"Are you okay?" A girl's voice cut through my sleep causing me to groan, "I'm still tired." as I turned away from the voice, hoping that they would leave me alone, but at last the voice spoke again.

"Get up!" The girl shouted. I shot up, the voice was loud in my ears this time, so I opened my eyes. The light from the sun was bright, and I instantly sheild my eyes, but as my eyes adjusted the first thing I noticed was that my clothes were soaking wet. Next was my location on some sort of raft, in the middle of the ocean, and finally the girl kneeling beside me.

"Where am I?" I asked.

"Nowhere fun." The girl next to her muttered, she looked at me with a smile. She looked to be around my age with long brown hair braided into a bun, chocolate brown eyes and a large nose. She was quite cute despite her clothes being uncoordinated as if she had gotten dressed in the dark, and two unmatching shoes that were drying in the sun. There were a couple of other things on the raft, a homemade paddle, a dirty backpack with multiple holes, and a holey folded blanket.

"I'm glad you are up now. I found you floating in the ocean, face up so I pulled you on my raft. It's nice to see someone my age, I'm Rachel." She added on quickly. Why was I in the ocean, last I knew I was asleep in my bed. Where was my family, and why is this 16 year old on a raft in the ocean?

"Hi. I'm Quinn. Why are you on a raft in the ocean?" I asked. Rachel looked at me, her eyebrow raised.

"Does your head hurt?" Rachel asked. I shook my head. Why would my head be hurting

"The last thing I remember is being in my bed going asleep for the night, then waking up here." I explained, and Rachel gave her a sad smile.

"Were you on a boat? You might have kicked out when you slept, but it would be weird for you to only be waking up now." Rachel asked.

"No, I wasn't on a boat, I was in my house on land." Quinn answered. Rachel looked at me, a little bit more confused than beforehand.

"Join the club." I thought.

"There isn't any land left." Rachel stated.

"What do you mean that there isn't any land left?" I asked.

"We flooded the Earth a long time ago, so I wasn't alive when there was land, but my Grandma had told my mom stories about living on the land." Rachel explained. She had to be pranking me, I was just at home, in my bed, which is on land!

"My house is on land! I go to school, there is no way your being real about this. Who set you up to this. I bet it was Santanna. It doesn't matter, take me home!" The anger in my voice was thick, this was a stupid prank, elaborate but stupid.

"I can't take you home, and I'm not joking! I don't know where you are from, but there isn't any land here." Rachel exclaimed.

"I don't believe you, just stop this isn't funny anymore." I said. Rachel shook her head, grabbed her paddle, and began to paddle the raft.

"Where are we going?!" I asked.

"I'm going to show you proof." Rachel said. I turned away from her, and began to look around, the water wasn't the clear blue that I remembered from the last time I saw the ocean, it was darker, and sort of muddy. I don't know how long she paddled for, but it had to be a couple of hours based on the sun moving down the horizon. Once she stopped paddling, Rachel looked at me.

"Look." She said point down into the water, and although it was muddy, I looked down and saw a building underwater.

"That used to be a store according to my mom." Rachel explained, and I looked closer.

"Okay, this isn't a joke, but how did I get here?!" I asked, and Rachel shrugged.

"Quite a bit of help." I muttered under my breath, quiet enough that Rachel wouldn't here.

"How did you know how to get us here?" I asked.

"I found this earlier in the morning, I just went the way I came and hoped that I would find it. I already searched it for food, there wasn't anything, but I was hoping to find a building that a bit of it was above water to settle down at." Rachel explained. I sighed.

"I'm sorry that I yelled, I was just confused. I have a friend who I could see pulling a prank like this, her name is Santana." I explained.

"It's okay, I don't get what's going on, but you don't seem like you are lying." She responded. I looked up at the sky, I hope I wasn't stuck here.
