Annabeths POV

Another day at the hospital! I thought to myself as I dressed myself in a lab coat. I loved being a surgeon. Who knew, maybe someday I'd become the next Heather Willson, the most famous doctor to every cure a patient. I drove down to Edenbura, the hospital I worked at. Even though my shift started a 4 a.m., I was already pumped and energized. I parked and walked into the giant double doors. I walked into the off-duty room, waiting for morning orientation. It was already 3:58, but only half the team was there. At the last second though, they rushed through the doors. Barely 5 seconds later, the head of our team, Dr. Sarah Montgomery walked in. "Good Morning! We don't have many patients today, so it should be pretty slow. Now, your assignments: Josh and Kait-" She was cut of by the sound of urgent alarms cutting through the quiet hospital walls. Everyone was frozen for a moment. But then, Dr. Montgomery took charge. "Alright Everyone! We have to hurry. Move down to the Emergency area and help as many patients as possible. Go guys go!" We got down there a older resident said, "There was a subway derailment downtown. Part of the subway collapsed and so did part of the tunnel. The next 4 hours were a blur of blood and pain. I worked like a machine, doing surgery after surgery. Eventually, the Emergency area was almost empty. I sighed and started to walk back to the off duty, when suddenly, the emergency doors burst open. I rushed over and saw Dr. Montgomery rapidly and urgently talking to a paramedic that was quickly rolling in a stretcher covered in blood. I sprinted over to them and said, "Dr. Montgomery, do you need help? She looked up at me and replied breathlessly, "Yes, thank you so much Dr. Chase." "Whats the diagnosis?" I asked. The paramedic jumped in,"Caucasian male, suffered extreme internal bleeding after a section of the subway and a giant piece of the tunnel fell on his chest." "Do we have a name?" I said, looking down at my patient. I saw a face that looked vaguely familiar. Dark hair, tanned skin. The pieces clicked together even before the paramedic replied, "Percy Jackson."
