A/N: Contains references to horrid crimes, including against children.
He drummed his fingers on the metal table in impatience and irritation. He and his team sergeant have been sitting here fifteen minutes past the agreed meet time.
"Would you relax?" his team sergeant, Master Sergeant Suki Qiumi, asked. "We're supposed to be on a married couple on vacation."
"Right" Sergeant First Class Zuko Kasai said awkwardly. He has been on few dates before back stateside, but he was always awkward during them for whatever reason. Being 'married' to his team sergeant, even if it was only a cover, only made him more awkward than usually.
Their contact was a Central Intelligence Agency office by the name of David Skies. Zuko doubted it was his real name; spooks always loved lying to people.
Originally their team, Operation Detachment Alpha 1211, was training a company of the Philippines' Special Forces Regiment. But intelligence has surface that several members were involved with the drug trade in the country. And often if one was involved with the drug trade, it also means they are involved with other humanitarian crimes such as sex slaving and child pornography.
After multiple deployments in Afghanistan and other hotspots around the world, Zuko had a deep burning hatred for those kinds of people.
After another five minutes, their contact showed up.
"Sorry I'm really late" David said. "Traffic was far worse than I thought."
"Then you should've counted for that" Zuko grunted.
"I did" David said. Zuko shook his head.
"What do you have for us?" Suki asked before sipping her tea. While they were briefed not to drink the local water, anything out of a restaurant or shop was acceptable as long it was boiled beforehand like their tea.
David pulled a folded up newspaper out of his shopping bag. "Here's tomorrow's news, along with pictures and everything. I hope it'll help you with publishing your own article on CNN." David's cover was serving as an advisor to the local police from the New York City Police Department. He slid the newspaper towards Suki, who casually looked at the front page. She slid a few fingers between the pages to confirm that the envelope with their intelligence was inside it before placing it in her own shopping bag.
"Thank you" she said with a smile. "I'll read it later."
"You're welcome" David said with a smile. "Now how are the kids? Doing good I hope?"
"They're doing just fine" Suki said. The 'kids' they were referring to were the soldiers they were training.
"Though they can be bad little kids, but that's not surprising" Zuko added, referring to the ones who were corrupted.
"I bet" David replied.
The three of them made casual conversation for the next half hour, making it look like they were old friends catching up.
"Thanks again for the news" Suki said as they departed the teashop.
"Not a problem" David said with a smile. "Hope everything works out for you."
"Hopefully" Zuko said as Suki placed her arm around his. They parted ways with David and made their way down the block to their rental car. They got in and began their long drive back to their rendezvous point with the rest of their team.
The traffic going in and out of the capital city was heavy as expected, but as they moved onto the country roads, Zuko noticed that a pickup truck appeared to be following them.
"See that pickup?" he said. "It's been following us for a while."
"Could be farmers picking up supplies from the city" Suki said with optimism, though she also can see that it looked like the truck was following them.
"I doubt it" Zuko grunted before starting to drive like an idiot. He sped up and slowed down randomly and when he came to a turn, he would signal one way than turn the other.
Sure enough, the truck maintain distance and took every turn they took.
"They're definitely tailing us" Zuko said.
Suki bit her lip, thinking of a way to resolve this situation without it turning violent.
A dangerous idea came to mind, but it was possible that it will work.
"Take the next left" she said.
"What?" Zuko said in confusion. "That road leads to a dead end in an open area."
"I know but that area is often used…" Suki said before hesitating. She feared that Zuko would not go for this idea, but he never disobeyed her. Surely he will follow her lead.
"Used for what?" he asked.
"For romantic evenings in or on a car" she said sheepishly.
He looked at her briefly in shock before looking at the road again. Sure it was a stupid idea for a lot of reasons, but if they wanted to get out of this alive he will have to go with it.
"Okay honey," he finally said, "let's have a nice evening."
Suki smiled in relief, but also with a bit of excitement. She always concerned Zuko rather handsome, even with the burn to left side of his face. But being on the same team would cause problems if they had a relationship beyond professional and being only friends.
But one slip up would not hurt them she reasoned. Or so she hoped.
Zuko sped down the road, making it look like it was out of excitement for being a naughty couple. He parked the car and both he and Suki climbed into the back seat.
He hesitated, reconsidering their cover. He seriously thought that it would be better just to shot their way out rather than making out.
But he was not in charge, as Suki reminded him when she stated kissing him heavily. Zuko returned it with eagerness, not after going so long without a woman in his arms.
As they made out, Suki started to get a bit carried away and undid Zuko's belt. He gasped in shock.
"What-what are you doing?"
"We have to make this look real" she said.
She pulled his cock out and began stroking it, getting it harder by the second. Both their hearts began betting faster by the second.
But their hearts almost burst out of their chests when a loud knock was heard on their window. Thinking it was whoever was in the truck Zuko prepared to grab his M11 pistol that was between his back and the seat.
Suki rolled down the window after covering Zuko's groin with a blanket. She sheepishly smiled at the man who knocked.
The man looked at them in confusion. "What are you two doing here?" he asked in perfect English. Zuko and Suki looked at the man in shock, for he looked very much like a native but spoke with an American accent.
"Uh, what does it look like?" Suki said casually. "We're on vacation!"
The man leaned in closer and whispered, "Yeah, right Sergeants Qiumi and Kasai."
Both Suki's and Zuko's eyes shot wide open at that man's knowledge of who they were.
"Who the fuck are you?" Zuko growled before pulling his M11 out and pointing it at the man, who did not react at all to having a weapon pointed at him.
"I'm Agent Sandoval of the DEA" he said. "What were you doing with Officer Skies?"
Zuko and Suki glanced at each other. They did not understand why a DEA undercover was tailing them and now confronted them.
"He handed us some intel about…" Suki began before hesitating.
"About the soldiers who are involved with the drug trade" Zuko finished. He kept his sidearm pointed at Sandoval, not sure if he was dirty or Skies was.
Sandoval remained stoic. "That intel is probably bogus" he said. Both Suki and Zuko got angry that a CIA officer was a potential bad guy.
"So what's the real story?" Zuko demanded.
"The real story is that he's involved with the drug trade" Sandoval explained. "He's allowing drugs to be traded in exchange for intel on terrorist groups in the country."
Both Zuko and Suki flashed faces of rage, believing that allowing one evil to run repent to stop another was seriously fucked up for a few million reasons.
"Fucking great" Zuko spat.
"I can agree with that" Sandoval said. "But your team can't use any outside sources to find the soldiers responsible. You'll have to figure it out yourselves."
"That'll take a while" Suki said in frustration.
"Very true, but he's some intel you can use" Sandoval said. "Corruption spreads easier with gravity." He nodded before walking back to his truck. It took off and soon Suki and Zuko were left wondering what he meant.
"Corruption spread easier with gravity" Zuko repeated. Suki was also wondering what it meant but they soon realized what it was.
The company commander of the Philippine company was corrupted.
"That son of a bitch…" Suki said in anger.
"Yeah" Zuko agreed. He felt rage boiling through him. The idea that a respected officer in any special forces unit would be involved with such a lowly business.
"What are we going to do?" he asked his team sergeant.
"I don't know" she replied. "I'm too angry to think straight."
"Same here" he said. He had an idea how they could release that anger, but it was no longer required for their cover.
"I may have an idea how we can deal with that frustration…" he said bashfully.
"Yeah?" she said.
"We can finish what we started here…"
He braced himself for an ass chewing of a lifetime. If Suki really wanted to, she can have him busted in rank, have his Green Beret taken away or really fuck up his life by filing a sexual harassment complaint.
"Absolutely we can" she said with a gleeful smile to his surprise. "Just one thing…"
He raised his eyebrow in curiosity.
"Don't tell the team" she said before aggressively kissing him, to which he returned with fervor, beginning a night to relieve all the stress of day's events.
