Chapter 1
Padme and Anakin happily lived in a large lakefront home on Naboo happily raising their children together despite the Jedi Council's concern of Anakin Skywalker having attachments to his children and his children to them since they would be taking the path of the Jedi. Padme took the last name Skywalker after all was revealed and she was clear for so. They lived as a happy family despite Padme rarely being able to see her children, she always received updates every now and then from Anakin who had finally received the rank of master. When the time came for Luke and Leia to become Padawans, Luke's master was Obi-Wan Kenobi, and Leia's was Ahsoka Tano. Both of the children passed the Jedi trails and became Jedi Knights, both knowing it was likely for them to one day be on the council.
Now if we fast forward a few more years and Leia met Han Solo after arresting him for some sort of illegal transporting, and they fell in love, a little while later-after Han was released-Leia became pregnant with Ben Solo, named after her brother's old master and father's best friend. When Anakin found out about this, well, let's just say Han was almost killed from overprotective dad mode. Padme was skeptical of Han at first but was able to accept him later on after seeing what Ani had done to him. The Jedi Order, of course, was very mad to find out one of their best Jedi had gotten pregnant with a criminals' child, but alas, they finally realized it was time to change the Jedi code. Shortly after, Yoda passed away in peace with the force, and would still often visit the Jedi Councils meetings and discussions as a Force Ghost.
When Ben Solo was 10 years old, on the other side of Coruscant Rey Palpatine had been born. Her parents were wealthy as they had inherited a majority of Sheev Palpatine's wealth after he mysteriously disappeared and was declared dead. From age 2 Rey showed signs of force sensitivity. Her parents weren't too happy when the Jedi came to take her away when she was only 4 years old, but they told her to always remember where she came from. After that day she was dragged away from them by the Jedi, she never saw them again.
As time went on, she slowly let go of her hopes of ever seeing them again, but once her parents were on the main Corusantian holo-news channel for hosting a charity fundraiser for tauntauns. She smiled at this but let no one see it, she was best in her class and couldn't let anyone know of her attachment to her parents. As Ben finished his padawan years, he saw Rey for the first time. In this young girl lay so much potential, he could see the light flowing off of her. Maybe she was the chosen one, he thought. But never would he tell anyone that, especially not his grandfather.
Ben's first padawan Deinya Reids. After only 1 year into being a padawan, she left the Jedi order and became a member of the Sith as it slowly rose once again. Ben felt the guilt for this, and couldn't bring himself to get a new padawan afterward, until one member of the council, Yaddle saw what was happening and told him he was a Jedi, and it wasn't his fault, he shouldn't feel the guilt. He then got assigned to a new padawan, Rey Palpatine. She was 12 years old and was one of the best students the Jedi had seen in years. Ben was scared he would mess up again, but he knew he had to at least try. Rey had so much light within her, Ben was in awe of the great things she may one day become.
From the very first moment Rey saw Ben, she could see the conflict that lay within him. She was the most powerful force user that had been seen a long time and could sense things long before they happened, good and bad. Within Ben, she saw the dark side, it was clearly there, though he tried hard to hide it. Ben idolized his grandfather and so how could he ever be as good as him if he joined the dark side that every waking and sleeping hour called to him. Ben one day saw a strange man in his dreams. Wait a minute, this man, was the new sith leader he had heard about, Snoke. With a cackle, Snoke said some words that would never leave him, "Hello my new apprentice, Kylo Ren." Ben awoke with a jolt and hit his head, he was not in his quarters anymore.
