Tony DiNozzo was born 22. June-23. July. 1971 or 1970. (season 1 episode 21)

.
Tony sits at his desk and looks around. He is tired of NCIS and his teammates. The criminals, the cover-ups that agencies do or Gibbs, privately, does, the politics, the team who he can't trust, Ziva who wanted to kill him since the beginning and then use him, Gibbs and the team and NCIS who blame DiNozzo if something goes wrong — or they are angry and need an outlet —, the head slaps, that he is always thrown before the bus and many other things. Does Gibbs even remember him after the explosion; he treated him better before it happened. He used to tell McGee and Ziva when they did something wrong, privately. No he is blamed, publicly, and officially. If he does something good, finds something difficult or almost impossible for a case, McGee gets the "Good work.".
Sometimes he things that Gibbs only hired him because he hit him in Baltimore, or because Morrow was nerving him about not working alone.
Perhaps he should have left NCIS when came back or taken the promotion to Spain. Or when the director gave him the team who didn't respect him, still doesn't. No, he should have done it when Ziva became a member of the team, or when Gibbs said that he should bodily-die quietly. Or after the bio- attack in 2005. Or when Todd was there. Yes, he should have left when Gibbs had another permanent agent that he liked. He should have left when his 2 years were up. In the police force he could transfer to a different city and he kept his retirement plan Than he quit because of his dirty partner. Did Gibbs know he would do that? Then why didn't he say something? If would have transferred to NCIS, he perhaps could have taken the years with him. Now he only has the years that he worked at NCIS for his retirement plan; he is inside a trap. Does Gibbs really only care about his time in Baltimore and Philadelphia or does he only know them? Quitting before the 5 years mark means no retirement money. Does he even care about Tony? Tony has to laugh a that thought but he pushes it down; he can't laugh in the squad room. It doesn't matter. After what happened at the last case he knows that he can't stay at NCIS. Gibbs doesn't care if he does a crime or breaks rules. And he wants Tony to do that if Gibbs tells him to do it which he does if it is for Gibbs or Ziva. He has to leave before he starts to become dirty too. He isn't interested in Ziva even through she thinks that every men wants her. Was that the reason why she thought that Americans loved there pornos but are stuffily? Because some Americans didn't jump at her idea of sex? They most likely instinctively felt the danger and killer, like when you know you have to flee. Tony had that feeling too, at the beginning. Then the warning signals became quieter. She is like a slowly acting poison. If you don't run when you feel the danger in the beginning, it will be too late when you find out that she played you. He started to trust Ziva. What will happen if he stays? Will he start to have feelings for her. Will he defend her when she someone catches her spying? Will he be jealous when she is with someone else and is enjoying that she can do that to him? Will he actually be hurt when someone kills her?
He has to leave before he does something stupid. He has to leave as long as he can, on his terms. And not on hers. What would she do — make someone blackmail senators and bomb his undercover ability and if that doesn't work then give him a different reason to quit, like a baby who wouldn't be his but he would think that?
Tony stands up and goes to the scary woman downstairs. He quits, effective immediately. He goes home and packs a bag. He drives out of DC, takes a hotel room, locks the door. Then he stats to cry. A weight has fallen off. He is relieved and happy and sad.
****NCIS****
At the hotel he meets a retired Army guy, or an Air Force guy. He isn't like Gibbs or the other Marine and Navy personnel. He tells him that in the past he used to go on a road trip and camp where he landed: on the grass fields, in the desert, in the woods in Colorado or Minnesota.
He drives through the States, not entering the bigger cities. They are too much like DC. Firs he stays in hotels but in a bigger town he sees a camping store and buys what he needs. The first days and nights are difficult but Tony always learns fast.
After some month he drives to Minnesota. He camps in the woods near a cabin where an Air Force guy find him. They talk and start a friendship. It helps that the man doesn't like spies too. He likes to joke. Tony missed this, joking without hurting somebody. Perhaps it will change his life.
Or perhaps he drives to Colorado where he camps in the woods near NORAD and a secret Air Force base. Perhaps some Airman find him, searching the area. Perhaps the Air Force hunts him because he now can see animals that aren't there. Perhaps the Air Force uses the woods for a training.
Perhaps it will change his life.
