Easter Treats And Fun Times

Katie felt an arm wrapped around her and felt a soft kiss on her head and then her face. She made a cute noise as she wiped her eyes, opening them to find her father smiling down at her. "Good morning, baby," she heard Optimus coo softly to her.

"Hi, Daddy." She said cutely, reaching up to him and he leaned closer as she wrapped her arms around his neck in a hug.

"We're gonna go to the cabin again this year," he said with a smile. "And this time, Thundercracker, Astrotrain, and Skywarp are coming with us to celebrate Easter."

"Yay!" Katie said excitedly as she yawned, fully waking up. She loved the three 'Cons who proved that they had good sparks and wouldn't ever harm her. To hear they'd be joining the Autobots for Easter was a great surprise.

"Come on, sweetheart, everyone's having breakfast and they're waiting for you," Optimus chuckled as he picked up his daughter.

"When are TC, Warp, and Astro coming over?" She asked.

"After breakfast and after we are ready to head out," he promised. "Starscream said he'd cover for them. Seems you made quite the impression on him during Thanksgiving."

Katie giggled. "He's not a bad 'Con," she said. "He's just like his brothers and Astro."

Optimus chuckled again as he agreed with his daughter and he carried her to the dining room where the others were waiting.

"There she is; there's our cutie pie," Groove said as Optimus placed her in her seat and Elita gave the honey-haired girl her breakfast.

"Here you go, honey." Elita said softly.

"Here yours too, Rachie." Jazz said, giving the tiny blond hair girl her food.

"Thanks, Jazzy," the blond-haired girl said with a grin.

"Thank you, Mommy," Katie said to her mother before they all began eating, eager to get started on their trip to the cabin where they had spent Easter the previous year.

After they ate, the Protectobots went up to the two sisters. "Better get ready and pack up; we'll be leaving in a while," Hot Spot said, picking his baby sister up and taking Katie to her bedroom to help her get ready to go.

Blades took Rachel to her room and it wasn't long before the girls were all ready. When it was time to go, they all loaded up the vans and waited on Thundercracker, Astrotrain, and Skywarp. Katie squealed excitedly as she saw them flying in and transformed. She ran up to them, a happy smile on her face.

Thundercracker kneeled down and held out his arms to her, happily picking her up and cuddling her tightly. "Hi, baby girl," he said, kissing her head and face, making her giggle.

Katie giggled more as he passed her to Astrotrain and Skywarp, who both cuddled and kissed her too. "Finally, we get to spend Easter with you," Astrotrain said happily.

"It was nice of Optimus to invite us," Skywarp said as he held Katie.

"Will Star be okay?" The little girl asked worriedly.

"Don't worry, sweetspark," Thundercracker soothed. "He'll be alright. He insisted on staying behind to cover for us, though we tried to convince him to come."

"Maybe next time," Astrotrain said soothingly. "After all, Starscream does care about Katie like we do."

"We knew he did," Skywarp said. "He was just too shy to show it."

Katie giggled again. "Please tell him thank you for me," she said.

Thundercracker closed his eyes and smiled a moment later. "He says you're welcome and he sends his love," he said, gently ruffling the little girl's hair. "You definitely made his spark melt just as you did ours."

Rachel, who had heard that, giggled. "You guys are just big softies," she said, squeaking in surprise when Astrotrain picked her up.

"Only for cuties like you and your sister, kiddo," he said with a chuckle as she hugged him.

The Autobots, Cons, and the girls climbed in the vans and set off on their adventure. "You know what, I'm gonna go get some more fresh air again! See ya!" Rodimus said. Katie giggled as her brother once again unbuckled himself and climbed out the window and up on the van roof.

"Roddy! Not again!" She giggled as her window rolled down, courtesy of Drift who was driving, and Rodimus grabbed her after he unbuckled her seatbelt and pulled her up into his lap, making sure he held her securely as Drift slowed down to be sure the two wouldn't fall off.

"Hey! That looks fun! Wait for me!" Skywarp said, unbuckling himself and rolling down his window before climbing up to join them, making the others laugh in amusement.

"Just like last year," Springer said as he gazed at Arcee, who smiled too.

"Something tells me this Easter will be just as fun," she said.

When they arrived and got out of the vans, Katie grabbed Thundercracker's hand and took him inside of the cabin. Chuckling, he followed her and looked around. "Wow, it is a big place," he said.

"Enough room for everyone," Silverbolt said as he and the rest of the Aerialbots came out. Katie ran up to the leader and hugged him and he returned the hug before passing her to the others.

Skywarp came in. "This place is great," he said with a nod. "It feels so peaceful out here."

"I think that's why Dad and Mom chose this cabin," Rodimus said. "Because it's peaceful and relaxing."

"That sounds good," Thundercracker said with a smile.

Skyfire smiled. "Makes me think of the good days on Cybertron before the war," he said softly.

"You can say that again," Astrotrain said in agreement.

Blaster came in then. "Hey, anyone else up for a swim?" He asked.

That idea was met with a unanimous vote.

Katie made a cute noise as her mother helped her in her swimsuit and her big sister-in-law/godmother rubbed some sunscreen on her. Rachel was waiting patiently beside them as she was already in her swimsuit and Chromia had rubbed sunscreen on her too.

"There we go! Now you girls have fun and stay where we can see you," Elita said, kissing her daughter's head.

"We will, Aunty Elita," Rachel promised her.

"Show them what you made of, squirt," Chromia said to Katie, smiling.

"Kay!" Katie said cutely as she ran outside and towards the lake where some of her brothers and cousins were swimming. She squeaked and giggled as Astrotrain picked her up suddenly and ran to the deck.

"Geronimo!" He cried as he jumped in the water with Katie in his arms. Rachel laughed as she saw that, knowing her sister was safe with the triple changer and she went to the water's edge, carefully stepping into it. The water was pleasantly cool and warm at the same time, making it ideal for swimming. Blaster, seeing her, smiled and swam up to her.

"Come on, kiddo," he said with a smile as he held out his hands. "I've got you."

Grinning, she went up to him before gasping as she felt the ground suddenly end, but he caught her before she fell. "Easy, kiddo," he said. "There's a bit of a drop right there."

She held onto him. "Don't let go," she pleaded.

"No worries, kiddo. Uncle Blaster's got ya. I won't let you fall," he promised as he swam out to the others. Trusting him, Rachel held on and was soon giggling as a water fight took place.

"Chicken fight!" Fireflight called out and some of the others echoed his cry before choosing partners and forming a line. Astrotrain and Blaster swam nearby to watch while the sisters stayed with them.

"Go, TC!" Katie cheered as she saw him on Skyfire's shoulders trying to push Skydive off of Silverbolt's shoulders.

"Go, Skydive!" Rachel cheered as the sisters giggled.

Astrotrain chuckled. "I don't get why it's called Chicken Fight, but it looks like fun," he said.

"It is fun and it makes for a hilarious time," Blaster said with a smile.

Skydive managed to push Thundercracker off of Skyfire's shoulders, but over balanced and fell off of Silverbolt's shoulders at the same time. "It's a tie!" Katie said with a giggle.

"Sillies! They pushed each other over!" Rachel laughed out.

After a few more silly games of Chicken Fight and water fighting, it was time for dinner, which was hamburgers and hot dogs. The meal filled them all with happiness before the 'Cons noticed the girls were falling asleep. "Looks like it's nearly time for the dream femme," Optimus said with a smile as they all headed inside with the 'Cons picking up the girls.

Thundercracker smirked as Katie snuggled close to him as she fell asleep. "Hehe, she's such a cutie," he said as he put her in bed.

"Yep, she's our little cutie," First Aid said before seeing that Katie was clinging to the blue seeker a bit in her sleep. "She wants you to stay with her."

Thundercracker smiled again and settled beside the girl, who snuggled closer to his chest, her head resting over where his spark was. He chuckled before placing an arm around her protectively and falling asleep.

Rachel was asleep next to Drift, who had one arm around her protectively as he slept. Optimus nodded as he saw this and smiled, knowing that the two girls would be safe with the two. Elita came up beside him and smiled. "TC really does care about our daughter," she said.

"That he does," Optimus said in agreement.

Later that night...

Katie opened her eyes as she found herself in a dark place. "Mommy? Daddy?" She called out. "TC?"

A rumbling sound surrounded her and she felt fear fill her as an evil-sounding laugh began to fill her ears. It was so awful that she covered her ears with her hands, but could feel the laugh surrounding her. "Mommy! Daddy! Sis! TC!" She screamed out, not knowing what was happening, but it was scaring her as she realized she was caught in a nightmare. She closed her eyes tightly as she began crying, tears falling down her face.

A bright light suddenly fill the room, making the laughter stop in shock and a voice hissed as if in pain. "Begone, monster!" A familiar voice called out.

"You shall not harm this child!" Another familiar voice said. "Now, go!"

At once, the rumbling stopped and all became quiet until Katie felt a gentle breeze tug her hair and she lifted her head up to see she was sitting in a field of flowers that looked so beautiful that it calmed her down. Two gentle hands came around her sides and lifted her up into two gentle arms. "Are you alright, sweetspark?" Asked the first voice.

She looked up and gasped before smiling as she recognized the kind face looking at her. "Grandpa!" She said, hugging him tightly. "You saved me."

He chuckled as he rubbed her back. "Of course, my dear," he said. "But I wasn't alone."

Katie heard footsteps coming towards them and looked up to see another kind face, one that she recognized at once. "Primus!" She said happily, reaching for him as she then noticed that both he and her grandfather were in their holoforms, so they were the same height as human adults.

Smiling, the benevolent bot accepted the child, holding her comfortingly. "Don't worry, princess. That monster won't bother you again," he said soothingly.

"What was it?" She asked curiously.

"Our enemy," Alpha Trion said, his face serious. "He's the enemy of all Cybertronians, both Autobot and Decepticon."

Katie felt worry fill her, but Primus gently patted her head. "Shh, he can't hurt you now," he said.

She nodded and hugged him. "Thank you for rescuing me," she said.

"You're welcome, little one," Alpha Trion said with a smile.

"We'll always be near, little princess," Primus promised, kissing her forehead gently before handing her to his friend, who held her and also kissed her forehead gently.

"It's time for you to wake up, my granddaughter," he said to her. "It's a new day and a happy day."

She smiled and closed her eyes. "Love you," she said softly as her head rested on her grandfather's shoulder.

"And we love you," he said to her.

Primus nodded with a smile as he and his old friend watched the little one fall fast asleep as calm settled over them once again.

The next morning Katie woke up and she happily shook Thundercracker when she realized what day it was. "TC! Bubbies! Wake up! It's Easter!" She said happily.

The blue seeker groaned as he woke up. "What time is it?" He asked as he sat up.

Hot Spot yawned. "Almost seven-thirty," he said.

Katie got up and giggled, running to find the others and wake them up. She came up to the bed where Rachel and Drift were sleeping. "Sis! Drift, wake up!" She said, climbing up onto the bed and shaking her sister gently.

Rachel woke up and rubbed her eyes. "Katie?" She asked. "What is it?"

"It's Easter!" The little girl said excitedly before she remembered something. "And I saw Grandpa and Primus last night again!"

Drift sat up with a start when he heard that. "What?" He asked in shock.

Rachel woke up more then. "Really?" She asked in surprise.

Katie nodded. "They saved me from a monster," she said. "I was in a room that was all dark and no one was around and all of a sudden, this evil laugh filled the room and scared me, but Grandpa and Primus rescued me. They made that monster leave."

Drift blinked. "What monster?" He asked worriedly.

The little girl thought for a moment. "They didn't say who is was, but said he was an enemy to both the Autobots and Decepticons," she said.

The Wreckers, who had just woken up, sat up sharply at hearing that. "You saw Unicron?!" Ultra Magnus asked in shock.

Rodimus was by his little sister's side in an instant. "Where?" He asked.

"I didn't meet him, but I guess he tried to trap me in a nightmare, but Grandpa and Primus rescued me," she said.

"I'm glad," Rachel said. "Unicron sounds awful."

"He is," Kup said gravely. "Let's hope you young ones never have to meet him. Ever."

Optimus sat up, as did Elita. "Did he try to come here?" The femme asked.

"He tried to trap Katie, but Alpha Trion and Primus got her out," Rachel said.

"Good," Optimus nodded as he didn't like that the Destroyer had targeted his daughter.

Drift took a calming breath and felt it was time for something happier. "Why don't we all go see the sunrise?" He suggested, seeing it was getting lighter out. "I think we can catch it if we hurry outside now."

Liking that idea, they all headed out and smiled as the sun began to slowly rise, turning the sky pink, orange, and purple. "It's so pretty!" Katie said in awe.

"And perfect," Rachel said.

"I couldn't agree more," Jazz said with a nod.

Later on after breakfast, they were dyeing some eggs to hide and hunt for later when Katie noticed the Aerialbots and Twins were working on something. "What are you doing?" She asked curiously, peeking to look at what they were doing.

"We're making some of the Easter eggs like glitter bombs. Wanna help?" Sideswipe asked with a smile.

"Uh huh!" Katie said excitedly as it did sound like fun. Air Raid helped her up next to him and it wasn't long before they had quite a few done. Steeljaw and Ramhorn, who stood guard at the door, smirked as they knew it was soon going to be a glitter bomb fight.

The Wreckers volunteered to hide the Easter eggs while Rodimus told Thundercracker about the Easter Bunny and the seeker agreed to put on the bunny suit. "You sure it won't frighten the girls?" He asked.

"No, it won't," the flamed mech reassured him. "They love the Easter Bunny."

Astrotrain looked curious. "Can I be one too?" He asked.

"Sure."

As this was going on, the glitter bomb fight had begun. Katie, Rachel, and the cassette twins giggled as they tossed the glitter bomb eggs at the bots. The honey-haired girl huffed as she threw on at Skywarp and missed. "What was that?!" He asked as he laughed.

Rachel looked up to see Drift was on a tree branch right above the seeker and she giggled. "It's called a distraction," she said through her giggles.

Taking that as his cue, the samurai mech dropped a few glitter bombs on Skywarp, who shrieked in surprise, making the sisters laugh so hard that they fell to the ground, still laughing. Drift laughed too before Skyfire nailed him with a glitter bomb, making him nearly tumble off the tree branch, but he caught himself in time.

Soon, they all ran out of glitter bombs and were covered in glitter. "Look! We're shiny!" Katie said happily.

Chuckles of amusement filled the air. "Looks like we all are," Twin Twist said with a chuckle.

Ultra Magnus came up to them, chuckling as he saw them. "Alright, the eggs are hidden and word has reached me that the Easter Bunny is on his way," he said.

Rachel and Katie suddenly gasped as they were picked up from behind and pulled into fuzzy arms and they turned to see two Easter Bunnies. "Two Easter Bunnies?" Katie asked with a giggle.

"Awesome!" Rachel said before giggling as the one holding her tickled her neck before hopping around while holding her. The one holding Katie did the same, making her giggle before the girls were set down and the Easter Bunnies suddenly began doing the Worm, which made both sisters laugh as it looked so funny.

After the two bunnies got back up and picked up the girls again, Rachel reached up and gently pushed back the bunny head to reveal Astrotrain. "Astro!" She said in surprise before giggling. "You make a good Easter Bunny."

"Thank you," he said, nuzzling his nose against hers to make her laugh again.

Katie gently pushed back the bunny head of the one holding her and giggled when she saw a familiar face. "TC!" She giggled, hugging him.

He chuckled. "Your brother talked us into it," he said to her.

Optimus chuckled. "I'm sure he did," he said, looking over at his son and smiling. "Alright, who's up for an Easter Egg hunt?"

That was met with a unanimous vote and as the Autobots and 'Cons watched, the two sisters hunted together, helping each other out and giggling as they found not only eggs, but candy too.

It was another fun Easter with both treats and fun times with their loving family.
