It was a lonely day in the palace. Jaq was sitting on the balcony of the castle and gus was taking a nap on a pillow made of silk. Jaq was a little more depressed than usual. It was valentines day. The day of love and passion. Jaq was sighing sadly at all these different couples who were either kissing or spending time looking at each other in the eyes.
Jaq was feeling like this because he had feelings for cinderella. He was attracted to her beauty and kindness and love. When she smiled his heart pounded. When she sang with her enchanting voice his palms got sweaty and his knees felt like jelly. He was madly in love with her but he knew it would never work between a small mouse and a human woman.
He saw cinderella singing 'So this is love.' He sighed dreamily and stared down at the dazzling beauty. But when the prince showed up next to her the lovely moment came to an end. He growled with jealousy and glared at the prince. He wished more than anything that he and cinderella would marry each other and have a happily ever after with him. When mary found out about his feelings for cinderella she left and found another mouse and married.
Jaq went back inside of cinderella's room and sighed. "Cinderelly if only you knew". 'What am I thinking?!' 'I'm a mouse she is a human it would never happen so get over it!' Soon enough Cinderella's fairy godmother appeared and looked at Jaq with sympathy. "Jaq I had no idea you felt like this for cinderella." Jaq was too embarrassed to even speak.
"Alright, Jaq I will make you a deal". "I will take you to an alternate universe where you are human." "If you can get Cinderella to fall in love with you by next Valentine's day you will remain human permanently." Jaq looked at the fairy godmother with excitement in his eyes. "But here is the catch. If cinderella chooses another man you have to come back no second chances." "Wait!" "What about gus gus?" The fairy godmother chuckled and smiled. "Don't worry you'll be together." Jaq woke up by cinderella's enchanting voice. Jaq rubbed his eyes and opened them and found rough but muscular hands. Jaq was shocked and ran to a mirror. His face was rough and tanned. He had sharp cheekbones and his face had light stubble and his teeth were perfect. he looked down and his arms were lightly rough. He ran his fingers through his auburn colored hair and his eyes were a dark brown. He looked at his chest and it was lightly chiseled.
'Thank you, fairy godmother'. He smiled. He looked and saw cinderella's old house. He looked and saw the evil stepmother and stepsisters. He sighed and thought 'Well that's just great.' "Good morning jaq." he looked around and saw cinderella smiling with her perfect white teeth. "Good morning cinderella." 'Wow I can talk normally now!' he thought. Cinderella smiled and picked up the laundry basket. "Let me help you with that." he smiled. "Oh that's kind of you jaq but I'm fine." "I insist." he smiled "Well if you say so." Cinderella smiled.
Jaq felt his stomach go into knots at her sweet talking voice and her perfect soft-looking lips. 'I hope I can do this.' he thought. Cinderella was kind but he was reconsidering. 'How could I compete with the prince he thought. But then he remembered how sad he was this morning. 'Maybe I do have a chance'. Cinderella was feeding the different animals while he went to the laundry room. Cinderella smiled at Jaq and kissed his cheek. "Thank you, Jaq." and went inside to do her chores. 'Just maybe.' he said while touching the lipstick mark with his fingers.
