"Urrrrrghh." What the hell happened to me? "Man, my head's killing me." I slowly worked my way up to a hunched over sitting position, grasping my head with my right hand, I opened my eyes but all I saw was a blurry mess, "Geez, how long was I out?" I closed my eyes and rubbed to to get rid of the blurriness.
That's when I felt a strong breeze of wind, and the smell of grassy plains, and the crispness of freshly fallen leaves, "... I don't remember falling asleep outside, I don't even remember leaving my computer." I took my hands away from my eyes slowly, and felt around for my bed, but all I felt were many blades of soft grass.
My eyes shot open, and my body bolted to a standing position, now fully awake and alert, I finally took in my surroundings for the first time since I woke up, my eyes widened. "W-what the, this, th-this isn't my room…" I saw beautiful mounds of hills, with big oak trees spaced around, sometimes grouped together, and in the greater distance I saw huge beautiful mountains, some high in the clouds. Looking closer there was even some small ponds, and a big gorgeous shimmering lake too. Even the sun was glowing a vibrant golden yellow, that was ones for me the biggest issue. One, why is the sun not blinding me, and two, "Why is everything made out of blocks?!" I shouted into the sky, almost kind of hoping someone would hear me, but, no response from anyone.
As soon as I said that however, some weird kind of menu popped up, but something about it seemed familiar, in the menu there was a blank piece of paper, I hesitated for a moment, but when I hovered my hand above it, there was a little bit of text that popped into existence, "Blank Map piece zero… yeah, that's helpful." Looking more into the menu I noticed that there was a part that showed me in an idle stance, my eyes twitched, "yeah, not creepy at all."
But aside from that, it showed what I'll summarize as inventory slots on my person, for my hands, my torso, pockets, head, shoes, pretty much the average RPG inventory setup for your avatar, but in one of my pockets was my phone, I checked in my pocket and low and behold, my phone! Unfortunately, no service on it.
"Well that sucks, whatever, I bet that this is some kinda weird dream, a dream about being in a probably extremely modded version of minecraft, so calling someone would be pointless, yeah, what else could be happening other than I'm dreaming."
Little did I, Dylan Rayson, 6"3', 20 year old, programmer, game modder, and artist, single man, realize, that I was somehow, not dreaming at all, and when I woke up, I'd still be here, in my highly modded minecraft world.
'Well, I might as well play along with this dream and find my way around here, and when I wake up, I'll be in front of my computer, fave on my keyboard, drooling… yeah." Without further delay I tapped on the 'Blank Map' in my inventory, and I put it in my hand, after an odd sensation filled me it fazed into existence in my hand.
"That was, different, but dreams are filled with all kinds of different feelings, so nothing to worry about." I reassured myself.
When I looked down at the map, suddenly lying, it wasn't a blank map anymore, it showed the immediate surrounding area, probably a 200 meter radius from my position in a full 360 degree circle, in the top right corner it said 'Plains', "Well, I guess this is as good a start as any." I felt another strong breeze of wind, filling my sense of smell with that same sensation of grassy plains, "Pretty realistic dream though."
With no path to follow I began my trek through these blocky grassy plains, I looked down and noticed there were a few smaller blocks, "Oh yeah, I added the mod where you have to start from smaller tools, and work your way up, weird why thay mod aspect would make it into my dream." I decided to pick up said stone and continued on my way.
I looked up at the sky and noticed that unlike a usual minecraft game, the sun wasn't moving at it's usual rapid pace, "I guess even the realistic time mod i installed made it into my dream as well, still, I'd better find a way to build a house or find some shelter soon," looking at the small stone I had picked up, I decided to try and make myself some basic tools, but first, I needed some sticks, time to get rock and rollin'.
I dug my phone out of my pocket and pulled out my phone, somehow it's battery was fully charged, whatever, I decided to scroll through my phone, hoping that my songs were also transferred into my dream, thankfully, they were, tapping on a song, I got started on making my tools.
? Perspective
"Huaaah, such a beautiful day today!" I stated to no one in particular, other then my overprotective older sister.
"Slow it down Cupa, don't get too overexcited or you'll blow your top off, again." I looked back over to my sister pouting, she stood way taller than me at 6"1', a lot of other mobs sometimes mistake her for being my mom.
"Geez, you always worry too much Culipa, I learned my lesson from last time!" She had an amusing smirk on her face after I said that.
"That's exactly what you said, the last 'five' times." I felt as if an arrow plunged my being, I slumped over, fake wounded.
"Ohh, how your words wound me so, my dear sister!" I dramatically grasped my hand over one of my two hearts.
Hi! My name's Cupa! Cupa of the creeper clan, 5"4'm 15 years old, and I thought that today I could go to my favorite resting spot and just laze about like I normally do, but little did I know, that going there, was going to change my life.
"Yeah, yeah, you've survived through worse now let's get goin ya goofball." She playfully ruffled my orange hair, making my hood go down, letting my hair spill out to its full length, down to my mid back. She then gave me a warm smile, like how mom used to give us when we were little, "You really should let your hair down more often, you look more adorable that way." I looked down and blushed in embarrassment, I've been told by many of my friends that I had gorgeous hair, but hearing it from my sister, it always made me flustered.
"Mmmm, I could say the same thing to you! Your hair is so beautiful, why don't you let it out more often?" I asked sincerely, her hair was so gorgeous, her hair is extremely unique, and the most rare amongst the creeper clan, while mine is pretty rare, hers was even more so.
"Hehe, well you got me there, it wouldn't be fair for me to let my little sister have her hair out alone." She lowered her hood off her head and let her blueish silver hair flow out like a cascading waterfall all the way down to her waist, her hair shimmered and flowed in the wind like the raging rapids of a river, yes, my sister, whilst one of the most gorgeous amongst all of the creeper clan.
She is also the most dangerous and skilled in fighting, while the creeper clan isn't known for its combat prowess, Culipa is an extreme exception, even compared to some of the stronger mob clans she can rival them in sheer power and strength, she's a true prodigy.
"Oi." I hadn't realized I had zoned out until there was a hand right in front of my face.
"Ow!" I rubbed the part of my head where I got flicked, I looked back at her with a pout.
"Quit dozing off, let's get going." She said with her confident posture, sometimes I wonder, if she ever even gets scared, probably not, she's Culipa after all!
"Hold on!" I jumped as she put out a hand stopping me from continuing on our usual path.
"What is i-"
"Shh," her gaze turned intense, and too did the atmosphere around us, she grabbed my hand and pulled me to behind a tree.
I whispered this time as quietly as I could, '"What is it?"' Her gaze was set toward something in the distance, I looked toward where her gaze was set, past one of the hills, was a silhouette of someone, nobody I recognized though. Another thing is that they were building some kind of structure, near our usual spot!
'"I'm not sure, but stay here, I'll take care of this." She gave me a confident grin, and I nodded, knowing that no one could best my sister in combat.
Little did I know, that I was in for the surprise of my life.
Dylan's Perspective
"Ahh, there's the most basic bones of it, kind of regretting installing the complex structures mod, now I need to make sure that is has the proper support beams before even thinking of putting in walls, let alone rooms." But the added bonus of it is that I can make something more akin to a cottage rather than a basic blocky house like the base game usually allows.
I wiped off the sweat off my forehead, 'Man, I'm sure glad I decided to work out before this, otherwise I'd have been worn out hours ago, I wouldn't even be half finished with these structural beam, just collecting the necessary resources would have drained me.
"Even though this is a dream, I still can't help but replant the trees I cut down, I like nature too much." Where I had decided to build my cottage to be, was near the beautiful lake I'd found on my map, it took a bit of walking, but it was worth it, the sight is beautiful, and something about the atmosphere just made one relaxed.
"Oi, what do you think you're doing in our spot?" My body tensed and my mind was on overdrive.
I jumped back and took a combat stance that I don't remember ever learning about.
"Hoohh? You're not as dumb as you look, keeping on guard like that, especially with me, not that it'll do you any good." The sight that I saw was the most breathtaking sight I'd ever seen, she was the most beautiful woman I'd ever seen, her hair glimmered almost the same as the lake, she was even almost as tall as me, and her posture just leaked confidence, but the atmosphere became tense the most she announced herself.
'She's dangerous, I can't afford to let my guard down, even if this is a dream.'
"Hey, sorry for being rude, and not introducing myself, I'm Dylan, Dylan Rayson," I stated, not once letting my guard down, staying in that same combat stance.
"Two names, I knew that you reaked of a human smell, but you're definitely one of the more polite ones though, and your shape is vastly different too, just for being polite I'll give you a chance, leave now, or be blown away by me." My eyes narrowed, her gaze felt even more intense, but I didn't budge and inch, she's definitely not friendly. *sighs* "I gave you a chance."
With that she blasted toward in my direction, *Fwoosh!* I narrowly avoided her strike and twisted my body in the direction I dodged and used my momentum to carry out my own counter flip kick to her backside, she definitely hadn't expected me to react so quickly, neither did I, my kick sent her face first a few feet away, I grimaced, I know how a mouth full of dirt feels and tastes like, not good.
I looked down at my posture and my movements, "Huh, enhanced combat and martial arts mod, I forgot I installed that one, seemed unnecessary at the time, but given the situation, I'm glad I have it." When I looked back my fave heated up immensely, she was recovering but I'd seen something I never should have without one's consent. "S-sorry!"
"Grrr, you'd better be, that was surprising but don't think I'll be caught off guard agai-"
"N-not that! I-I saw, I s-saw, y-your, under your," I postured to her lower half, and her face began to fill up with the color red, and her face began to go from enraged, to embarrassed, immediately to wrathful, uh ohh.
"I'll kill you for that, prepare to die you insignificant worm!" She charged at me I simply used her momentum and flipped over her backside and pushed off her back which sent her flying towards a tree, *Krackem!* I began to feel bad, I'm really not doing this on purpose, probably something I should look into before this dream is over.
"A-are you oka-" she jolted back up and began charging at me with wild abandon, I'll take that as she's fine.
"Stop!" *Swipe!* "Dodging!" *Swish!* I dodged again, but the more I dodged the more enraged she became, at this rate I'll never get through to her, I guess I need to start fighting back.
*Kurthump!* I caught her fist, somehow, "Fine, I'll stop dodging." Her eyes widened, I pulled her fist down and flipped upwards and brought my leg down unto her head in a powerful and speedy motion. *Krakapow!*
I back flipped back a few feet in case that wasn't enough, but thankfully she seemed to be out for the count, and with that, I held the hand that I caught her fist with, "Ow, ow OWOWOWOOWW!" That hurt so bad! I'm so glad I didn't let her punch me, just one might have finished me, or woken me up, hmm, maybe I should have let her hit me.
"-eave! *huff* her! *huff* Alooooone!" I looked over to see a young teenage girl, she looked to be out of breath, and looked to have tripped on her way here, 's-so cute!' The newcomer dragged herself to the one that attacked me, still out of breath.
She hunch over trying to catch her breath, almost looking like she was about to throw up. "Uhh, are you alright?" I asked very concerned for her.
"I'm *huff* fine *huff* grrk! I mean! Leave my sister alone!" She went from relaxed to a scared protective on a dime.
"Uhh, I never planned on doing anything to her, so don't worry." I patted her on the head in the same way my parents used to do for me, thankfully she seemed to calm down. "By the way, I'm sorry for knocking your sister out, and I'm guessing by what she said earlier that this is your usual hang out spot, I'm sorry for not taking that into consideration, my name's Dylan, Dylan Rayson." I crouched down and held out my hand.
Cupa's Perspective
He's a human?! How did a human manage to overpower my sister?! No, from what I saw he didn't overpower her, he just out maneuvered her. But, for a human he's so nice.
I looked at his hand for a few moments, and hesitantly shook it with my own "M-my name's Cupa, a-and she's m-my sister Culipa."
Dylan's Perspective
'SO CUUUUUTE!' I smiled at how adorable she was, she's quite the stark contrast compared to her sister.
"Well, I'm very sorry for intruding on your spot, it's just so beautiful and relaxing, I thought I could make myself a cottage here." when I said that last part Cupa looked at me with a confused stare.
"Cottage? Ohh! You must mean a house! That's a weird name to call a house if I say so myself!" I laughed lightly at how quickly her demeanor changed.
"Well sort of, but also no, I can show you the plans o drew up, it isn't the final product, but it'll at least give you an idea on how it'll turn out." She just seemed even more confused.
"Uhh, huh." She tried acting like she understood but she absolutely did not.
"Ehehe, let me just show you, we have plenty of time, but I was hoping to at least get a few rooms and some of the roof built so I at least had somewhere to sleep tonight." And hopefully wake up from this weird dream.
8 hours later, Culipa's Perspective
My head's killing me, I worked myself to an upright sitting position, and brought my left hand to the back of my head, through my soft curly silver hair, I felt a bandage wrapped around my head, "What happened?" When I decided to take in my surroundings I noticed that I was in some kind of room, a very nice room at that, with object I'd never seen before, *snoar* my eye twitched, I recognized that sound, I looked over to my right and saw my little sister snoozing away without a care in the world.
I decided to get up only to realize how soft and comfy this thing I was sitting on was, I've never felt such comfort before, it looked like a bed, only, very, very different, so too did the bed that my sister was sleeping in, we've slept in humans beds before, mainly because of the abandoned villages we've been through before, but they weren't nearly as comfortable as these.
I shook myself out of my stupor and noticed I was severely lacking my hoodie, I looked around, for it, only to see right next to me some weird mini structure holding a set of clothes and a neatly folded up note on top.
Deciding I had nothing better to do, and my memory loss on how I got here, I chose to read it "Hey there, sorry for kicking you in the back of the head, I decided to take your hoodie to try and repair it as it seemed very damaged from our fight, in the mean time I made you and your sister a new change of clothes, if you want to not kill me and talk please look for me on the outside, also, I hope you liked the bed."
"Ahh, I remember now, I was going to kick that human out of our spot, but," I looked over to my sister sleeping peacefully, 'she must have been worried about me and rushed over to me, I'm surprised that human didn't kill us.'
*sighs* I ran a hand through my hair and decided to see what this human really wanted.
I'm Culipa, I'm 20 years old, 6"1', and little did I know that this rencounter would change my view on humans, at least this one.
I got out of bed and decided to put on the clothes that he made for me, they felt pretty good, I took of my raggedy black tank top, revealing my D-cup breasts, and put on the newly made shirt, it fit perfectly, and felt amazing, whether it was a coincidence or not he kept it the same black that my old shirt was, "What a strange human, I guess I'll see what he's all about." I then put on the pants that he provided, they also felt amazing, and sturdy too.
After putting on the new set of clothes, I made my way out of the room, leaving my sister to sleep away.
As I made my way out of the room I noticed that the rest of the house looked really nice, there was a bunch of small structure that I didn't recognize at all, but somehow it all just fit in.
Something about this place just feels, I don't know how to describe it, it just felt right.
*Thunk!* "Gaah, damnit!" I felt a drop of exasperated sweat rolling down my head, there goes the serene mood.
I decided to head out and see what that sound was from, when I got outside I saw quite the sight, there he was, the human that managed to best me in a fight, rolling on the ground grasping his head in pain. 'How did I lose to this guy?!'
"O-oh, hey there, how are you feeling? Is your head alright?" I was at a loss for words, he was still grasping his head in pain, and he was concerned for me?! This man truly is a strange human.
"... usually your kind wouldn't hesitate to kill us." I decided to get the main matter out of the way.
"Huh? What are you talkin about?" He got into a sitting upright position, looking at me with nothing but confusion in his eyes, my eyes twitched in aggravation.
"Don't play dumb with me! I've dealt with your kind before!" He just kept looking at me with confusion, it only server to make my rage grow.
"Well, I'm sorry to disappoint, but I have no intention to harm you or your sister, now, I'm really sorry to ask," now it was my turn to be confused, "do you mind helping me carry these planks please? I want to finish up the kitchen, and it'll be dark soon, and I really don't like the dark." I looked up in the sky, and it indeed was about to get dark.
I stared back at him with less anger than I had before, but still weary of him, "Why should I help you, human?" He simply gave me a goofy grin, and rubbed the back of his head.
"Ehehe, well, you don't really have to, I was just asking, you can go back inside if you really want, but I'd really appreciate the help." My eyes widened, I didn't notice before because of my caution over humans, but his eyes betrayed nothing, he was being completely honest with every word he said.
"Tch," I picked up 10 wooden planks, he simply look up at me in confusion, "well? Let's get this 'kitchen' done and over with, and I'm only helping you because you decided to give my sister shelter and a bed." His smile made the tension between us almost dissipate.
"Thank you very much!" He hopped back up on his feet and picked up 3 wooden planks, "This way, I'll show you what to do, and how to help build it."
"Don't tell me what to do, human!" This human, truly is the most strange one I've ever come across.
2 hours later, Dylan's Perspective
I thought that this was a dream, no, I was desperately hoping that it was a dream, but when I smashed my head on a standing post, I realized, the moment I felt pain, this was not a dream.
"Why didn't I memorize all the mods I installed? Of course I didn't need to because why would a situation like this ever come to mind? I'll just have to figure them out as I go along," as I thought back on this whole day, there was one bright side, I met two pretty awesome people today, Cupa the boisterous orange haired girl, and her sister, Culipa the ferocious silver haired woman, but the way they talked made it seem like they aren't really human, especially Culipa, her punch was anything but human, I nearly thought my hand and wrist were broken, I just hope I don't get on her bad side again.
"Talking with Cupa, it felt like I was talking with my little sister again, I really miss her, I miss my whole family." With all this in mind, I decided to drift off to sleep having built half a house, a few rooms, a roof, and some furniture thanks to the advanced furniture mod I installed, and hoping that I made a couple of new friends, well, one friend and a reluctant acquaintance.
And the revelation that all of this is in fact, not a dream, "What the hell do I do knowing that now?"
