This is an outline. The first chapters of the story will come soon

Title flash:

Sergeants assign duties, shifts and territories, and make sure the officers meet their daily responsibilities

Meeting:

Bogo: "I have some important announcements. There's some unfortunate news on the passing of Lieutenant Ozzie, the Opposum...and this time he has, in fact, died. We are moved by his impressive work over these past decades. More details on his funeral will be outlined and sent to you later tonight. With some consideration, the officers in his patrol will be transferred to new districts. Come see me afterwards in my office for those details. And, last but not least, we'll be forming a new patrol with the new recruits and assigning their new Lieutenant: this officer is diligent, committed, quick and headstrong, accomplished so much with in little time; and now it's my pleasure to assign our very own...Officer Nick Wilde...as Lieutenant Wilde. Dismissed."

Judy gets jealous that Nick got chosen over her (like Incredibles 2)

Thinks she wasn't recognized for her efforts as she was his partner

"Sir I- I don't quite...understand. Y'know, I've certainly thrown my paw in to this force for months and months, but-"

"You're clearly the Senior Officer over these new rookies, don't be disheartened."

"But, Chief, it's just, I-"

[cuts Judy off]"I understand that you're upset, Hopps, but Wilde has the skill-set I need for these new recruits."

"I am proud, sir. I just-" [her voice trailed off, saddened]

"You wanted that promotion. [Sighs, now speaking calmly, chuckling slightly] Whether or not Wilde makes for a good leader I don't know yet. But I'm giving him this chance because, as much as his attitude makes me question it, I believe in him. And I think you should too. After all, you were his partner." [Bogo returns to office]

"He IS my partner [romantically]."

Judy, of course, decides to prove herself to Chief Bogo once again

She leans that it's not always about her and Nick shines in some ways Judy simply can't. Positions don't define a person.

She becomes closer to Nick as she learns to trust his judgement (advantageously, he knows how both sides of the law work)

Patrol consists of a wolf ("Fang"), a cheetah ("Swift"), a meerkat ("Mole"), a panda ("Fist"), a bull ("Brawn") and Judy ("Carrots")
