First off, I do not own Mortal Kombat and any of it's characters *sighs*, nor any of my people (that would be weird) but I do own my personally created characters (OCs). Please check my message about the kinds of stories I have panned (click on "WindSerpent" and then "Long Time No See").
Anyways, hey guys! Here I am and back at it again (kind of...not really). Time for a little info:
A lot of Mortal Kombat lore is a part of this universe
Here is Some Info for Further Below:
The prefix -tzin (ts-een) is one of respect and used to address someone in a respectful way.
The letter 'x' makes a "sh" sound.
The letter 'c' makes a "k" sound.
Okay Time for Some New Words, I Updated it to Help Out People Who Know Nothing About Nahua Culture or the Language (Nahuatl):
Names of Mortal Kombat Gods and their Equivalent Names in my Nahua Culture
Raiden = Tlaloc (Tl-ah-lok)
Fujin = Ehecatl (Eh-he-ka-tl) / Quetzalcoatl (Keh-ts-ah-l-koh-ah-tl)
NOTE: Considering the naming of the gods above, I will assume that the next gods also retain their Japanese names.
Kojin (fire) = Huehueteotl (*Oo-eh-oo-eh-teh-oh-tkl)
*the same as pronouncing the letter 'u' in Spanish
Sarutahiko (earth) = Tezcatlipoca (Teh-z-kah-tl-ee-po-ka)
NOTE: In Aztec/Mexica culture, there are multiple individual gods and gods that are a manifestation of others. In my culture, there are only 4 main teotzin or spirits (in high regards) and they all have multiple manifestations that are given different names.
Another God:
Ometeotl (Oh-meh-teh-oh-tl) - the name of the supreme teotzin/"supreme spirit" and the teotzin of duality. S/he can seperate into two beings; Ometecuhtli (literally "2 Lord") and Omecihuatl (literally "2 Woman").
Name of Place(s):
Tliltetepetl (Tl-eel-teh-teh-peh-tl) / "Black Stone Mountain" - the name of the altepetl(town/city) where we reside in.
(so "Tliltetepeco" is someone from Tliltetepetl)
Important Other Characters (OCs):
Teonihitotia (Teh-oh-nee-hee-toh-tee-ah) / "Dancing Spirit" - this is my Nahuatl name, therefore, ME (kind of). Mainly of the House of Tliltetl, but also Xilotl.
Omeuitzili (Oh-me-oo-ee-ts-ee-lee) / "2 Hummingbird" - my mother (nantli) of the House of Tliltetl.
Yeicuetzpalin (Ye-ee-koo-eh-ts-pah-leen)/ "3 Lizard" - my father (tatli) originally from the House of Xilotl.
Tliltetepiani (Tl-eel-teh-teh-pee-ah-nee) / "Black Stone Guardian" - my ancestor who broke off from the tribe that he came with to the Americas and lead the way south. He is the strongest of all the Tliltetepecos that have ever lived.
Names of OCs That are Not Common:
Tlilteollintzin / "Black Stone that Moves" - my ancestor who fended off a foreign king and is the second strongest of all the Tliltetepecos that have ever lived
Coatlacatl / "Gentle Serpent" - my paternal grandfather (Kolli) of the House of Xilotl
Yeitototl / "3 Bird" - my paternal grandmother (Sihtli) originally from the House of Tototl
Cihuatepiani (See-hua-teh-pee-ah-nee)/ "Guardian Woman" - my maternal grandmother (Sihtli) of the House of Tliltetl
Iztacoatl / "White Serpent" - my maternal uncle (Tlahtli) by blood of the House of Tliltetl
Chichilticoatl (Chi-chi-l-teek-oh-ah-tl) / "Red Serpent" - my maternal uncle (Tlahtli) by marriage of the House of Malinalli
Axochitl / "Water Flower" - my maternal aunt (Ahuitli) originally from the House of Tliltetl
Iztatetl / "White Stone" - Axochitl's and Chichiltikoatl's daughter (oldest) of the House of Malinalli
Huitzlampatochtli / "Rabbit of the South" - Axochitl's and Chichiltikoatl's daughter (youngest) of the House of Malinalli
