all, "Roy" isn't my full first name. Only part of it" She asked awkwardly.

"Uhhh...Sure." Edward responded.

Why does he always have to be hot when he says something?! She panicked in her mind.

"My real name is Roilyn. Nice to meet you again, Ed." She said to her crush, becoming even more of a tomato than she already was.

She held out her hand for Ed to shake and he took it.

"Please don't tell anybody about this okay? I have reasons why I keep my gender a secret." She told him, in a pleading way that Ed couldn't resist.

"Okay, I won't tell" he said softly, closing the distance between them, their lips inching closer. That's when Roilyn passed out.

A/N: So how do you like it so far? I've never tried to write a genderbender fic before, and thought it sounded like fun! Here, we'll pretty much see the side of Roy that he doesn't show, the side with feelings. Anyways, I hope you enjoy the series!
