This is a work of fan fiction, inspired by George Lucas' Star Wars universe and its many collaborators. This piece will explore pre-existing characters, dialogue and plots, as well as my own plots and OCs.
There will be some difficult topics mentioned throughout, I'm sorry if reading this makes you upset or offended in any way.
Tipoca City, Kamino.
2030 hours, two days before the First Battle of Geonosis, 22BBY.
"Master Jedi." Jango Fett headed towards the door of his Kamino apartment, gesturing for Obi-Wan Kenobi to follow, "Come, I have something I think you would be interested in."
"Would be?" On edge, Obi-Wan didn't have much other choice but to follow, "I must be heading back soon, Jango."
"You'll be grateful I showed you this project before it's too late." Jango's smile was too wide to be trustworthy, Obi-Wan vowed to keep his guard up.
They walked down several corridors until Jango's son, who Obi-Wan believed was called Boba, spoke up. "Are we going to see them, father?"
"Indeed, my boy." Obi-Wan furrowed his brow in confusion, this was a project that Boba was excited about and that made the Jedi even more cautious.
"May I ask what or who we are going to see?"
Jango stopped suddenly, he was smiling as he faced Obi-Wan, "Can you not sense her, Master Jedi?"
Immediately, Obi-Wan stretched into the Force and encountered nothing. Fearing it was a trap, he rounded on Jango, "Do not play games with me."
The Bounty Hunter didn't say anything, his eyes just subtly lifted to the ceiling and stayed there. Obi-Wan looked up and tried not to flinch when a pair of honey-coloured eyes were staring back at him through the vent.
"You rely on the Force for too much, Jedi, so much that you cannot even pay attention to your surroundings."
A small body somersaulted down and then straightened to reveal a woman, although she seemed more like a girl, in dark green and royal purple armour. Obi-Wan noticed her face was identical to every other clone on Kamino; the only difference, besides her gender, was her bright white hair braided into two plaits.
Golden eyes flickered to Jango, quickly returning to Obi-Wan and an eyebrow raised when she saw his lightsaber. Whilst she didn't appear armed, Obi-Wan knew better than to underestimate her since she had managed to sneak up on them. Well, not Jango, but she had managed to slide past Obi-Wan's defenses.
"Honour." Jango said, a smirk residing on his features.
"Jango." She replied, Obi-Wan assumed it was unusual for clones to refer to the Mandalorian by his first name, this relationship must've been different. "I didn't know you had any friends, who's this?"
She finally took her eyes off Obi-Wan and looked at Boba, sending him a casual wink.
"Jedi Master Obi-Wan Kenobi." Jango shifted to face Obi-Wan, the Jedi wouldn't have risked turning his back on this woman. "Honour is one of my original projects."
"Jedi." Honour purred the word, "What brings you to Kamino?"
Obi-Wan found her stare intimidating, even though she had to slightly tilt her head up to meet his eyes. Although she was only 5,5', her entire presence threatened the Jedi. "That's confidential, my dear."
The slight smile fell off her face and then, with a perfect accent, she parroted him. "That's confidential, my dear."
Jango patted her shoulder, completely fearless but Obi-Wan could feel his heart racing. "Honour, where is your sister? I'm assuming she didn't follow you through the vents."
Oh, so there was a second one, double trouble.
"Working." Honour was now more interested in her nails than anyone else.
"Well then, run ahead and wake her." Jango nudged her shoulder and whilst she didn't acknowledge him, she did obey and skirted around the two men to lightly jog down the corridor, Boba right behind her.
Jango and Obi-Wan walked at a leisurely pace and the Bounty Hunter began to explain, "Honour will be an elite clone, specialising in combat and strategy but also able to adapt to any given situation, making her perfect for espionage."
"And her sister?"
"Glory." Obi-Wan had to admit, their names inferred legends. "She will be the greatest medical officer the universe has ever seen; certainly the kindest."
Obi-Wan nodded, absorbing all the information he could. He assumed it was better to know a lot about these girls. "Honour seems younger than the average clone."
"A good observation, Master Jedi." He didn't have to use the Force to know Jango was mocking him. "In our years, Glory and Honour are roughly five and a half years old."
Obi-Wan tried not to display his shock, all the other clones were ten. "Through advanced accelerated ageing, flash training and drug-induced simulations, they match the physical and mental dispositions of sixteen-year old's, perhaps slightly older. Whilst an age cannot be put on experience or mental abilities, it is difficult to comprehend that these girls have never stepped on a real battlefield."
The Jedi tried to remain indifferent, Jango was over exaggerating their abilities just to scare him. Still, he would eagerly tell the Jedi Council about them, after he had determined if this was the Bounty Hunter he was looking for.
When they stopped outside a metal door, it opened for them and Obi-Wan followed the other man inside. It seemed to be a standard military barrack but had been transformed into an apartment that could challenge the interior design of the Senate building on Coruscant.
Obi-Wan caught sight of Honour first, leaning against a desk and laughing at something. Once they rounded the corner to enter an office-like room, Glory finally came into view. She was sat on the chair with Boba perched on her lap, the same features and armour as Honour except her hair was auburn, tucked into a bun at the top of her neck.
Honour spotted them first, not shocking Obi-Wan. "Here's the Jedi, Glory."
The other girl gently lifted Boba off her lap as she stood, turning to Obi-Wan and Jango. Like Honour, her eyes were critically assessing the Jedi, but her gaze was much gentler, less predatory.
"You must be Master Kenobi." A slim hand was extended to him, "I'm Glory, it's nice to meet you."
Her wide smile was refreshing compared to Honour's hostility but Obi-Wan knew better than to instantly trust her. He shook the medic's hand politely, "Likewise, my dear."
Caught off guard yet again, Obi-Wan could barely react when his left hand was snatched from his side. He really needed to start paying more attention to the present. Glory stared at his hands with wonder, eyebrows slowly furrowing in concentration.
"Squeeze my fingers as tight as you can."
Obi-Wan glanced at Jango but he was merely watching with great interest. Hesitantly, he squeezed Glory's fingers and waited for her reaction.
"That's incredible." She lifted her gaze to meet his, "When did you change from Ataru to Soresu?"
Obi-Wan narrowed his stare, fearing that both girls had managed to impress him with their abilities already. He checked her Force-shields, they were as strong as Honour's. "What do you know about lightsaber combat?"
Glory answered with a smile. "Extensive use of Ataru weakens the carpi radialis brevis, another ten years or so and you would be unable to bend your wrist backwards, your thumb may even become immobile. Soresu takes the pressure off this tendon and instead strengthens the extensor carpi radialis longus and the extensor carpi ulnaris. You'll be fighting a lot longer and stronger if you use Soresu."
Obi-Wan had to admit, he was impressed; this teenager could diagnose as quickly as the Jedi Healers at the Temple, he had to give her some credit.
"Jango did say you were the greatest medical officer the universe has ever seen." He tried to keep the conversation light-hearted, Honour was glaring at him and he felt guilty for snapping at Glory.
"Aspiring." Glory had the type of smile that could last someone a week. She released his hands and glanced over her shoulder with a frown, "My sister has acquired your lightsaber, Master Kenobi, please accept my apology."
Obi-Wan gasped, his hand falling to find an empty lightsaber hold, he didn't even notice it leave his person. Looking to Honour, she was cheekily extending the metal cylinder to him.
"Just keeping you on your toes." Obi-Wan snatched the weapon, afraid she would try something whilst he was vulnerable and weapon-less. "It is supposed to be your life, after all."
"Honour, what am I going to do with you?" Jango asked as Obi-Wan returned his most prized possession to his belt, amusement clear in his tone. "I hope you aren't teaching Boba all your tricks."
"Only the good ones." Honour ruffled the young boy's hair, making him squirm and hide behind Glory who giggled, swooping Boba up and putting him onto her hip.
Obi-Wan noted the way Boba curled up to the medic as if she were his mother. He also didn't miss how Glory was not straining to lift the boy who was nearly as tall as her and probably weighed more, he was beginning to believe there was lot more to the girls than what he first thought.
Jango scanned Glory, a smile growing on his face, "You're looking well, Baby Girl."
Baby Girl. Obi-Wan hoped that is was just a term of endearment, perhaps referring to her child-like nature, and not something more complicated.
"Thank you, Jango, I wish I could say the same." Glory nodded her head towards the man, "How bad is it, Boba?"
"He said he doesn't want you to worry." Boba replied, resting his head on her shoulder.
"It's nothing, Kote." Jango confirmed, shaking his head at her. Obi-Wan's slightly rusty Mando'a knew that 'Kote' was just the Mandalorian translation of her Basic name, he wondered why Jango did not use a Mando'a word for the other girl.
There was some non-verbal communication occurring and Obi-Wan was worried that not even a Jedi could figure them out.
"He probably had it coming anyways, Baby Girl." Honour swung an arm around her sister's shoulder, pulling her in for a brief side-hug and showing the most affection that Obi-Wan had seen from her.
Perhaps these girls had something to do with the assassination attempt, but Honour seemed too smart to leave a trace and Glory seemed too good-natured to have committed the crime.
The only thing Obi-Wan knew was that these girls would either help or hinder the Republic, they must be brought to the attention of the Jedi Council. If Obi-Wan had to go to those measures, then Anakin would surely find out as well.
The elder Jedi had a feeling that his Padawan would be swept away by the two girls, he would listen to them more than his own Master.
As Glory watched Master Kenobi fight Jango on the platform below her and Honour's apartment in Tipoca City, she grew extremely concerned for everyone's safety, especially Boba's. He was a smart kid who took after his father, but he was a kid all the same, she struggled to remember that he was actually a few years older than her.
The fact that Jango was already injured didn't help Glory's nerves, she had instantly noticed his tendency to put more weight on his right leg. Whatever Jango got up to, whilst he was away, wasn't something he trusted the Jedi with.
"You tired, Baby Girl?" Honour was bouncing on the balls of her feet to join in the fight.
"I'm alright, are you?" She gave Honour a small smiled before turning back to the fight, briefly feeling knuckles being pressed against her bare arm.
The time they could afford to spend out of armour was too precious to consider Kamino's rather cruel weather. The custom armour that Jango designed for them was brilliant and practical but it didn't compensate for their accelerated ageing bodies. The girls were bound in corsets beneath their kutes*, moulding their bodies to fit into the armour properly.
"I'm enjoying watching Kenobi getting his shebs kicked." Honour said with a sadistic smile, they watched Boba get their shuttle, Slave I, ready for take-off, "Do you think Jango's leaving for good this time?"
"I'm not even sure why he came back." Glory turned to her, "Something big must be happening."
"A war about to break out?" Honour gave Glory a teasing smile which she returned. "Kenobi couldn't tell that we are ready for combat, the Jedi will be the unprepared ones."
Glory thought about it for a moment, it was difficult to imagine soon putting all her medical theories into practise. Her eyes widened as Master Kenobi was blasted across the platform, breaking ribs judging by the way he staggered to his feet.
"What was the reason for Master Kenobi's visit?"
"He didn't think the Kaminoans would be expecting him, it's as if he stumbled on Kamino." As soon as Honour had spotted his ship landing, she had stalked him through the vents whilst Glory carried on with her work; spying was against her ethics.
"Stumbled?" Jango was now climbing up the side of the building opposite them. "Maybe he wasn't looking for the clones, maybe he was looking for Jango."
"You think Jango did something controversial on his trip, Baby Girl?" Jango was a well-known Bounty Hunter and even though he treated the girls as if they were his own, he had done things that Glory disagreed with. "Wouldn't be the first time."
The sisters were extremely lucky to have Jango, he had trained them to be the best whilst maintaining loving relationships with them, practically becoming their first and only fatherly figure.
"And there he goes." Glory commented, they watched the Slave I whizz out of the atmosphere. "I'll go and tend to Master Kenobi."
She turned to re-enter their apartment to get her medkit when Honour caught her arm, "Baby Girl, Kenobi isn't staying, he planted a homing beacon on Jango's ship."
Glory wanted to at least give him some painkillers and a familiar face, maybe she could find out why he wanted to meet Jango. Honour intertwined their fingers and gently led her inside, "Time for bed, Glory."
She allowed Honour to get her ready for bed and hoped Master Kenobi could access some medical supplies on his own ship. Her bigger concern was Boba's safety, watching his father constantly fight must be influencing his mental processes.
"Try not to worry about Boba, Jango won't let anything happen to him." Honour stroked Glory' forehead, the medic closed her eyes, but her mind still whirled with activity.
"What if something happens to Jango?" Glory looked at her sister through one eye, "What if Jango isn't so lucky the next time he faces off with a Jedi?"
"He won't punch above his weight." Honour kissed her forehead gently which calmed her down. "Besides, if Jango could train me to hold off a Jedi, then he can surely defeat a few more in his lifetime."
Glory closed her eyes and settled, "Are you going to visit Milo once I fall asleep?"
Milo Penalty, a Twi'lek trainer who pushed Honour to her physical and mental limits to become the best soldier she could be, but never praised her afterwards. Glory struggled to understand how Honour could admire someone who hurt her so many times.
"Perhaps, I'll be back though."
"Your body never fails to impress me." His steel-like voice made Honour melt, she couldn't believe how lucky she was.
At last, Glory finally fell asleep and Honour only stayed for 15 minutes before silently leaving their apartment and heading towards Milo's quarters.
"All thanks to your training." Milo pinned her to the wall, hungrily kissing her mouth before removing her clothes with skilled hands, they had done this far too many times.
Honour completely forgot about the Jango situation when she was pushed to Milo's desk and he magically erased all her worries. After a few monumental hours of intense pleasure, Honour's gut gnawed at her to return to Glory, something wasn't right.
If Jango had taught her one thing about war, she should always trust her gut instinct.
Unfortunately, Milo made leaving difficult by growing angrier, pinning Honour down and making empty threats. Milo was the only person, besides Jango, who could physically hold Honour down.
"I don't want to leave." She squirmed beneath him, it was no use, "Please, Milo, I need to check on Glory."
"You can't leave, babe." He peppered her neck with kisses, "You can't leave someone who loves you."
Honour froze, her heart skipped a beat. "You l-love me, M?"
"Yes!" He spat with passion, glaring at her with dark eyes, "Don't you love me?!"
"Of course, I do." She had told him on several occasions, but tonight was the first time she'd heard him say it. "You know that, M, but I have to go and make sure Glory's alright."
Finally, he released her, and she put her clothes back on as he paced his quarters, "I can't believe you'd rather spend time with your sister than me!"
"She comes first, M, don't twist my words like that." She wrapped her arms around his neck and planted a kiss on his lips. "I did really enjoy our evening together though."
"Whatever, Schutta." Honour sighed; Milo always resorted to his native curse words when he was upset.
"I'll see you around, Milo."
Glory tried counting every bone, muscle and tendon in the body, it still wasn't enough to make her fall asleep. She considered the way Master Kenobi reacted to her brief analysis on the impact of lightsaber forms on tendons in the wrist. To begin with, he was defensive but then he gradually became impressed.
Sleep was hard for the medic to come by as her mind was constantly working, planning essays and experimenting with treatments; there was no rest in the medical industry. Honour's comlink started beeping, the aspiring medic checked the comlink frequency and answered without hesitation.
"Jango!"
"Glory." Even though it was her sister's comlink and she'd only said his name, Jango could tell them apart without skipping a beat. "You should be sleeping."
"Where are you, Jango? Why did you fight Master Kenobi? Is Boba alright? When are you coming back? Are you injured? How bad is your leg? Was it a contusion in your quadriceps? Why did-"
"Slow down with the questions, Baby Girl, we're both fine."
Glory sighed with relief, the nickname never failed to calm her, "Why did you call, Jango?"
"Because I need you two out in the field with me." Glory's heart skipped a beat, perhaps Jango had received a head trauma. "I know you don't understand, Glory, that's why I was planning on speaking to Honour first."
"I'm here, Jango." Honour startled Glory by sitting on her bed and pulled her into a tight embrace, "What do you need?"
"I need you to steal a ship and get to Geonosis."
Glory gave Honour a desperate look, she furrowed her brows in response. "This is something big, isn't it?"
"It's the beginning of a war."
Glory exhaled slowly; they were prepared for war, but they weren't expecting it to be so soon.
"I'll explain when I see you, just get a ship and autopilot to these coordinates." The comlink beeped once before Jango continued. "I want both of you suited and ready to go, psyche yourselves up on the journey."
"We'll be there." Determination was thick in Honour's tone. She turned off the comlink and cupped Glory's cheek, rubbing circles on her cheek with her thumb. "You ready, Baby Girl?"
With a smile, Glory nodded, "For anything the universe throws at us, this is what Jango made us for."
Unknown location.
2351 hours, two days before the First Battle of Geonosis, 22BBY.
I inhaled through my nose, held my breath and exhaled through my mouth, ignoring the comlink that buzzed on the central console. Even with Mr Sharp changing my comlink frequency every eight days, Jango always managed to find me.
Eventually, Jango gave up. I sighed and rolled back my tense shoulders a couple of times; my posture always went rigid when he tried to contact me. I ran over the Kamino security footage in my mind, analysing Kenobi's reaction to Glory and Honour.
"Mr Sharp, set up a line to the Temple."
"Dialling." His automated voice responded promptly; I kept my eyes on the screen in front of me.
Windu was sat on his meditation mat when his comlink went off, I watched his eyes flicker to the security camera that I was watching the footage off. To let him know it was me, I swivelled the camera left and right, before returning it to the original position.
The Jedi leapt to his feet and answered his comlink, but I made sure I spoke first.
"Mace." My tone was flat, not revealing anything. "I need a favour."
"Will you join us in exchange?"
I could never speak to the Jedi without him asking me to side with the Republic, even though he knew the CIS were also offering me a well-paid position. I worked alone, Mr Sharp as my only comrade, and that was how I wanted it to stay.
"Never." My lips kicked into a smile, "But I'll owe you one."
"I'm listening." He knew that when I promised to return a favour, I wouldn't let that person down.
"Get rid of Jango Fett."
He looked straight at the camera, "Finally came to your senses then?"
"You know that I was waiting for the right time to strike." I informed him, not willing to share any details.
Windu had known me long enough to understand that I could get Jango and him in the same location, I would do most of the work for him. "When you see his jet pack spark, that's your signal."
"Will you be nearby?"
"Is that an invite to a hotel room on some sandy planet?" I wasn't being serious, I was only hinting where the battle would take place, "I hope you like big bugs."
"You're such a tease." He said with a slight smile. "You should come back to Coruscant for a while, spend some time with Depa."
"I don't think she wants to have much to do with me, Mace." Suddenly, Mr Sharp was trying to get my attention, "I have to go, remember to wait until Jango's jet pack sparks."
"Got it, take care of yourself."
I had to cut off the connection there, Mr Sharp was getting desperate, "Alright, Mister, I'm all yours."
"Alert from the Republic Judiciary Central Detention Centre on Coruscant."
He played the recording of the jailed assassin sat in her cell. After deactivating the central security system and setting up my intercom, I called out to her. "I'm super busy right now, what do you need?"
"Finally!" The prisoner swung her head to glare at the camera I was watching, "It hurts to blink at that camera five times a minute."
"Well, I'm listening to you now." I couldn't but help smile at her frustration, "What can I do for you, your highness?"
"Get me out of this cell!" She cried out, swinging her head backwards so it collided with the metal wall. "There was no blue buttered toast at breakfast!"
"Blue buttered toast, got it." I laughed out loud this time as I typed the note onto my datapad, "I'll get you some for tomorrow. Now, we both know whose fault it was that you ended up in that cell."
"Mine." She grumbled, crossing her arms like a child.
I did have some sympathy for her, there weren't many young females with life sentences, she got verbally abused by fellow prisoners on a daily basis, "You also know that I'm not getting to let you rot in there, you just have to be patient."
She closed her eyes and I sighed loudly, "Crying won't convince me to break you out until I think you've learnt your lesson. I'm going planet-side for a week, so you'll need to hang on without me until I get back."
The prisoner glanced at the camera again, "Will you make sure there's blue buttered toast tomorrow morning?"
"I've already put the order in." I reassured her, "I'll catch up with you in a couple days, hang in there."
Mr Sharp switched off the camera and intercom as I finished the order for the facilities dining hall. My next stop would be Geonosis, where cameras were sparse so I would have to get an eye-witness account, I had been several months since I interacted with real people in face-to-face, I was getting used to hiding behind a screen.
"Mr Sharp, power up the engines, we've got a bounty hunter and Sith Lord to stalk."
*kute = Mando'a for undersuit/bodysuit/something worn under armour
Uh oh, a mysterious, unnamed character who seems to be spying on everyone! Do you think they'll regret asking Windu to kill Jango Fett? What have they got against the Mandalorian bounty hunter anyways?
Want to see Honour give a young Anakin Skywalker a piece of her mind? It's all coming up...
Thank you for reading and feel free to review!
