James, Albus, Victorie, and Lily met with the rest of the Gryffindor Quidditch team at breakfast. Wood was going over last-minute reminders. After a quick breakfast, they made their way down to the locker rooms. They got dressed and listened as Wood commented on the conditions.

"The ground's solid, we should get a good push off. Coote, Peakes, fly out of the sun"

They half-listened through Wood's pregame pep-talk. Finally, Ginny and Harry, who would be the referees for the match, made their way onto the pitch. Many people who knew who they were roared with applause. As the Gryffindor and Slytherin teams walked into the pitch and Wood shook hands with Jimmy Smith, the Slytherin captain, they addressed the teams.

"I want a nice, fair game.", said Ginny, and the Gryffindors noticed she was looking and Montague, who, like his father, played dirty.

Harry blew his whistle and kicked the crate open. He threw the Quaffle in the air and kicked off, circling the game.

James circled the game like a hawk. Charles Jordan, the commentator was yelling out the score as the three Gryffindor Chasers scored again and again. He could distinctly hear the roar of the lion topped hat that had once belonged to his Aunt Luna.

"150-10 with Gryffindor in the lead", yelled Jordan

James stole a look at his parents, who were smiling as they watched their children and niece fly around beneath them. James saw a glint of gold on the Slytherin side of the pitch and accelerated toward it. Montague was the Slytherin Seeker, when he saw James take off, he followed. James flattened himself to his broom, building up speed as his father had taught him to do. Suddenly, both Bludgers, hit by the Slytherin Beaters, were fired at him. He had to veer out of the way to avoid being decapitated. In the few seconds he'd swerved off track, the Snitch disappeared. The Slytherins cheered and applauded, while the Gryffindors, including Jordan, groaned.

As Victorie neared the Slytherin goal posts, both Slytherin Beaters chucked their clubs at her, nearly knocking her off of her broom. Harry and Ginny blew their whistles at the same time, awarding Gryffindor 5 penalty shots. The Chasers made them all, and it was 290-30 for Gryffindor.

10 minutes later, James saw the Snitch again, a flash of gold hovering above Montague's head. He signaled to Coote and Peakes, who flew next to him as he followed the Snitch. He flattened himself to the broom once more as the Snitch stopped above the Gryffindor goal posts. Both Bludgers were hit at him, but Coote and Peakes hit them toward the Slytherin Chaser with the Quaffle, and Montague. James put on an extra spurt of speed and caught the Snitch. He did a lap of victory around the pitch as the Gryffindors cheered and Jordan happily announced the final score, "600-60 for Gryffindor, an excellent showcase by all 7 of the players."

The team landed and headed back to the locker rooms. A few minutes later, Harry and Ginny came in and congratulated them. Wood, Coote, and Peakes shook his hand. Harry, who had played with all of their fathers, complimented them all, saying that they were just as good as their fathers. Ginny had Quidditch practice, but Harry stayed. As the team and Harry were walking to the Hall for lunch, Harry pulled James aside.

What does Harry want? Find out next time.
