The following story is completely fiction.

"The cabin is just through this way." Said Hermione, holding up the latern in the twilight as the other two girls follow her. Stepping out beneath the unseen stars tonight brings them alive in a way they haven't been for years. Excitement. An adventure. Something new. Something to experience. The woodland stretched unbroken for miles up ahead of them.

Hermione, Luna, and Pansy were visiting an old haunted cabin in the woods that they heard through the gossip of the town folk. It is said to be haunted, and that is what Hermione wanted to witness for herself. There were only small sounds of rustling bushes and the howl of the wind moving the branches on the trees as the girls walk. Hermione didn't know what laid in the dark woods, all she knew was that it probably wasn't going to be a comfortable or peaceful journey. It was a journey she was wanting to experience, nonetheless.

"Are we even going in the right direction?" Asked Pansy.

"According to this map, yes." Hermione holds up a magic map while walking in her other hand that can direct her to the correct location.

"Exciting, isn't it?" Said Luna, in a dreamy faint voice. "I have always wanted to be a paranormal investigator."

Pansy laughs loudly, a flock of crows overhead fly off in the night sky, and Hermione chuckles.

"Ghosts aren't real just like vampires aren't real, Luna." Said Pansy in a superior manner.

"They are too. I see them all the time." Said Luna.

"We have been walking for ages, and it is getting us no where near the haunted cabin." Pansy complained.

"This map couldn't be wrong." Said Hermione, trying to convince her friend to calm down.

"I am going back. This is just stupid." Said Pansy as she stopped walking, her face scrunched up as it's clear she isn't wanting to walk with Hermione and Luna to the haunted cabin.

"Sour puss." Hermione said, as she shakes her head.

"Your loss, then." Said Hermione as she glances at Pansy over her shoulder. Pansy turns around and storms away from Luna and Hermione.

"Pansy? You should stay with us!" Luna calls after Pansy.

"Oh well, you and I will get to experience it." Said Hermione to Luna as the fallen leaves crunch under their feet and Pansy is far off in the distance behind them.

Not even two minutes as they continue their walk, they hear Pansy's extremely horrified scream that fills the night air.

~*X0X0*~

"Did you hear that?" Hermione stopped walking as the scream tore through her ear drum, the lantern swaying in her hand as she holds it out so she can see better in the darkness.

"Yeah. It was Pansy." Said Luna as a matter of fact.

"We should head back and check on her." Suggested Hermione.

"No." Said Luna.

"No? You don't think we should check on her?" Hermione questioned.

"No." Said Luna as Luna continues walking. "We are here."

Hermione drops her shoulders and follows after her as the old haunted cabin is in view. Hermione tucks the magic map inside her pocket.

Deep into the far reaches of the woods, surrounded by many oak trees, there was an old haunted cabin that held an ominous, eerie air about it. Such a silence would be tranquil upon seeing the old haunted cabin, but outside here it is more like the silence of a graveyard. Barren and dark with not a star shinning through the mist.

It is a small shack created out of wood. It's looks as if it had seen better days before age took away its freshness. The wood around the front of the door has emerald green moss growing up the side of it. No windows. Just a wooden door surrounded by its foundation it stands upon.

Upon entering the old haunted cabin, Hermione saw dust, cobwebs, sheets on furniture, broken tables, chairs, oil lamps, mildew on the wood, gaps in the wooden floorboards, holes in the wood.

"Wow. This place is falling apart." Said Luna.

"Nothing we can do about that, Luna. It would be nice if we can fix it up, but we shouldn't. Maybe we can ask Minister Kingsley? He'll know what to do." Hermione said, stepping over animal bones on the floor.

"Perhaps." Luna nodded thoughtfully, looking at something in the corner of the room.

"Thanks for coming to see if I am okay, bitches."

Luna and Hermione turn around. There, standing in the doorway, is Pansy. Her short black hair in a mess in leaves and dirt, and her eyes glowing golden. Her face in an angry and bad tempered manner.

"Pansy?" Hermione questioned.

Pansy shakes her head and walks further into the cabin. "I must of hit my head and fell trying to go back the other way." Said she.

"No. You were attacked by a vampire. See?" Luna points to two holes on Pansy's neck that have her blood oozing out of it. Pansy touches the area and brings her fingertips up to her eyes to examine her blood on her fingertips.

Hermione stops dead in her tracks and stares at Pansy's neck, flabbergasted.

"I do not remember seeing any body else around. I thought I just fell and hit my head." Said Pansy, tilting her head to look at Luna and Hermione. "Stupid me. But you know what that means?"

"We are next." Said Luna, a half smirk playing across her lips.

Hermione rolls her eyes. "Who ever it was will never get me." Said Hermione as she is walking away from the other two girls. "I'm going to explore while you two can stay here."

"Uh-huh. Have fun." Said Pansy as Hermione walks into the hallway of the cabin.

Hermione walks into a room, leaving behind Pansy and Luna.

It is dark, but she finds a letter on the dust of the wooden floorboards which read-

Without my recognizing from the moment I first saw you, real love began to take shape in my heart. I only truly realized it just this moment. You didn't know I was here, perhaps thought me dead, but I looked at you back then as I do now and realize that I love you from the depths of my soul. Turn around.

Hermione turns around with her lantern in one hand, and a love letter in her other hand. She spots her old potions professor, whom she thought was long since dead years ago after being bitten by a poisonous snake.

Severus, dressed in his usual all black cloak, steps out of the shadows and further to Hermione.

Hermione is in a trance half-conscious, captivated by the vampire before her as her feet feeling as if stuck in concrete to the ground, as Severus takes her jawline in both of his pale cold hands. She can't move. She can't look away. She doesn't feel him as he bites her neck and drinks her blood.

Pansy and Luna stand behind their coven master as they watch him turn Hermione into one of them. Both glad she will be joining the coven for an eternity in unending and undying time.
