Note: This is based off the events from chapter 266 of My Hero Academia.I have a poll set up for my other fanfiction, Worthless Diamonds. Originally, I thought he would be in jail. Now I would have to rethink that. Please do the poll! If you are an anime only, please don't read this since it may cause spoilers. R.I.P. Twice! TwT
Toga stood over the ruins of an abandoned building. She was currently hiding with Spinner, Mr. Compress, Giran, IceMan and Dabi. They barely got away from the heroes after the war. Cut and bruised, the group had been wondering for days until they found a place to hide until the heat dies down. Or so they hope…
Himiko looked over her shoulder and expected Twice to be there. He would always say random things especially at times like this. "Well, this sucks! Let's keep at!" He would throw around crazy gestures. His heat would press against her when he got too close. However, there was no one there. Just an empty darkness behind her.
She laughed to herself. "I'm so used to having him around. It's almost scary." She frowned. The air felt empty. She began remembering the last time she saw him. She and Mr. Compress were fighting off a hero. The hero unleashed a quirk that caught them both. It seemed like it would be over for them. Suddenly, Twice came and hit the hero from the back of the head. They were about to head to the bunkers when Twice began to shake. He said he couldn't clone anything anymore. He fell and hit the concrete after being backstabbed by Hawks. He pulled out the pink handkerchief to clean Toga and return her clone began melting before her very eyes. Toga knew it wasn't his fault that it happened. Stunned, she hugged him. "Thank you for saving me," She said. There was soon nothing left of him than a puddle of mud. After that they fought on. A lot of the allies went down and now they found themselves with two choices: Get captured or run. Running was their only option. Toga and Mr. Compress managed to take down some heroes to escape. They met up with the others who managed to slip by and vanished into the night.
The chill of the night air brought her back to reality. It was back to square one. Starving and now leaderless. They had no way of knowing what happened to Tomura or how to get to him. Finding a place to hide until things get a little quiet was the only thing they come up with. She pulled out the handkerchief and began to recall how she was saved from Skeptic's puppets through what Twice told her. She was unconscious after her fight with Curious. She could only remember being picked up a few times and hear Twice screaming her name. When she woke up, he was bandaged and bleeding from the forehead. The pain he had to go through to save her. Now, he saved her a second time before he died. "Jin," She said. "I'm very glad to have met you. You were a lot of fun. Saying one thing, but then say something else. I was always able to understand you. You may have not been like Ochacko or Deku or Stainy, but you make me feel like I belong. Even after everything you've been through, you still look out for us. You always keep close to me and take responsibility for your own actions. When we get in trouble, you help us out. You're so selfless, Jin. I'm not mad at what happened to you that day."
She found herself having a hard time to swallow those words. "I wish I was with you that day. I would've helped you with Hawks. I might've been able to help you. You didn't have to die, Jin." She sniffed and memories of her life before the league came to her. Being forced to be normal. Pleasing her parents. Never once expressing her true self. Now thinking, she found herself lonely at that time. Surrounded by people who only liked her as the person she thought she was. Only was she able to join the league, she felt more free than she had been. She didn't feel lonely. She had Twice and they did nearly everything together. He didn't get covered in too much blood, but he could fight well and his power was so cool. If only she had told those things to him. But he's gone now. Hopefully, in a place that finally made him happy.
Two dark spots appeared on the handkerchief and Toga touched her face. Her cheeks were wet and her eyes were stinging. She was crying. Before long, she sobbed and crouched close to the ground. "Jiiiiinnnnnn!" She wailed. "Jiiiiiinnnn! I'm sorry! I'm so sorry!" Her hair fell out of her usual bun and fell in a messy mop of hair.
As the full moon glowed in the night sky, it showed a girl that had lost someone special to her. Someone who might not be the kind of love she was used to, but a love that made her feel normal and accepted. No longer was she the murderous vampire. She was now a lonely girl in an unforgiving world. A girl who lost her beloved Jin Bubaigawara.
