"Kagome" a voice calls out to her.

"Who are you?"

"It is I Midoriko, I am talking to you in your mind because the Shikon has now merged completely with your body"

"What do you mean?"

"Before your body was just a container, now the shikon is your body and your body is the shikon. This will unlock that which was dormant"

"What will it unlock?"

"It will unlock you nature sprite genes making it so that you are not human, and it will unlock your instincts and full miko power"

"I'm not human?"

"No dear, you are a certain type of nymph"

"What will happen now"

"You will find a family that wants you"

I was walking in the trees when I see something. It is a blanket wrapped around something. It is moving. I walk over to it quickly.

Inside is a young child. She's naked. She looks as if she has been starved and a circle shape cut in her side. It is deep. She goes still.

I have to get her to the doctor. I pick her up carefully before walking to my car. I'll take her to Graysons, he's the best doctor in town.

I drive there quickly. When I get there I race inside. Grayson is in the waiting room talking to a patient. He looks up and sees me.

"Zach what's wrong" he then sees the bundle in my arms "what have you got there?"

"I found her in the woods she has a wound on her side and looks to be starved"

"Come with me" Grayson says before walking through to the treatment room "put her on the bed"

After I put her on the bed Grayson unwraps the blanket from around her. He immediately starts to work on her side, stiching it up. He gives her numerous injections. Her eyes flutter open.

I gasp seeing lavender coloured eyes. Grayson starts examining her eyes. Moving his hand above her face to see if her eyes follow.

"We need to call Liz she shows signs of abuse, or at least neglect"

"Who will look after her?"

"I will I'm sure Miranda wouldn't mind another one to look after"

"But you already have Jeremy and Elana?"

"Yes, but Miranda won't be able to get pregnant again"

The girl has gone stiff on the table. She starts to speak.

"Dada"

"It's okay, little one what's your name" says Grayson.

She looks confused for a minute for a second before answering.

"Kagome"

"Well Kagome where are you from, where are your parents"

"I'm from Tokyo, my Dada is dead and my Mama doesn't want me anymore"

"Okay well I'm going to call a nice lady to come talk to you, you lay there and talk to Zach"

"Can I sleep?"

"Yes until the lady gets here you can"

She closes her eyes and falls back to sleep.

"Zach you keep an eye on her while I call Liz"

Grayson walks out of the room and calls Lizs number on the phone.

"Hello Liz Forbes speaking"

"Liz, I've got a young girl at the clinic she show signs of abuse and neglect. Zach says he found her in the woods. please can you come and help take care of it"

"Of course, I'll be over in five minutes"

Grayson waits for Liz to arrive in the waiting room. When she arrives he leads her through to the treatment room. Apparently the door opening wakes the girl because when we look to her we see wide lavender eyes.

"Hello Kagome this lady is going to ask you some questions" Grayson says.

"Hello Kagome my names Liz, can you tell us your birth date"

"March 12 1993"

"So you're three then" Kagome nods. "Where are your parents"

"Dada's dead and mama doesn't want me"

"Did she hurt you"

"No but she left me in the wood"

"Liz I think that I should take care of her for a while and see how that goes"

"You're thinking about adopting her"

"I see nothing wrong with that you can have a trial week"

"Thanks Liz"

"Kagome how would you feel about living with me"

"That would be fun, what's your name"

"Grayson Gilbert"
