"These shoes are not made for walking." Kagome grumbled. It was chilly for Vegas. She pulled her faux fur tighter around her shoulders. She should've just splurged on the Uber. These heels were gorgeous and her legs looked killer, but she was starting to feel it in the knee. "Oh thank God."

Her sigh of relief carried her into the building. She pulled with all her might on the solid glass door. Tiled floors and tall ceilings met her gaze. The venetian art and the gold trimmings comforted her. She strutted through the entrance and toward the elevators.

The casino was located in the middle of the building. The ride was less than 10 seconds. When the door opened she made it through coat check, greeting the red headed boy with the adorable freckles. He was just a kid without a chance in hell, but he was sweet. Always gave her her coat ticket for free, even though she could more than afford it. Kagome always gave him her softest smile and a nice tip when she passed.

"Good evening Shippou." Her voice light and her eyes bright.

"K-Kagome! Looking beautiful as usual." She giggled and his cherry tinted cheeks, grew hotter still.

"Thank you Shippou, have a good night." He nodded vigorously and scurried to put away her things. Her steps fell silent over the carpeted floors. Her cocktail dress clung to her seamlessly. The satin finish looked delicate against her skin, catching the light and giving her an hour glass figure. She made her way slowly to the bar, taking in the scene. She ordered her usual drink as she sat down.

It was only when her glass sat in front of her, did she feel the eyes at the back her head. She dared not turn around, but her eyes shifted. She took a sip of her tequila soda and only allowed a hint of a smile to grace her. With the grace and seduction of a geisha, Kagome moved her obsidian to one shoulder. Every movement was calculated as she expertly pulled up her hair.

It was quick and casual, but not too quick. He always hated it when she moved too fast. He also hated when she wore her hair down.

"Is this seat taken?" Before she could properly answer, the stool beside her became occupied. The man ordered a drink for himself, an old fashioned from the looks of it. She started from the feet. Took in the quality Italian leather shoes, the dark Armani socks. She could tell just from the pants, the suit was tailored. Made specifically for his body.

"It is now I suppose." Her tone was sweet and subdued, but her eyes were sharp. They continued to drink him in. Roaming from his broad shoulders, to the raven hair that cascaded down his back longer than hers. It wasn't his strong jaw or rough hands that drew her in, but his eyes. They were deep, warm, like charcoal. She could sense something thrumming in those eyes. When they descended on her and made contact she felt like a mouse, trying to scurry away before the eagle came soaring from the sky to claim it's prey. She looked away, blushing madly. Her feet had become quite interesting, but the sound his stool scraping against the floor and moving closer pulled her gaze.

"You know, I hate to be that guy, but have we met before?" His voice sent shivers down her spine.

"No, I don't believe we have," She held out her manicured hand to him, "I'm Kagome."

He brought her soft hand to his lips, his eyes never leaving hers. "Inuyasha." She gave him a smile, one that she'd perfected over the years. The one that never failed to bring a man to his knees. There it was again, that look in his eye.

Predator vs. Prey.

Kagome wasn't sure which role she had taken on. Or which one she wanted to be.

"I'm feeling lucky tonight." She said suddenly, her new companion giving her a curious look. "Why don't you say we take a chance? Roll the dice?" The young beauty downed the last of her drink and stood from her chair. Walking up to the handsome stranger, her hips found solace between his parted thighs. Her nimble arms came to rest gently over his shoulders. Her fingers worked their way into his silky strands before she could stop herself.

His hands were warm as they came to rest on her waist. He looked up at her and the smirk he sent her, made him look so damn cocky, and so fucking delicious.

"For you baby? I'd bet against any odds." His hands glided across her waist and up her back, pulling her in close. Taking the hint she made herself comfortable on his lap. Her legs crossed demurely and his warm hands massaged her thigh. He leaned in and she met him halfway. She bit her bottom lip when he paused. He could feel her hands tighten on his jacket, hear her ankles crossing and rubbing together with impatience.

He chuckled low and the sound was a whisper of promises she couldn't wait for him to keep.

Instead of letting him kiss her lips, she tilted her chin to the side. Allowing him access to her neck while his warm hands continued to wonder, setting her on fire.

"Hmm...I think you're tryna provoke me sweetheart." He gave her a love bite as her soft hands did some exploring of their own.

"Is it working?"

"Aht Aht, you don't get to spoil my fun." She leaned back against his chest, his hands like flames licking at her skin. He caught her ear between his teeth as his hips ground into her bottom. The dual sensation leaving her gasping and her eyes fluttering shut. Did she even realize how enticing she could be?

Reaching haphazardly into his wallet, Inuyasha produced a wad of bills that was surely too much, and placed them carelessly on the bar near his empty glass. "Take care of her tab for me too." He said without looking back. Stepping from his lap, Kagome made a show out of walking a few steps and turning to face him.

"Such a gentleman to pay for my drinks. How can I ever repay you?" Her belly tightened in a delicious way as he set that predatory gaze on her once more.

"Follow me sweetheart, I'm sure some arrangements can be made."
