"How do we know he is not leading us to our deaths?!" Asks the towns person clad in dirty robes. The congregation of Telmeraines cheers in agreement not quite sure if they should trust Aslan.

"Sire, if my example can be of any service, I will take eleven mice though with no delay." Reepicheep quips bravely attempting to settle the crowd

Peter steps forward before Reepicheep can go though with his plan.

"We‟ll go"

"We will?"

"Come on. Our time‟s up."

Peter sighs and slowly walks over to Caspian to offer his sword.

"After all, we‟re not really needed here anymore." Peter says handing the new Narnia King the old sword, Caspian takes it and bows slightly

"I will look after it until your return." He says with a smile at Susan whom he has grown to love.

"I‟m afraid that‟s just it. ... We‟re not coming back. " Susan says sadly tears beginning to prick at her eyes

"We‟re not?" Lucy asks surprised and almost horrified.

"You two are."

Peter looks at Aslan, the great lion sighs

"At least, I think he means you to." The high king elaborates.

Lucy approaches the lion sadly

"But why? Did they do something wrong?"

"Quite the opposite, dear one. But all things have their time. Your brother and sister have learned what they can from this world. Now it‟s time for them to live in their own."

"It‟s alright, Lu. It‟s not how I thought it would be, but it‟s alright. One day you‟ll see too. Come on." Peter says and he begins to say his goodbyes.

Peter shakes Glenstorm's hand. Edmund, Lucy, Trumpkin, and Cornelius bow. Lucy curtsies to Trumpkin and he nods. Susan walks up to Caspian.

"I‟m glad I came back." She says looking into his dark almost black eyes.

"I wish we had more time together." He says

Involuntary a single tear runs down Susan's face.

"I'm going to miss you"

"As will I you"

Susan walks away, and then turns back. She runs into his arms and they both seem to have the same agenda, their lips meet in a soft yet heartbreaking kiss. Their lips part and they embrace, he nestles his head against her neck and drinks in her scent never wanting to forget it. She does the same.

Then as quickly as it all happened Susan turns to face her siblings and walks away quiet tears streaming down her face.

The two look at Aslan simultaneously with pleading eyes. The great lion sighs in understanding and turns to Susan.

"It is entirely your choice, I recognize that you wish to stay and therefore it is your choice, you will see your younger siblings again"

Susan's heart slips a beat, quite literally. She doesn't need to tell anyone her choice Lucy already knows.

"I'll miss you" the younger girl says hugging her sister. Edmund and Peter join the Embrace and bid farewell to the dark haired Queen of Old.

Whilst Edmund, Susan and Lucy are saying goodbye Peter takes the opportunity to approach Caspian.

"Take care of her"

"I will, until my dying day"

"I trust you"

Peter says no more and turns back to his brother and sisters. He pulls Susan into a hug.

"Goodbye, I hope we will see each other again"

Susan once again hugs her youngest sister and then turns back to Caspian. He puts his arm around her waist, she smiles.

"I‟m sure when I‟m older I‟ll understand." Lucy says

"I‟m older and don‟t think I want to understand." Edmund counters and the siblings minus there sister walk through the Gnarled tree to their home.
