AN: This past week with everything going on I actually got the chance to rewatch some anime, Akame ga kill being it. Looking through the fanfiction section of SAO x Akame ga Kill there was only one...looks like I'm here to change that!
Sword Art Online and Akame Ga Kill! Does not belong to me. With that being said please enjoy this story.
It's been a few months since the game he was suddenly thrown in. «Project Alicization». After the events things have been...normal. He wasn't «Kirito» anymore. He was just the regular highschool student, Kazuto. In those "Years'' he spent in the game, he has had his soul connected to a mysterious machine, cut down a tree in a different world, went to a sword academy, battled the ruler of the world, fell into a double coma...etc. It was kinda unbelievable don't you think?
It all happened on a device called the «Soul Translator»
The Soul Translator, also known as the STL was constructed for the purpose of being used as a method of creating a highly adaptive Artificial Intelligence to be used for the experiment Project Alicization. Just a few months ago Kazuto Kirigaya..better known as "Kirito" used this device.
Using this device he has lived for years, making friends, fighting battles, and tons of other things. The whole concept of it was confusing, something you couldn't really wrap your head around. But all those experiences had happened, even if it was virtual it was real.
These thoughts filled his head as he made his way to his part-time at RATH. Riding on his motorcycle to ride down to arrive there. He was supposed to be checking on the «Underworld» to see how things ended up after he left, since he promised he would come back from time to time when he had free time.
He had no time to really gather his thoughts, as much as he would like to. Because he was just now getting there. He had slowed down his bike (Motorcycle) and stopped, pulling off his helmet and grabbing the keys to it. He sighed and walked in.
Once walking in he would glance around a little, nothing too eye catching or important to look at. He works here, he's been here tons of times already so there wasn't really anything that was new. He had stumbled across Higa Takeru, who seemed to be expecting him. He was the researcher responsible for the development of the world's state-of-the-art VR machine. Looking at him from the outside, it would be hard to believe, as his hairstyle stuck out thinly like a pin holder, he wore big rounded glasses, and his T-shirt had a game character printed on it.
After some words were exchanged, Kazuto was led to the device. It was well the same as it always was really. Nothing has changed, it felt like years since he last saw the thing, but that was only due to the «Soul Translator's» accelerated time. Well it was now or never. the bed of the experimental machine. He laid his body to fit its recesses then slid my head inside the headgear. He gave Higa a thumbs up with his left thumb.
The sound of a motor could be heard in his ears as it started. At the same time, a low growl could be heard from the back of the machine. Suddenly everything had flashed and his consciousness now shut off, he was once again diving into the «Virtual World».
Kazuto had opened his eyes. He expected well...the usual setting of «Underworld» once he logged in. But..no. It was something completely different, he was on the ground. Currently all the boy could see was the sky. He appeared to be on a road of some kind...well not an actual road but the middle of a pathway surrounded by trees and other fantasy kinds of things.
This was definitely not «Underworld». There was no doubt in his mind. He used his hand to try and draw the stacia symbol but there was nothing, no line or light or stat menu screen with things like «object control authority» or «durability». There was nothing.
"If not that then.." He would mutter starting to try other things. He swiped his hand, even trying various commands, but none seemed to work actually. This was...strange. If he was in a game then something had to work...but nothing did.
He was stuck, again. But it was more complicated this time, he doesn't even know if this was a game or not. Multiple predictions popped in his head at that moment. This..couldn't be real life right? And this isn't «Virtual Reality» either. So...maybe this is similar to the silver crow situation?
Instead of getting sent to a game maybe he got sent to something else entirely, a new world. Like the "Isekai" Genre. But if that's the case then where is the legendary weapon and skills? Or is it like the hard work isekai, starting with nothing and at zero. Kazuto sighed, he wasn't sure what this one, no one had answers. This time no companion to tell him anything either.
He finally got out of his head, looking around at himself since he had not done that yet. He was wearing his casual clothing. In fact, it was the same type of clothes he had worn the moment he walked into «Rath» to log in the STL in the first place. That...was almost starting to confirm the theory that he, Kazuto Kirigaya was in a completely new world, his consciousness anyway. It was just a guess.
He looked beside him, nothing but road and dirt and dust. But there was something quite eye-catching, a longsword. It was just laying there on the ground ready to be picked up by anyone. It didn't really have any defining traits, it was just a regular silver longsword. Either way beggars can't be choosers. He had picked it up, he might need it sometime later on. With this new world or whatever it was anything could happen, better safe than sorry.
There was no use in staying here, he needed to move. Staying here won't help him gather information after all.
As Kazuto was walking down the road, sword in hand (he had nowhere to put it) he was just thinking. What if he got trapped in another world with no way out? Wouldn't that be impossible? Could the «Soul Translator» actually have the potential or technology to send people to alternate world's?
It was a question with no clues or answers too, even if he had hundreds and thousands of years to think about it he would not find an answer. The more he thought about it the more it didn't make sense at all. His thought process was...suddenly cut off!
Just up ahead there were some people peacefully making their way to someplace, meaning there had to be some kind of village or city up ahead. Though that aside there was a giant monster, similar to Geocrawler in «Sword Art Online» or Skull Reaper. But a way smaller version.
Those guys had no weapons or anything, no means to protect themself. All they could do was run. Without much time to properly think this through the boy moved. It..certainly didn't feel like VR. Just like how it was in the beginning of underworld, but at the current moment that did not matter!
"Earth Dragon! I didn't think they came out on highways like this!" One guy would shout.
"Run!" The other guy would shout to who seemed to be his partner. The guys would run as fast as they could but the Earth Dragon creature appeared to be catching up fast.
Kazuto would jump using his sword to slash horizontally on the top of his head, cutting off what appeared to be antennas or horns, blood immediately spilling out and spurting upwards from the rather clean and precise cut. He would then land on the ground turning back to the beast. "In any world there always seems to be beasts to take care of.." He would say with a sigh holding his sword which was now covered in insect blood.
Even without any special skills, he was still good at sword fighting and that was an undeniable fact. Spending a good portion of his life using swords, fighting people and mobs alike. He even went to a sword academy. For him to not be good at wielding swords would be odd definitely. The Earth Dragon let out a fierce roar that told him it was angry. "Looks like I made it mad" he would say with a sigh.
The Earth dragon had swung down with a dangerous strike, but moments before kazuto had predicted that movement and effortlessly dodged it. It was already over at this point. Kazuto jumped up, slicing off the head of the beast, making more blood than before explode out before the beast crashed onto the ground. Kazuto had swung his sword down getting all the blood off the blade, instinctively putting his sword behind his back after. Though there was no sheath, force of habit. He just put the sword down.
"That was amazing young boy! You single handedly defeated a risk species!" The man had said in a rather surprised way.
"Risk type..? It didn't seem all too strong to me.." Kazuto would say, the beast hardly did much. It didn't put up much of a fight either, but maybe that was just his skill doing the talking here.
"What's your name boy..?!
He had to take a moment to think. Obviously this wasn't real life and he had a sword. With monsters like this...despite what he was wearing there was only one logical answer.
"Call me Kirito"
AN: Yep that's the end. It's pretty long for just a prologue but whatever. Hope you guys enjoy this new story. Now I got two fanfics I need to update now huh...oh well! See you guys on the official first chapter!
