In an afternoon at the Grant Mansion, Lea Thompson came inside to look for the Jocklin Sister. "HIC! Oh, man! HIC!" Much to Lea's inconvenience, she had a bad case of the hiccups. "Okay. HIC! I'm sure I can-HIC-find Rachel or-HIC-Sasha later." Lea shrugged with another hiccup. "Hopefully-HIC-my hiccups will be-HIC-over then."
"YOU!" A voice roared.
With a scream, Lea spun around and saw what looked like Frankenstein's Monster! "YIKES!" Lea stumbled and fell on her behind. She looked at this monster in sheer terror. She was too scared to move, but then she noticed something despite her fears.
"Hey! My hiccups are gone!" Lea beamed. "Thanks!"
The monster blinked. He wasn't expecting that reaction. "Uh, you're welcome? I think? Who are you?"
"Oh, right. Guess we never met before. I'm Lea. Lea Thompson," Lea explained. "I visited the Grant Mansion here a few times before. I came to visit Rachel and Sasha, but found out that they're nowhere inside the house. Then, I started getting this hiccups until you showed up."
"Ah! You're THAT Lea! Whampire told me about you!" said Frankenstrike.
Lea swallowed a little. She remembered Whampire; the vampire alien with hypnotic powers that left her in a trance.
"He did? Like what?" Lea questioned nervously. "He's not still mad about the time I whacked him with my hockey stick that one time, is he?"
"Water under the bridge," Frankenstrike wave his hand. "And just how you're friends with the Guardians of Childhood. You're much beautiful and brave up close."
Lea blushed from the compliment. "Thanks."
"No problem. So, what brings you here?"
"Well, as I said before, I came to chat with the Jocklin Sisters," Lea replied. "Of course, I realize now that they might not be home and spent most of the time walking around the halls with the case of the hiccups before you showed up in stopping them."
Lea noticed Frankenstrike staring at Lea intently. The alien scratched his chin, a sign that he was deep in thought.
And Lea noticed his staring. "Is something wrong?"
"I actually have this project I'm working with. I was going to ask Rachel or Sasha's help today, but they're out early," Frankenstrike responded.
"Oh! How about I help you out? It's the least I can do for you after stopping my hiccups," Lea offered.
Frankenstrike smiled. "I like your can-do attitude, kid! Follow me!"
Grinning back, Lea followed Frankenstrike to his lab. When entering, she was both amazed and freaked out about how the lab looked.
"This is where you work? It's more old-fashioned yet futuristic than I expected it to be," Lea admitted, rubbing her arms.
"I moved it from my home on Anur Transyl. You can't just build a lab with just any old parts." said Frankenstrike. He picked up Lea and placed her on the medical berth in the center of the room. "Just lay here on your back and relax."
"Uh, okay," Lea responded, kind of confused about the request but went along with it.
As Frankenstrike went back to get some equipment, Lea's eyes darted around the room, slowly regretting this. 'I don't think this was a good idea...' she thought. 'I never even asked what kind of project this was.'
Suddenly, Lea's arms were brought up and strapped to the table! Lea gasped as Frankenstrike restrained her ankles as well! "AAAAAHHHHH! WHAT ARE YOU DOING?! LET ME GO!"
Frankenstrike watched the blonde teen struggle hard in panic.
"Calm down, Lea. I'm not going to hurt you or anything. I just first need to test your sensitivity levels on your body before I begin my project," Frankenstrike explained.
"What?!" Lea couldn't struggle free. She could only watch Frankenstrike stick these strange wires to her sides, above her armpits, and on the ball pads of her feet.
Frankenstrike chuckled as the preparations were complete. "Perfect."
Lea gulped, her face white as a sheet. "What are you going to do to me?!"
"Don't worry. This is going to be a painless test before having you help me with what I'm really working on," Frankenstrike assured. "No harm will happen to you. I promise."
But Lea was too scared to even listen. She squeezed her eyes tight and mentally prepared herself for whatever this alien monster was going to do to her.
'Why?!' Lea whimpered in her head. 'Why did I even agree to be a test subject?! Why-'
Suddenly, Lea's thoughts were cut off when Frankenstrike took hold of her left foot and slowly ran his finger up and down the arch.
"EEEK! What are you doing?!" Lea squealed, wanting to bring her foot up but couldn't.
Frankenstrike grinned, as his machine was getting results. "Tickling you," He tickled her foot faster with all his fingers.
"HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! STAHAHAHAHAP! NOT MY FOOHOOHOOHOOHOOT!" Lea laughed immediately. "HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!"
The alien scientist saw the machine receive high ticklish readings. "My! Such laughter!" Frankenstrike decided to use both hands to tickle both of Lea's feet. "Who's got ticklish feet? Who's ticklish on her feet? Hmm?" he teased.
Lea's laughter tripled, her cheeks reddening. "GAAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! MY FEEHEEHEEHEET ARE TOO SENSITIVE! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! HAVE MERCY!"
Much to her relief, Frankenstrike stopped. Exhausted, Lea hung limp in her restraints. As she regained her breath, Frankenstrike strolled over to the side of the table. "Well, according to the sensitivity results, your feet are extremely ticklish," He chuckled. "Once you're fully rested, we'll see if we can find any other tickle spots..."
Lea gulped at that. "Remind me again, what am I supposed to help you out in that requires tickling me?"
"Oh, you'll see soon enough." Frankenstrike lifted Lea's shirt up to expose her stomach. "Tell me, is your belly ticklish?"
"I prefer not saying anything!" Lea instantly responded, still struggling weakly to get out of her restraints.
Frankenstrike laughed, amused by her response. "Just relax. Everyone needs a good laugh!" He gently scratched the surface of Lea's belly with his fingertips. "Coochy, coochy, coochy, coochy, coochy, coooo!"
Lea let out a few giggles from that, stiffening her laughter.
Frankenstrike looked at the screen. "Hmm...are you trying to fight it?" He tickled a little faster.
"Hahahahahaha, ma-maybe?!" Lea responded, unable to hold her smile caused by the tickling.
Frankenstrike just smiled at her feeble attempt to resist. "Don't fight it! Just loosen up!" He tickled her full blast with all his fingers. "Tickle, tickle, tickle! Does Wea have a tickwish tum-tum?" he cooed with baby talk.
"HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! COME ON! THAHAHAHAHAHAHAT'S CHEATING!" Lea finally laughed.
"Cheating? I'm not cheating," Frankenstrike replied innocently, as he continued to tickle.
"YEHEHEHEHEHES YOU AHAHAHAHAHARE! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!"
"No, I'm not!" Frankenstrike retorted in a singsong voice. "Say I'm not cheating and I'll stop tickling your tummy!"
Lea was in too much ticklish agony to argue. "OKAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAY! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA, YOU'RE NOHOHOHOHOT CHEATING! AHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!"
As promised, Frankenstrike stopped. "Yes, we're getting excellent results! Better than I expected!" He walked up to the top of the table and looked down at Lea, grinning. "So, how do you feel?"
"Well...besides losing breath...I'm glad about not being tormented horribly," Lea responded, taking a few deep breathes. "I've had that problem once, but that's about it. The rest were just harmless. Not as different as your methods, though."
Frankenstrike let Lea rest for a few more minutes. The girl finally regained her breath. "Can you let me go now?" she asked.
"Nope, there's still one more spot..."
"One more spot? What are you-?" Lea paused in realization. "Oh, no. No, no, no, no, no! Don't even think about!"
Frankenstrike wiggled his fingers just above her armpits. "Sorry, but for this project to work, I need to cover this spot as well." He softly tickled the hollows of her armpits. "Tickle, tickle, tickle, tickle..."
Lea could only hold her laughter for less than a few seconds. "HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! NOHOHOHOHOHO! NAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAT THERE! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!"
The machine received high readings. "Well, looks like I found a major tickle spot!" Frankenstrike tickled Lea's armpits even faster. "Hmm? Does that tickle? Are you ticklish there?" he teased.
"YEHEHEHEHEHEHEHEHES! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! THIS TIHIHIHIHIHIHIHIHIHIHIHICKLES AS BAHAHAHAD AS MY FEEHEEHEEHEEHEEHEET!" Lea laughed so hard.
"Wonderful!" Frankenstrike stopped tickling. "You may rest now while I check the results." He went to his machine while Lea laid helpless on the torture table.
"This...is getting...hard," Lea gasped her breath in exhaustion.
Just then, she noticed a familiar little friend climbing up the table. It was her childhood friend, Nightlight.
"Nightlight!" Lea replied happily, quickly lowering her voice in hopes Frankenstrike didn't hear that. "Perfect time, buddy. See if you can cut the restraints with your dagger staff."
Nightlight raised his staff to free Lea, but he was caught by a giant hand.
"NOOO!" Lea shouted.
"Ah, ah, ah. I still need this girl for my experiment." Frankenstrike took a nearby jar and put Nightlight inside. He went to an empty supply closet and put the trapped puppet inside, shutting the door and locking it.
"You better not try to hurt him after this!" Lea responded, glaring hard while using all her strength to break out of her restraints.
"Save your strength," Frankenstrike said. "Even I couldn't break those restraints."
But Lea didn't listen. She struggled and strained, desperate to get out of this tickle prison. Frankenstrike sighed, he decided to let the girl tire herself out. It didn't take long because all the tickling weakened Lea greatly. She was too tired to speak.
Frankenstrike pushed a button on a small remote control. The table slowly moved until it was upright. The alien went to his desk and grabbed a glass of light blue liquid. He held Lea's chin to bring her head up before putting the glass to her lips.
Lea couldn't fight back, as she was forced to drink the strange concoction. Once all of it was swallowed, Lea felt a strange tingle course from her feet to her head. Her head shot up; her eyes were wide with alarm. She wasn't tired anymore! Her energy was back!
"Huh?! What just happened?" Lea questioned.
Frankenstrike ruffled Lea's hair. "Just a formula I made to regain your strength," Lea saw him smile. "I wasn't going to let you get all tuckered out now."
"Wow...Just like Jocu's recovery venom," Lea noted, a bit impressed. "So, what exactly were you preparing me for? What was it that you needed my help with in the first place?"
Frankenstrike looked over his notes. "I just wanted to see how ticklish you were in those three places. Usually, Rachel or Sasha help me with experiments like this. Since they're not here, I decided to work with you. And thankfully, you're just as ticklish as them! You'll be perfect for the real experiment!"
"Again, I ask this same question since the very beginning, what exactly is this real experiment you have planned for me?" Lea questioned, worrying a little and getting tired of not getting the answer sooner. "And please tell me you don't plan on hurting Nightlight."
"Don't worry. I promise Nightlight will be fine," said Frankenstrike. "I just had to keep him out of the way. I'll free him once we're done. Now, this is the real experiment."
Frankenstrike pressed another button on his remote control and a single light turned on a chair that was located on the other side of the lab.
Lea turned her head to the right. "A... a chair?"
"Not just any chair." Frankenstrike freed Lea from the table. But held onto her and carried the girl right to the chair. He gently sat Lea down and brought her arms up, using the chair's straps to keep them up. He also strapped her ankles to the chair.
"Uh, Frankenstrike?" Lea responded, not liking where this is heading.
Frankenstrike didn't respond. He pushed another button and a strange device that resembled a megaphone was lowered just above Lea's head.
Lea looked up at the odd thing in confusion. "What's that for?!"
"To collect your laughter," said Frankenstrike. "This machine will tickle you and collect your laughter, then turn it into a chemical."
"Collect my what to do what?!" Lea exclaimed, eyes wide in slight terror.
"They say laughter is the best medicine. So, I figured, why not turn laughter into a chemical and study it's scientific properties?" Frankenstrike pressed another button and three pairs of mechanical hands came out of the chair. Each pair was for her feet, stomach, and armpits. Lea swallowed when she realized the hands were covered with pink fluff. Lea knew it was going to tickle badly.
"Oh, frost," Lea muttered.
"Let the tickling commence!" Frankenstrike pressed the button that Lea feared the most. The hands got to work and tickled Lea in all three of her tickle spots at once!
"GAAAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! WHY MEHEHEHEHEHEHEHEHEHEHEHE?! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!" Lea's laughter quadrupled, her cheeks slowly flushing hard.
The poor blonde teen could feel those soft, evil hands invading the hollows of her underarms, the soles of her feet, and the flatness of her midriff. All she could do was nothing but laugh with ticklish tears flooding down her face.
As Lea was being tickled, the machine was collecting her laughter. Her laughter went through the machine and it came out as a pink liquid! It peeked through a series of beakers and poured into a small glass.
"Excellent!" Frankenstrike turned off the machine.
Lea let out a few more giggles from the tickling sensation lingering insider her body before taking long deep breathes.
"Now that's what I call a success!" Frankenstrike put a cork into test tube of liquid laughter. "This test tube alone will open many doors to my scientific achievements! Thank you, Lea!"
"No... problem," Lea sighed heavily. "Can you...let me...go now, please?"
"In a minute," Frankenstrike brought out another glass of the light blue liquid Lea had before. "Let's give you a glass of this first."
Lea didn't hesitate. She opened her mouth and Frankenstrike helped her drink the whole formula. Within seconds, Lea's strength was back. She even felt him dry her tears on her cheeks with his massive fingers carefully.
"Thanks. I helped you out with your project, as promised," Lea responded. "Is that everything?"
Frankenstrike smiled. "Almost," He released Lea from the chair, then went to the supply cabinet. He unlocked it and took the jar containing Nightlight. He opened the jar and returned the living puppet to his beloved friend.
"Nightlight, you're okay," Lea replied lovingly, hugging her childhood friend sweetly with Nightlight doing the same.
Frankenstrike ruffled her hair. "Thank you for volunteering, Lea," Sadness came upon his face. "Are you mad?"
"Mad?" Lea questioned in confusion. "Why would I be mad?"
Frankenstrike blinked. "So... you're okay that I tickled the bejeebers out of you for my experiment?"
"Frankenstrike, I have had worst tortures than this and one of them involved a psychotic ghost knight who wanted to literally scare me to death while threatening to destroy Nightlight," Lea responded. "Your intentions were nothing like his. You even gave Nightlight back unharmed, just as you promised."
Smiling, Frankenstrike gave the girl a hug. "Thanks for understanding. You're a real good kid."
"Thanks. Hope my laughter was enough to help you out in something beneficial for the future," Lea replied.
"Indeed, it will! How can I ever repay you?"
"There's no need for repaying anything, really. You already helped me get rid of my hiccups when I first got here and I helped return the favor with this experiment," Lea reminded. "It's just something friends would do to help others."
"That's sweet of you to say so," said a familiar voice. Lea looked over to the doorway and saw Rachel and Sasha Jocklin. Rachel smiled. "But the least we can do is treat you to a nice, home cooked meal? You are a guest."
"Well, I guess that makes sense. Thanks, Rachel," Lea said with a smile.
And with that, Lea and Nightlight joined their friends for dinner. Despite all she went through, Lea had fun, because she knew from the beginning that she was among friends.
