Di.M.H; "This story I guess you could say is inspired by the relationship of Cory and Topanga from Boy meets World; if you know what that show is about then good on you but if you haven't then I suggest that you do since it's a great show that I loved watching growing up with great stories and relatable characters. Anyways the next story I'll be writing is a request story. I that I'll write it a bit similar to one that I did for FNAF. I hope you enjoy and please R&R and remember to...LIVE ON!"
Years of Love
#
Mana was sitting on the swing set watching the other kids play with each other. They wouldn't let her play with them, since she was the new girl and they weren't interested in making friends with some weird kid. She just sat there watching them trying to fight back the tears. She wanted to make friends with at least one person.
"Are you okay, why are you crying," a voice asked.
She looked up to see a boy with tri-colored hair and violet eyes standing there on the platform where the sidle was. He got onto the sidle and sidle down before walking toward her. Mana looked up at him as she tried to wipe her tears.
"N-no reason," she replied.
"That's lie, I can tell that something is wrong," said the boy, "are you hurt, sick or get someone bully you?"
"No, no and no, I'm just…"
"You're lonely aren't you?"
She didn't say anything. The boy reached out a hand to her making her look up at him. The boy was giving her a kind smile.
"Want to go down the sidle with me," he asked.
Mana didn't say a word. The boy grabbed her wrist and gently pulled her up to her feet. She looked at him confused.
"Come on, it'll be fun," he said.
"O-okay,"
They climbed up the ladder and he let her go down the sidle first before going down himself. They went around the park playing together. They were climbing up the climbing wall, played in the boxes that were made in the shape of a train and a few other things. Mana was having fun with her new friend. The boy let her pretend to drive the train while he sat in one of the cars. She laughed as she continued to play with him.
Soon the sun went down and they were sitting on the platform watching the sun set. Mana looked at the boy that was sitting next to her.
"Thank you," she said, "you're the first person that actually wanted to play with me."
"I've got a twin brother that gets bullied a lot, so I know how it feels when no one wants to play with you."
"You know, you never told me your name."
"It's Atem, what's yours?"
"I'm Mana."
"It's nice to meet you Mana."
"Atem," a voice called.
They looked to see a boy that looked just like Atem running toward them. He stopped to look up at them.
"What's up Yugi," Atem asked.
"Mom says that it's time to go home now," the boy replied.
He ran off back to where he came from. Atem started to climb down when he looked up at her with another kind smile.
"I hope to see you around Mana," he said.
"Me too Atem," she replied with a smile.
Atem felt his heart pound in his chest as she smiled at him like that. There was something about this girl that made her different than most girls he met.
"You know, you're very pretty when you smile. You should smile more often."
Mana's face turned red as he said this and her heart started racing. She watched as he climbed down and went over to his family. Mana watched him walk away before her brother called to her. She went down the sidle and went over to him.
"Did you have a good time," Mahad asked, "I've noticed that you made a friend today."
"Yeah," she replied smiling.
"So what was his name?"
"Atem,"
"I see went that's a strange name don't you think?"
"I don't think so."
Mahad laughed as they walked toward their house. Mana looked over her shoulder at the direction where she had seen Atem disappear to.
He's really nice; I hope we can be friend forever.

Mahad had taken Mana to a game shop to buy her a new game. Mana saw the elderly gentleman behind the counter helping a lady and her son that was around her age. The lady paid and they left the shop. Mahad told Mana to go pick something. She nodded before walked around the shop. The shop was small but for a small child her size it was huge. She walked down an aisle to see a boy that she recognized from a few days ago.
"Atem," she cried happily.
The boy looked up and smiled when he saw her. He put the game that he was looking at back onto the shelf before walking toward her.
"Hey Mana," he said, "What brings you here?"
"I'm getting a game," she replied, "are you?"
"No, my grandpa owns the shop," he explained, "I live over the shop with him, my brother and mom."
"That's so cool."
"It can be, what game are you looking for, maybe I can help you."
"Sure, I'm not much of a gamer, what would you suggest?"
"Well, that depends on what kind of game are you interested in?"
They walked around the shop until they found a game that caught Mana's attention. Atem walked with her to the counter where Mahad and the elderly man were chatting. They looked to see the two kids walking toward them.
"Well now," said the elderly man, "who's your friend Atem?"
"This is Mana," Atem replied.
'Well hello there Mana," said the man, "I'm Atem's grandfather, it's nice to meet you."
"You too sir," Mana replied.
"Is that the game you want," Mahad asked.
Mana nodded and handed it to him. Mahad smiled as he took it from her. Atem was explaining to her about the game. Mana was surprised that he knew a lot about games. Once Mahad paid he decided to let her play with her new friend which was fine with the owner. The two of them were hiding in the back as they took turns playing the game that she just got. Mana was surprised on how skilled he was.
"You're really good," she said, "I wouldn't think of looking there for that sword."
"It's nothing, I've grown up with this stuff," he replied, "I do love games."
"I see,"
"What about you? What do you like to do?"
"I love heights, I climb trees and I love playing hide and seek. I just love being outside."
"I see, it looks like I'll have to spend a lot of time outside since we'll be playing together."
"You like playing with me?'
"Yeah, I have fun playing with you."
"Then let's make a promise that we're be friends forever."
"Actually, I was kind of thinking something else."
"Best friends?"
"Well no, not really."
"Super best friends?"
Atem leaned forward and kissed her on the mouth. Mana's eyes widened. She never had been kissed by a boy before. She did like the way it felt to kiss him. She closed her eyes as she returned the kiss. They pulled away for air and she was speechless.
"I'm sorry if that was a bit…"
She kissed him again and he didn't hesitate to return the kiss. They pulled away and she leaned her head onto his shoulder. Atem looked down at her. He had no idea what made him do that but he felt the urge to kiss her. He wrapped his arm around her shoulders.

Atem and Mana were in preschool together and so far they were telling everyone that they were boyfriend and girlfriend. Of course most adults though that they were just playing pretend. Atem and Mana were playing dress up with Yugi and Anzu. Atem wasn't one for dress up but Mana had him wrap around her finger. He couldn't say no to his girlfriend.
"Atem can be king," said Anzu, "Mana you can be queen."
"Okay," said Mana.
"That means that you two are married," said Yugi, "and married couple normally have children."
Mana looked around until she saw a baby doll. She walked over and picked it up into her arms like she was holding a real baby. Atem and the others looked at her.
"This is the baby," she said, "the princess."
Atem fought back a blush. The thought of him and Mana having a baby sounded strangely like a good idea to him as well as being married to her. The other two nodded and they went on with their game. Yugi was a knight trying to defend the castle while Anzu was Mana's right hand lady but was also Mana's personal guard. Atem would act like a king and as well as acting as commander of the guard.
A group of boys walked over as they were playing and knocked the castle that they had made out of building blocks over. Anzu was quick to call them out for their behavior. Yugi ran to get the teacher while Atem jumped from the chair where he was sitting on next to Mana and managed to push one of the boys away from the tower that Mana had made herself before they started playing. The boy cursed him out before going to push him back.
Mana jumped down and shouted at the boy to leave her boyfriend alone. The boys started teasing Atem after she shouted that. Atem didn't deny it and said if they didn't stop then he would make them. Yugi came back with one of the three teachers that were in the room. The teacher pulled the boys away and told them to leave alone or they would be putting into a time out. They boys ran off cursing them out some more.
"Are you okay," Atem asked Mana.
"I'm okay," Mana replied.
"Yugi, Anzu?"
"I'm okay bro," said Yugi.
"I'm fine too," Anzu replied.
The head teacher called out saying that it was snack time. They walked toward a nearby table and sat down. The teachers were walking around putting snacks down in front of students. Yugi was drinking from a sippy cup that he brought from home. Atem sat next to his brother drinking from a normal cup while the girls were sitting across from them drinking their drinks and eating their snacks. Atem looked up to see one of the boys flipping him off from his table. Mana had noticed and told a teacher that he flipped them off.
The boy got in trouble for that. Mana stuck out her tongue at the boy when he glared at them. Anzu giggled glad to see that he was getting in trouble. Yugi looked over at the table still drinking from his cup. Atem told him to look away and not to acknowledge them. Yugi nodded and turned back around while the girls were talking.
"Nice one Mana," said Anzu.
"No one flips off my boyfriend," said Mana giving Atem a smile.
Atem blushed and turned his head to the side making the three of them laugh. Mana kissed his cheek saying that he was so cute making him blush even more. Mana scooted her chair toward him and grabbed his hand. He looked at her to see her smile which made his hear pound in his chest. Whenever she smiled it made his heart race and he would melt. Mana had a strong hold on him. He knew that she could get him to do whatever she wanted with that smile of hers.

Elementary school was boring to Atem since he was proven to be a genius. The teachers would say that he could go to middle school early but he chose to stay with his brother, friend and his girlfriend. Atem was sitting in the cafeteria for lunch with his class. He sat there eating when he felt something brush against him. He looked to see Mana sitting next to him smiling which made him melt at the sight of his girlfriend.
"Hey Atem," she said.
"Hey Mana," he said, "I thought that you were sitting with the girls."
He glanced over at the other girls in their class. Mana shook her head and wrapped her arms around his. He could feel his face turning red as she was so close to him. She placed her head onto his shoulder and closed her eyes.
"I want to sit next to my boyfriend," she said, "You don't mind do you?"
"No, I love it when you sit near me," he said.
"Good because I love being this close to you."
Atem smiled and wrapped his arm around her shoulders and nuzzled his face into her hair. They heard laughter coming from their table. They looked to see several of their classmates were snickering at them. Atem shook his head at them before he turned back to Mana.
"Hey Temmy," she said.
"What did you call me," Atem asked.
"Temmy, it's a nickname that I made up for you."
"That's the first time I've heard you say it. When did you come up with it?"
"Last night, is that okay?"
"its fine, I don't mind it just as long as it's you."
Mana smiled then cheered making him smile knowing that he made her happy. He looked up as the lunch ladies were telling their class to get up since their lunch period was over. Atem and Mana stood up and walked toward their classroom with a teacher. He saw Yugi and Anzu just ahead of them. They turned to see them and waved. Atem felt someone grab his hand making he look to see that Mana had grabbed his hand.
He smiled and tightened his grip on her hand. Mana looked up at him smiling. She was happy with him. They would play together after school or just hang out. Even though they were kids and didn't understand how this boyfriend and girlfriend thing worked but it didn't change the fact they still saw each other as a couple.

Atem was sitting in his living room on the couch reading a book while Yugi was sitting on the floor playing a video game. Their mother came into the room with groceries and looked at her boys. They were in middle school now and still Atem and Mana were together.
"Boys," she called drawing their attention.
"What's up mom," Yugi asked.
"Could one of you help me here?"
Atem stood up and walked over to help her. Yugi did the same and they helped putting the groceries away. Atem noticed that she had brought a lot of food just for the four of them. Yugi had noticed this too and looked at their mother with a raised brow.
"What's with the extra food mom," he asked.
Before she could answer their grandfather called up saying that they were here. Yugi and Atem looked at each other confused before looking at their mother.
"We're having company for dinner tonight," she explained.
"Who," both boys asked in unison.
"Temmy," a voice cried.
The boys turned to see Mana and Mahad standing there with their grandfather. Mana ran over and jumped into Atem's arms. He caught her and chuckled at his girlfriend. She kissed him on the lips which he returned. Yugi covered his mouth as he laughed at his brother and girlfriend greeting each other. They pulled away and he set her down onto the floor feet first. He stroked her hair lovingly as the adults were chatting among themselves.
"Hello Mana," he said.
"Hey Mana," said Yugi.
"Hey Yugi," said Mana turning to look at him from over her shoulder while holding onto Atem's waist.
"I'll get started on dinner," said their mother.
"Right," said their grandfather, "Mahad why don't we have some tea and chat for a bit."
"Sure," said Mahad, "behave Mana."
"I'm always good," Mana replied.
Both boys laughed making Mana look at them before sticking her tongue out at them. Yugi snickered as he turned his back to her while Atem kissed her cheek making her smile. The three of them went to the living room and sat down onto the couch watching a movie while they waited for dinner. Atem and Mana were curled up together on the couch while they watched TV. Yugi looked at them and smirked as he turned his head trying not to laugh.
Atem knew his brother well enough and lightly jabbed his leg with his foot. Yugi just smirked at his brother before they were called for dinner. They stood up after deciding to watch the movie afterwards. They went to the table and sat down to eat. Mana sat down next to Atem and ate her dinner while glancing over at her boyfriend with a smile.
#
After dinner, Atem and Mana were in his room to work on homework together. They were lying on the bed together. Atem had noticed how his girlfriend was developing physically and found himself looking at her body a lot these days. Mana was looking at her worksheet to even notice him staring at her chest. He turned his head away not wanting to do something he might regret later. He could feel her arm press against his.
Mana looked at him from the corner of her eye. She was checking out his body. She had seen how he was physically fit he became over the years. She had been checking out her own boyfriend finding him very attractive. She stared at his muscular arms and his broad chest. She knew that he been working out and from what she could see; she liked.
"Hey Temmy," she said.
"Yes Mana?"
"We've been dating for a while right?"
"Of course."
"Well, there's something I've been meaning to tell you."
"I love you too," he replied, "isn't that what you were going to say?"
Mana smiled and pulled him into a kiss which he returned. They pulled away for air before they kissed again.
"I love you Temmy," she said.
"I love you too, love," he said.
"Where did that come from?"
'What, you're the love of my life."
"Oh Temmy, you're so romantic."
She jumped onto him and started kissing him. He chuckled as he returned the kiss. He wrapped his arms around her as they deepened the kiss. Mana moaned as his tongue entered her mouth and rolled it in her mouth. They pulled away and stared into each other's eyes before going for another kiss when his bedroom door opened and his mother stood there. She gasped as she saw her son's hands going for her chest.
"Atem Muto," she shouted causing them to pull away and look at her.
"Mana, your brother is waiting for you,"
"Right," Mana replied, "I'll see ya later Temmy."
"I'll see you later love," Atem replied before they kissed.
"I love you," she said when she walked out of the room.
"I love you too," Atem replied watching her leave.
His mother glared at him which he knew that he was in trouble. She crossed her arms as she glared at him. Atem sat up on the bed.
"You know better than that young man," she scolded, "I don't want to see that again."
"Sorry,"
"You better be, I want to become a grandmother so young."
She closed the door behind her as she left the room. Atem sighed and lay back down onto the bed looking up at his ceiling. He was glad that he finally told her that he loves her. He had been wanting to say it for a while now and now that he did it felt amazing to say it and to hear her say it in return. Mana's smiling face appeared in his head.

"I can't believe that we're finally in high school," Yugi cried as he and Atem were walking through the gates on their first day of high school.
"It's not that big of a deal Yugi," said Atem, "there's no reason to get excited."
"Oh come on Atem, this is a huge deal."
"Keep telling yourself that little brother."
"Hey Yugi, Atem," a voice called.
They looked to see Anzu running toward them. Yugi smiled and ran over to greet her with Atem right behind him.
"What's up guys," said Anzu.
"Nothing much," said Atem.
"Are you excited about our first day," Yugi asked.
"Between you and Mana; it's hard to decide who acts more like a child," said Anzu with a laugh making Atem cover his mouth with his hand as he laughed.
"Very funny Anzu," Yugi cried out.
"She's right you know," said Atem.
"Oh come on not you two Atem!"
"Speaking of Mana," said Anzu, "I haven't seen her yet have you guys?"
"Not yet," Yugi replied.
"I'm sure that she's around here something where," said Atem as he looked around for his girlfriend.
"She probably overslept knowing her," said Anzu.
"True," both boys replied.
"Hey guys," a voice called.
They turned to see Mana running toward them while waving. She had her usual cheery smile that would make Atem melt at the sight of it. Anzu and Yugi waved to her as ran toward them. She reached them and stopped to catch her breath.
"Did you oversleep again," Anzu asked.
"No," Mana whined, "I got lost."
Anzu and Yugi laughed as they doubled over holding their sides. Mana sticks out her tongue at them. Atem chuckled before he walked over to her and wrapped his arm around her waist pulling her toward him. She looked up at him smiling as she placed a hand onto his chest. The other two were still laughing as they kissed.
"You should've called love," he said, "I would've come to your location and walked with you here."
"You're so sweet Temmy."
They walked into the school to exchange their shoes while they talked before heading to their class. Yugi and Anzu were talking about something that didn't interest the couple since they were in their own little world.

Mana had invited Atem to her house for a movie night. She was making sure that she had enough snacks and drinks. She heard the doorbell which told her that he was here. She smiled before walking to the door and answered it to see Atem standing there. He was wearing a black sleeveless shirt, dark blue leather pants and wore two large wrist bands on both wrists. Mana smiled at him taking in the sight of her boyfriend. They kissed as he stepped inside.
"Sorry, I'm late love," he said as he held up a flower that he brought with him.
"Oh you're so sweet," she cooed taking the flower from him.
Atem smiled glad that she loved the flower that he brought her. They walked into the living room as she put the flower into a vase. He removed his shoes and sat down onto the couch. Mana joined him and curled up to him on the couch. He chuckled as he wrapped his arm around her shoulders. She pulled up the movie that they were planning on watching for the night. They sat there as the movie played. Mana placed her head onto his shoulder.
Atem looked at her from the corner of his eye as he was staring at her face then moved down to her body. He did notice that she developed into a beautiful girl and that it was enough to make him see her in a different light. She was still his sweet adorable girlfriend but she was also a woman now and he had taken notice. He looked at her lips as the desire to take her was over taking him. He turned back to the screen while trying to keep his teenage hormones under control. Mana looked up at him and their lips met.
He cupped her cheek as he pushed her hair back in the process. She placed a hand onto his chest as they deepened the kiss. She could feel herself getting warm with desire. She had noticed how handsome and attractive he had become and she couldn't believe that this man was her sweet loving boyfriend that treated her like a queen.
They pulled away and tried to look at the screen even the desire was burning within them. She knew that if they kept going then it could lead to something else that neither of them had done before. She placed her head onto his chest as she looked at the screen.
"Hey Atem,"
"Yes love, is something wrong?"
"Um, we've been together for a while and I…."
"Mana, are you alright?"
Her face turned red. She didn't know how to say this without being so direct with him. She loves this boy and would do anything for him. He was her soul mate and one true love. She knew that if she were to do something like this then it would be with him. She couldn't imagine anyone but him in her life and as her love. She looked up at him so that way she could see his face as she spoke her next words carefully.
"Will you make love to me?"
Atem's eyes widened as she asked this. He had thought about it but didn't want to scar her. Mana was everything to him and since the day he first kissed her in the game shop's storage it was the best day of his life. This girl did things to him that no one else has or ever will. Mana became his past, present and future that day.
"A-are you sure about that love? We've never done anything like that before."
"I know but I can't help it. I love you and I know that this is right. I do know that I want it to be you. You're the only one that I want to do this."
"You do realize that once we do this then there's no going back."
"I know and I don't care. I love you and I want to show you in any way I can."
"I love you too Mana and I do want to make love to you but I just want to make sure that this is what you really want."
"It is,"
Neither of them said a word after that. The movie was halfway over at this point but they weren't really watching anymore. Mana stood up and grabbed his hand pulling him to his feet. They both were nervous since this was their first time that they would do something like this.

Graduation was around the corner and they have become closer in their relationship. Atem had already decided that he was ready for marriage after high school. His mother and grandfather had told him that he should wait for a bit after graduation but he was determined to marry Mana. She was the one after all.
Mahad, his mother and grandfather had caught them sleeping together during their second year of high school; that time they had been sleeping together for a few months now. Atem was looking at rings in a jewelry store inside the mail. Yugi and the other guys decided to tag along. Atem was looking through the engagement rings that they had available.
"Ya sure about this man," Jonouchi asked.
"I'm sure," Atem replied, "she's the one."
"You should wait bro," said Yugi, "I know that you two have been dating since we were kids but still…"
"Yugi don't talk me out of this," Atem snapped, "I'm going to marry her whether you approve or not."
"I'm disapproving anything," said Yugi, "but aren't you a bit young for marriage?"
Atem sighed knowing that his friends and brother were only looking out for him. He had known from the first time that he saw Mana on that swing that she was the one that he wanted to spend the rest of his life with. He couldn't imagine life without her in it. He looked down at a ring that he liked but it was too much money and of course he didn't have a job since it was against school rules to have one; so he couldn't afford anything like this.
"Hey come on guys," said Honda, "let's go get some pizza."
"Good idea," said Bakura, "let's go get something to eat, Atem."
"Fine," Atem replied.
They walked to the food court and shared a large pizza. Jonouchi was going on about his old man getting drunk and that they were about to lose their apartment with his father's debt getting bigger. Jonouchi was doing what he could to keep them in the apartment. He had gotten a few jobs without the school knowing to pay off the bills and for his schooling.
"That's sucks man," said Honda.
Atem was busy looking through his phone looking for jewelry stores that have a ring that he would be able to save up for. He sighed as he couldn't find one that he knew that he would be able to afford in a few years. He wanted to marry Mana as soon as possible and knew that by the time that he could afford a ring then he would be in his late forties.
"Well, you could work at my old man's game store," said Otogi, "we can use a hand."
"Hey great idea," said Jonouchi, "when should I show up?"
"How about after school tomorrow."
"You got it."
Otogi looked at Atem as he was looking through his phone. Atem looked up to see him staring at him. He knew that Otogi was thinking about asking him for help but that might not go well with his grandfather if he worked for another game store. Otogi turned back to Jonouchi to continue their conservation about him working for his family.

Atem had been doing odd jobs that a high school student was able to do in order to save up for a ring to prose to Mana with someday. He was walking home from helping a friend of his mother's husband with yard work. The husband did pay him a few bills. He had told the husband that he wanted to buy a ring to prose to his girlfriend after they graduated from high school. The husband gave him extra since he had explained that he loved Mana for years and knew that she was the one that he wanted to be with her forever.
He came to the game shop and opened the door to see his grandfather standing there behind the counter. Atem had made Yugi promise not to tell their mother or grandfather that he was doing odd jobs to save up for a ring. Yugi told him that he would get in trouble if they learned what he was doing. He would get an earful from his mother about not telling her what he was doing and his plan to save up for a ring.
"Hello Atem," said his grandfather.
"Hey grandpa," he replied as he walked into the shop.
"Your mother and I need a word with you."
Atem didn't like the sound of that. He walked up the stairs with his grandfather right behind him. His mother was sitting at the table drinking some tea. She looked up to see him standing there. She set her tea down in front of her.
"Sit," she demanded.
Atem knew better than to argue with his mother. He sat down as she demanded while his grandfather sat down at the table between them. His mother looked at him with a look that said that she knew what he had been up to.
"My friend called and said that I should be so proud that my son wants to save up to buy a ring for his girlfriend."
She glared at him daring him to argue but he knew better than that. She nodded before she continued knowing that he wouldn't interrupt until she was finished.
"I've gotten a call from a few of our neighbors saying that you've been coming to them to do some odd jobs. Mind telling me why you thought that it was a good idea to go behind our backs so you could do this?"
"Well, you know that I love Mana and that I've talked about marrying her. I wanted to save up for a ring without anyone helping me," he replied, "I wanted to buy a custom ring that matches her eyes, so I've been looking around the neighborhood to earn some extra money before I go looking for a job."
"You could have come to us," said his grandfather.
"Atem," said his mother as she calmed down, "I know that you love this girl more than anything but you don't have to try so hard with her. She already loves you like crazy and wouldn't care about the ring that you give her. She'll say yes because it's you asking for her hand."
"I know but I want it to be special," Atem explained.
His grandfather had pulled out a small from his pocket while they spoke and set it onto the table. When he and the boys' mother learned about what Atem had been up to they both decided that he was ready for this since it was clear that he was serious.
"Take this," said his grandfather as he pushed it toward him.
Atem looked down at the small box before he opened it to see a ring inside. He didn't remember seeing this ring before. He looked up at his grandfather confused.
"That use to belong to your grandmother," he explained, "She would want you to have it."
"I can't take this," Atem replied before pushing it back toward him.
"Oh yes you can," said his grandfather, "I know that she would want it to remain in the family. I know that she'll be happy to know that her grandson is giving it to a girl that is worth the world to him."
Atem didn't know what to say. He looked at his grandfather and mother. His grandfather nodded as his mother gestured for him to take it.
"Mana is a very special girl," said his mother, "if she's worth it then go ahead and take it. I know how happy she makes you and you deserve to be happy."
"Thank you, I'll pay you back for this."
"Don't worry about it," said his grandfather, "just make sure that you give me a great-grandchild. That's thanks enough for me."
Atem nodded and took the ring. He had the ring now the next thing was how would he go about asking for Mana's hand.
#
The graduation ceremony had ended and Atem was going over his plan in his head. He had planned on asking Mana to marry him when they were surrounded by the people that they cared about. He had told his mother and grandfather his plan and they thought that was a good idea. They had invited all of his friends to join them for dinner after the ceremony.
His mother had asked Mana and Mahad to come as well which they agreed. Atem had told his friends his plans and they all wanted to be there. Yugi had agreed to make sure that everything went according to plan. They arrived at the restaurant and were seated in a room where it was just their party. Jonouchi's mother and sister had come along since they wanted to see him graduate from high school.
Atem was getting a little nervous as the time was getting closer. Everyone had finished eating and cheers were being passed around. Atem stood up from his seat. Yugi noticed and tapped his glass to get everyone's attention signaling that it was time. Everyone went quiet as Atem approached Mana. They hadn't said anything to her or Mahad about this.
Atem took her hand and get down on one knee. Mana looked at him confused wondering what he was doing. Mahad looked just as confused as she was.
"Mana," said Atem, "We've been together for a long time and during that time; I've experienced many things. I've experienced love, Joy and pure happiness. Every moment with you is the best time of my life. I love your smiling, your beautiful voice, your beautiful emerald eyes and your wondrous personality. That day on the playground was the best day of my life because I got to meet the person that I want to spend my life with. Mana, my love, beautiful sweet love, will you do me the honor and…"
He pulled out the small box from his pocket. She gasped as he opened it to see the ring inside. Mahad's eyes widened as he realized what was going on here.
"And become my wife?"
Mana looked at the ring then at the man holding it. She couldn't believe it; he was actually prosing to her. Tears of joy flowed down her face. She wanted to marry this man but never thought that he would ask so soon. Without warning she jumped into his arms wrapping her arms around him as she tackled him to the floor. The others were laughing at her reaction not at all surprised that she would do this.
"Yes," she cried, "I will marry you Temmy."
Atem smiled and slipped the ring onto her finger. They stood up and everyone clapped while congratulating them. The waiter came back to collect their trash when Atem's grandfather asked for champagne. The waiter looked at him confused.
"We got an engagement to celebrate," he replied.
The waiter nodded while smiling before walking away. He came back with champagne and several desserts that he said that it was on the house for the happy couple.

Mana sat in the living room with her husband as they watched TV curled up on the couch together. Atem wrapped his arm around her shoulders and kissed her forehead tenderly. Mana had been feeling sick for the past few days and Atem was getting worried about his beloved wife's wellbeing. Mana placed her head onto his shoulder as they watched TV.
"Are you feeling any better love?"
"I'm fine Temmy,"
"Did the doctor call back with the results yet?"
"No, not yet."
At that moment the phone rang. Mana leaned to the side to answer causing her pull away from her husband. She was missing his warmth as she pulled away. Atem watched her as she answered the phone. Mana held it up to her ear as she spoke. Atem couldn't hear the person on the other line but from what he could hear from her side of the conservation made him figured that it was the doctor.
"Really," Mana cried out happily which made him raise a brow.
"Thank you very much, yes, you too bye doctor."
She hung up the phone and turned to her husband with a huge smile on her face. Atem's heart began to race at her smile. She always had that effect on him no matter long they've been together. She jumped onto him and started showering him with affection.
"I take it that the results were good," he asked.
"Better than that," she replied taking his hand and placing it onto her stomach.
Atem's eyes widened as he realized what she was implying. She smiled at his face finding it adorable as he looked at her as to confirm his suspense's.
"You're going to be a daddy," she said still smiling.
Atem smiled and pulled her into a passionate kiss. They had talked about starting a family and now it was really happening. They were very happy to learn that they were going to be parents. Atem leaned down to her stomach and kissed her stomach making her smile grow wider. This was the happiest day of their lives.

Mana sat in the hospital bed holding her baby girl in her arms. Atem stood there beside his wife and daughter. He smiled down at his family. He placed a hand onto his daughter's head as he kissed his wife. Mana smiled up at her husband before looking down at her little girl.
"She's so beautiful Mana," he said.
"She has your eyes," she replied, "our little Akil."
The door opened and the nurse came in to the room to take their daughter for a checkup. Mana handed off her daughter and watched as she was taken to be examined. Atem sat down onto the bed beside his wife and kissed her lips.
"I can't wait to show her off," she said.
"Me too," he replied.
"Did you send the photo to everyone?"
"I did and I got a few replies saying on how cute she is."
Mana smiled. They had told their family and friends that they wanted it just to be them in the delivery room. Their family understood and decided to respect their wishes as the parents. When they announced that they were expecting at a family gathering that Atem's family was having where I even invited Mahad since he and Mana were each other's only family; the whole room was filled with excitement.
Mahad and Yugi were excited that they were going to uncles while Atem's grandfather was happy to have a great-grandchild. Atem's mother couldn't believe that she was going to be a grandmother as Anzu; whom had married Yugi, was excited to be an aunt.
When they learned that they were having a girl; Mana invited the family over and they told them by handing out cupcakes that had food coloring inside of them. When the others learned that it was a girl there was excitement. The baby shower gifts were perfect for a baby girl. Mana was grateful that her mother-in-law and sister-in-law put it together for her.
Atem was there since it was his child too. They had the shower at their house where it ended up becoming a family and friends baroque. Now that she was born meant that everyone would want to see the baby which they had to be strict to protect their newborn. The nurse came back with their daughter healthy as can be.
Atem picked her up and brought her over to her mother. Mana smiled as he gave her their daughter. She held her to her chest smiling down at her. Atem sat down beside his family and wrapped his arms around them.
"I love you," he said.
"I love you too," she replied before they kissed.

Eight year old Akil stood there looking down at her baby brother that was in her mother's arms. Atem stood beside his daughter smiling down at his son. Mana had learned that she was pregnant with their son and told Atem when he came home from work that day. They couldn't be happier that their family was growing. They sat their daughter down and told her that she was going to be a big sister. Akil of course didn't understand what that meant which they explained.
They made sure that she knew means that they didn't love her any less and that they would have to give the baby a little more attention since it couldn't do anything for itself for a while. Akil was like her father and was actually okay when they explained things to her. Akil looked up at her father then back at her baby brother. Atem smiled at his daughter and placed a hand on top of her head like he always did. Mana looked over at her husband and daughter then back at her son.
"Akil," she said, "meet your baby brother Adom."
"He's squishy," said Akil as she lightly poked his arm making her parents laugh.
"You were too when you were baby," Atem explained.
"I was?"
"Yes you were," Mana replied.
"Mommy can I hold him?"
"Of course sweetie,"
She held out her son to her daughter. Akil took her little brother and was helped in holding him by her father. They looked down at their children while smiling. Akil began to bounce up and down to sooth her little brother to sleep.
"Aren't you a good big sister," said Mana, "you're so sweet."
"You're doing great Akil," said Atem.
They looked at each other then back at their children. The door opened and Yugi stepped in with his wife. Anzu awed at the sight of her niece holding her baby brother.
"Aren't you a good big sister," she said, "do you like your baby brother Akil?"
"My baby brother," Akil replied holding him to her chest making the adults laugh finding it adorable.
"She's going to be a good big sister," said Yugi.
"I know," Atem replied.
"She's takes after her father."
"What do you mean by that?"
"Well you were a great big brother to me and I know that she'll be the same way with him."
"I guess you're right."
"Who would have thought," said Anzu, "that day you two met on the playground would lead to this."
"I know," said Mana, "I'm the luckiest girl alive. I have two adorable children and an amazing husband."
"I'm the lucky one love," Atem replied before they kissed.
"I love you Atem,"
"I love you too Mana."
