Strawberries and reading/Embry and Bella. /During Eclipse/breaking dawn.
Chapter 1: meeting you
Bella set her napkin down gently and tried not to make much noise. She had been coming to this library for the past two weeks and no had notice her yet. She quickly pulled out the container of Strawberries and dug around her book collection. Let see outsiders, Divergent, Matilda, Outsiders ...Stargirl. Stargirl it was. Yes, she knew she was nineteen and reading children's books, but she was trying to go back down memory lane. She wanted to read books that would cause her to think and some that would cause her to cry. She just wanted to feel something. She had been numb for too long. Everything she did was either a selfish choice or it hurt everyone else. She hadn't known what to do and when she finally came to a decision everyone hated her for it. ok, not everyone. Some agreed and some didn't but she didn't know what else to do. She was a human Being. She didn't have superpowers like everyone else around her. She needed to help in some way, and this had been her only option. Her only escape.
Flashback:
"are you sure bout this Bella?" Jasper asked her as he handed her the plane ticket. He had no idea where it was located, he just asked for one with a surprise destination.
"I'm sure jasper. My scent is all over forks and with Leah wearing my clothes for a whole two weeks. It will be hard to track me. you and Sam are the only ones Who I can trust and who I could truly talk to about this. Everyone else is…their just too emotionally involved."
"just be careful Bella. We will try to keep our thoughts as closed off as possible, but you know he will eventually find out and... he will try to find you." Sam's deep voice reminded her as he handed her, her luggage.
"I know Sam but with no one knowing where I am…it will be a while. Besides he knows to focus on the enemy and his family…Not me. Besides after everything that's happened...I am no longer his priority."
Jasper let out an laugh less chuckle.
"I'm sorry Bella but once you joined yourself to a vampire…you always become their priority."
Bella rolled her eyes.
"yes. Yes, and I thoroughly regret that but hey you two need to get out of here. my plane is going to leave, and you need to get rid of my scent. Not that it is super strong."
Both men nodded and the last thing Bella saw before she boarded her plan was their tall figures. She would forever be grateful to them.
End Flashback
Bella shook her head and got back to her book, Eyes filling up with tears as Stargirl got to her school to see no one had supported her upon her return. Only her two best friends and a few pitying staff were there.
But one thing Bella loved about Stargirl was her boldness and her bravery. She didn't care what anyone thought of her. She wore spunky outfits and carried around her pet rat.
It made Bella feel like a coward sometimes. Why couldn't she be that bold and just not give a damn.
With that thought she took a juicy strawberry and bit into it.
"uh ma'am you can't eat in the library. Its disrespectful to the books."
Bella looked up, ashamed and irritated.
"I know how to respect my books. As you can see, I have wet wipes, a place mat and a special placement for my book. Besides I own these." She said not looking up at the man.
Surprisingly she heard a small chuckle.
"well, as I can see you have a good set up but it's still against library policy and you didn't bring any to share with everyone else."
This time Bella finally looked up. She had reached to offer the man her strawberries but stop dead when she finally looked into his eyes. He was wearing shades but since he was leaning down to talk to her they slide to the bridge of his nose.
One eye was bright green, and another was half blue and half brown. She had never seen anything like it.
Without thinking Bella said the first thing that came to mind.
"wow! Your eyes."
The guy immediately backed away ready for something nasty.
"their incredible! Like super incredible!"
