It was a beautiful starlit night, and everybody in Paris was asleep, while having pleasant dreams that brought smiles to their faces. But someone was not having a good dream, and it was coming from the Agreste's house.

In the bedroom of the man name, Adrien Agreste. Adrien tossed and turned in his bed as he slept; For the first time ever in his life, he was having…a nightmare:

Adrien found himself doing patrol alone as Cat Noir in the middle of the night. As he was jumping on buildings, he noticed some figures out in front of him a ways away. He run to see what it was. Once he got close enough, he gasped to who he saw before him: His mother, Emilie.

She was hang on for her dear life on a edge on the Eiffel Tower.

"Adrien! Adrien…!" Emilie pleaded, as she tried to hold on the edge of a bar, "Help me!"

"Mother!" Adrien cried as he ran to help her.

But as he reaching to save his mother, he heard a wicked, maniacal laugh coming from behind him.

"HAHAHAHA! MWHAHAHAHAHAHA!" The laughter grew louder as the one following Adrien walked on two feet, only it had an upper body with arms. With piercing dark eyes and a purple suit, the Hero recognized who it was as it laughed with such evil in its voice: Hawkmoth, "MWHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!"

"No…" Adrien could not believe he was here and real. Quickly turning back towards his mother, the panicking young man reached out to Emilie. "Mom! Please, take my hand!" He pleaded, reaching for this mother, desperate to save her this time. Emilie reached for her son's hand. Neither wanted to be separated from the other.

However, a big hand grab Adrien's hand and pulled away from Emilie. He turned and saw Hawkmoth.

"THIS TIME…YOU WILL NOT ESCAPE!"

Adrien gasped as he tried to pull away from him, but then he turned back to his mother once he heard her cry out his name.

"Adrien…!" Emilie cried as her hand slipped on the bar that she was holding and falling to the ground.

"NOOOOOOO!" Adrien screamed as he watched helplessly as his mother was falling to her death. Enraged, Adrien turned towards his enemy and shouted, "HAWKMOTH!"

The giant shadowy form of Hawkmoth laughed on, only to change it's shape…to something different. It was no longer that of the evil villain, but of another familiar face that made Adrien gasped once again.

"Father…?" He muttered when he saw the dark blue eyes glaring at him with a wicked smile.

Soon, the evil father let go of Adrien's hand and found himself falling…falling…falling off of the Eiffel Tower.

"NOOOOOOOOOOOOoooooooo!" He screamed as he was falling to his death…

"NOOOOOOOoooooooo!" Adrien screamed as he quickly awoke, to find himself in his bed and there was sleeping Marinette.

He signed as he got out of his bed not wanting to wake up his princess, his lady, his wife and walking out to the balcony.

Feeling him getting out of the bed, Marinette woke up to find Adrien not in the bed and saw him walking out of their room. She sign as she is getting out of the bed, walking out of the room, and walked outside on the balcony to find Adrien looking out to the beautiful night of the city.

Marinette came up to her husband and placed her hand on his, "Adrien…"

Adrien looked at her with a sad and tired face. "Sorry princess. Did I woke you up?"

"Yea but it's ok. I just want to check on you."

Adrien look back to the city.

"Do you want to talk about what happened before I woke up?" Marinette asked.

He didn't want too, but he spoke anyway. "Well…I was jumping on to buildings…" He explained in full details about everything he encountered in his dream. Marinette held him close to comfort him when he started to cry.

Then she placed her hand on his. There was a tear in her eye and she felt so sorry for him to relive that terrible experience, "I am so sorry, Adrien…."

Adrien nodded lightly, while Marinette hugged him, trying ever so to comfort his saddened heart.

"Your nightmare is not real, Adrien," Marinette assured him with comfort. "Your mother is back and your father gave his miraculous back to us. You have your family back together again like you always wanted."

"I know... sign… It's just that... I don't know... I can't get over of what we've been through especially finding out that the supervillain is my father."

"Do you hate your father?" Marinette questioned.

Adrien answered, "No. I don't. I wish he could have tell me the truth, then we wouldn't make this complicated and dramatic."

Marinette signed, "It's true. He could have told us. But do you think you would believe in that when he told you the truth."

"No... I wouldn't. And if he did, I'd blame him the most for her coma or death. He doesn't want to see me hurt or hurt me. But still... What he did to those people especially his own friends and family for years is selfish."

"That is true, Adrien. But as a father, he only want to protect you from danger. And I'm guessing is he doesn't want you to see him a villain and monster."

"Well, I saw it. I was ashamed, disappointed and angry with him for doing such thing. But I also understand why he did it." He cry tearfully, "Why am I so conflicted about it? I do want to see my mom again, but I don't like the idea of paying the price."

Marinette hugged him tighter, "I can't answer you for that. But I know one thing. You want to do right thing - protecting friends, family and people. You're the one, who managed to talk your father out of it. He stopped and helped us to find a way to bring her back."

"If he didn't..."

"Things could have become worse. And the last thing I want is to fight you." Marinette said sadly.

"Me neither. Do you think I did the right thing from not revealing my father's a Hawkmoth?" Adrien questioningly asked.

"Your father wanted to reveal his identity to public and be in prison. But you didn't because you want the family to be whole. And I didn't because I don't want you to be sad and pain when you finally got the family back together. That's why I lied to the public that Hawkmoth's gone."

Adrien smiled, "Thanks. I appreciate it, Marinette. Still... Do you think I might end up like him if anything's goes wrong or losing someone I loved."

"That will never happened because we are always here for you. Nino, Alya, your mom and dad, my parents, Tikki and Plagg…" Marinette assured as she embraced him, "…and I will always be here for you as for our daughter." She put one of Adrien's hand on her belly.

Adrien smiled and held his precious wife close to him, returning the feeling. He loved her with all his heart and would always be there for her too.

Once that was all settled, they immediately returned to bed…desperate to get some sleep. Marinette kissed Adrien goodnight and went back to sleep. Adrien smiled and lay down in bed next to his wife…with his chances of having pleasant dream again at a good rate.

Bonus: Gabriel's Lament

Gabriel was inside his usual room, where butterflies and moths were flying around. While looking at the butterfly-like window, he looked upset and guilty after what he has done in the past.

Emilie, the revived mother of Adrien, has arrived and entered the room. She looked concern as she knew something wrong with her husband.

Emilie: Couldn't get over it, Gabriel?

Gabriel: I don't deserve this, Emilie. No, I hate it. They should have sent me to prison.

Emilie: Gabriel, Marinette and Adrien forgave you and help you to save me from certain death. They understand why you did it. The let you free and gave the false reports to protect your image and family.

Gabriel: Still... Adrien hates me after what I have done. I don't deserve to be his father. I don't deserve this.

Emilie: Gabriel...

Gabriel: I have to be honest with you. When I became Hawkmoth, I thought I'd only wanted is the Ladybug and Cat Noir Miraculous for saving you. I didn't think about people's feelings, just to exploit and turn them into my pawns for accomplishing my mission. People in France started to hate me because of what I did to them but I didn't care. (Sighed) I truly hate being supervillain, but a necessary to save your life, Emilie. And I am willing to accept my punishment and price for such acts.

Emilie: Gabriel.

Gabriel: By morning, I'm going to confront Mayor and tell them the truth. I will be locked up for good. This is the greater good for Paris, for you and for our son.

Emilie: No. That's not greater good. That is selfish.

Gabriel: I know, but-!

Emilie: No more buts, Gabriel. Adrien doesn't want to lose his family again. I can tell that he loved us so much. He doesn't want us gone again.

Gabriel: But my son hates me. He never trust me again.

Emilie: Then, regain it. He gave you the chance to repent it. So, don't waste it.

Gabriel: I don't know how to start.

Emilie: Become a father you're supposed to be, not a supervillain. Understand?

Gabriel: Understand. I'll try to be a better father and husband now.

Emilie: That's good.

Gabriel: Do you think he'd forgive me?

Emilie: Time can tell...
