A/N: Its the somethingeth day of quarantine and I'm dying here. I went on an anime binge watching spree and once I finished, I had no clue what to do with my life anymore. So, here I am. Writing a Daiya No Ace fanfiction because Act 2 hit me right in the feels along with fanfictions about mother Eijun and father Miyuki. T^T I know, this is short, but the next chapter is the one I really want to write, so look out for that!

Eijun groaned sleepily and rolled onto his side at the sound of his alarm clock. He heard a soft chuckle behind him as he groped around mindlessly for the off button. Slamming his hand down on it and rolling over, Eijun was met with Miyuki Kazuya. The damned tanuki catcher, who was, now, many years later, his damned tanuki catcher, and husband.

"Morning," he mumbled, still sleepy, and scooted over to cling onto Miyuki's waist. Miyuki smiled softly and brushed his hand over Eijun's head.

"You awake?," he stated, more than asked, "You know that I can't make anything but cereal, and my first game of the season is today."

Eijun just mumbled something incoherent and buried his face deeper into Miyuki's side.

Miyuki sighed and flicked Eijun's head lightly, "Eijun, you know that I can't cook."

Eijun turned his head to face Miyuki, "Then make cereal."

Miyuki fell off the bed, frozen in mock horror and shock, "I-I c-can't be-believe it. My own husband!" he shivered, "so cold!"

Eijun rolled his eyes at Miyuki's dramatics, "you're not going to die Kazuya," but got up anyway.

He padded into the kitchen with Miyuki trailing after him like a puppy. Opening a cupboard, he pulled out chopsticks and some bowls, and then, seemingly out of nowhere, produced enough food to fill half the table.

Miyuki looked awestruck, "where did you? how? huh?"

Eijun giggled at his significant other's face, "eat," he said simply.

Miyuki sat down, his face suddenly pulling into a shit-eating grin, "so you did make food for my game."

Eijun blushed, "don't make me regret it and just eat," he screeched.

Miyuki flicked his eyes back to the food, the grin still on his face, clapped his hands together and bowed, "thanks for the food."

Eijun followed and they both started to eat.

After a while, Eijun broke the silence, "ne, Kazuya," he asked bashfully, "what should we name our baby?"

Miyuki nearly choked on his rice, "baby?!"

Eijun nodded, unwavering.

Miyuki scratched his cheek awkwardly, confused, "I thought we were going to wait to adopt one."

Eijun sighed at that, "I know, not adopted, the one I'm currently having."

Miyuki didn't get it "having?" he asked. Why would Eijun use that word?

"Yeah," Eijun nodded, "I'm apparently one of the few males in the world who can get pregnant, I suppose I should've found that out beforehand, huh?"

Miyuki blinked, stunned from the sudden change of events in just the past few minutes.

In that time, Eijun had crawled up to Miyuki and had put his head on Miyuki's shoulder, "are you mad?" he asked quietly. His voice betraying how worried he felt. Quivering as if he was going to cry.

"No!" Miyuki shouted, maybe a little bit too forcefully, and then softer, "no. I could never hate you. I just needed a second. You're my beautiful husband."

"That's good," Eijun confessed happily, "I wasn't sure what your reaction would be."

Miyuki beamed cheerfully, "I'm nothing short of ecstatic right now Eijun. We're having a baby. We're actually having a baby!" He threw his arms around Eijun squeezing him tightly. Never wanting to let him go

Eijun smiled, comforted by Miyuki's happiness, "so," he asked once more, now comforted, "baby names?"

Miyuki looked up at the ceiling in thought and eventually said proudly, "Emiko for a beautiful baby girl, or Kado for a strong son."

Eijun smiled at Miyuki, "I like those names." he said, and then placed a gentle hand over his stomach.

"By the way," Miyuki asked, only then realizing something, "what about baseball."

Eijun shrugged and looked down, "when I found out, it was either baseball a few months after the birth, or get an abortion. I couldn't bear to do anything to our child, so I didn't try to make any team this year. I'm quitting baseball for a while. Pitching is my life, but our baby is too."

"That must have been hard," Miyuki gazed lovingly at Eijun, "I admire your courage."

Eijun gave a weak smile at the reminder of what he was going to lose. He was trying to be strong, but as much as he loved and cherished the little bundle of joy inside him, he knew for a fact that he would miss baseball. He couldn't even play after the birth because the baby needed someone to take care of them, and Eijun didn't want to burden Miyuki with that.

He would miss pitching dearly, the sound of the ball thumping against the mitt, the rush of adrenaline, the cheering of his teammates and the crowd... standing on the mound. The thought of not having that anymore nearly made Eijun cry.

Miyuki must have sensed this because he started to panic, "oh no, did I do something? I said something didn't I? What's wrong?"

Eijun shook his head and brushed a hand against Miyuki's cheek, "nothing's wrong. Just a little sad. I'll miss baseball, you know?"

Miyuki clasped Eijun's hands between his own, "I know. That's why you're so brave. I could never do that. How about this, when I have the time, and you want to, I'll catch for you, it's a promise."

"I'd like that. Thank you, Kazuya."

Miyuki polished off the last of his food, before pecking his husband on the cheek, "It's settled. I'll see you later then."

Eijun nodded as he walked with Miyuki to the door, and stood there until Miyuki was a speck of black against the rising sun.

When Miyuki had come home, he sheepishly admitted that he might have told everyone on his team about the baby. Eijun wasn't very mad, he supposed that he would have done the same thing.

Eventually, Eijun and Miyuki got around to telling everybody, even Coach Kataoka and Rei- san.

Furya and Okumura had said nothing for a while and then had hung up with a declaration that they would visit. Haruichi and Ryousuke had congratulated them wholeheartedly, Kuramochi had cackled and promised that he would be the best uncle.

The people in the rivaling schools that they knew, like Mei and Sanada, were shocked for a second before laughing and telling them to invite him to the baby's birth. Everyone else reacted similarly, and Eijun and Miyuki had never been happier.

A few months later, the babies were born. Yes. Babies. A month after the pregnancy, Eijun and Miyuki had found out they were having twins, a boy, and a girl. Miyuki had fainted the moment he heard that.

Like they had decided, they invited everyone and named their little girl Emiko, and their son, Kado.

They were scared. It was understandable, but in the years to come, they would watch as Emiko excelled in studying and loved her classes, and as Kado struck out batter after batter with his love for catching.
