Hi! This is pretty sappy but TW anyways. Tragedy and slight depression. Don't worry though. It ends happily! Just fluff! Have fun reading!

Grumble!

Alex rolled his eyes and said,"Jesus Als just go out and hunt."

Alexandra glared and said,"I'm busy. Besides I'm not that hungry." Her stomach grumbled.

Alex laughed and said,"Clearly your stomach doesn't agree."

She rolled her eyes and said,"I've gone longer, Alex." He rolled his eyes and said,"That's not the point."

She ignored his comment and continued scratching away on her parchment.

He walked over and peered over her shoulder.

"Cold in my professions, warm in my friendships, I wish, my Dear Maria, it might be in my power, by action rather than words, to convince you that I love you." He read aloud. She blushed and grabbed her stack of papers.

He smirked and said,"Awwww. Someone's in love." John walked into their tent right as Alex said that.

He raised his eyebrows and Allie hissed at him, bearing her fangs. He raised him hands.

"I'm innocent!" He exclaimed. She laughed and then accidentally dropped her stack of papers. They flew everywhere and Alex shook his head.

The three kneeled down and together picked up the sheets of paper.

Allie quickly grabbed the letter out of their hands but John managed to catch a snippet.

He read it aloud,"You will always continue to merit the partiality, which you—" Allie grabbed the sheet of paper and ran out of the tent, red faced.

Alex and John looked at each other and burst into laughter.

"Why's she so embarrassed about Maria?" John asked, still laughing.

Alex shook his head. "That's not my story to tell."

John looked curious but didn't press. Alex looked at him and said,"She'll tell you eventually."

John smiled and said,"Your relationship with her is amazing. You're so close." Alex smiled.

Then they heard a scream. It was Allie's.

John and Alex jumped up and ran out of the tent. They saw Allie on the floor and Eliza standing over her.

Tears were streaming down Allie's face. Alex rushed over and pulled her up. Allie hugged him and sobbed.

John turned to Eliza and asked,"What happened?" Eliza sighed sadly and pulled John over.

"Maria—Maria d-d—" Eliza's voice broke. John gasped and turned back to the sobbing Allie.

He pulled her into a hug and she shook. "M-m-maria!" She sobbed.

Alex's face paled and he turned to them. "What happened?"

"SHE'S GONE!" Allie screeched. By this point the others were walking over to see the problem.

Peggy came sprinting over and pulled Allie away from John. She began whispering to her and smoothing down her hair. Both girls sank to the ground.

Peggy was Allie's best friend and was the one who had set up Allie and Maria.

Lafayette, Herc, and Angelica popped up and looked at Eliza.

She looked at them mournfully and said,"She's gone."

They all gasped and ran over to Allie and Peggy. They hugged them. Alex and John hugged each other, both crying.

The General walked over and his face fell. He turned to Eliza and said,"I-i-i'm guessing they know."

Allie pushed away everyone holding her and stumbled over to the general.

Her nose was running, tears streaked her pale face, and she was breathing raggedly. She walked up to his and pounded her fists on his torso.

Alex rushed over and tried to pull her away but she pushed him back.

"Y-y-you! Y-you sent h-h-her on t-that mission! It's your FAULT!"

He looked at her sadly and said,"I know."

Allie cried and hit him again. He grabbed her wrists. She tried to pull them back but the general pulled her into a hug.

She sobbed and tears streamed down his face too.

One month later…

The funeral had been a grim affair. Allie had sobbed through the whole thing and had stayed besides the grave for three days straight.

It had been an empty casket funeral. The body had never been recovered.

Allie had taken it the hardest. She didn't eat or sleep. The only she did was sit in the graveyard and write. She didn't talk .

Everyone had tried to cheer her up or at least take away some of the pain. Peggy had tried to take her to her favorite place. Alex got her a new set of quills and inks. John had offered to take her to the beach for night swimming. Even Jefferson her sworn enemy had tried to annoy her into arguing.

Nothing worked.

It was a foggy, dark day that Saturday. Allie and Alex were in their tent, both writing. The candles kept being blow out by the rain or wind.

Someone screamed. Alex sat up but Allie ignored it.

"I'm going to go check that out, Allie. Be back in a second." Allie nodded.

Alex walked out into the fog. He looked around for the direction the scream had come from. Alex frowned but shrugged.

"It's probably nothing." Alex said. He began walking back to his tent when he heard another scream. It was familiar and much closer.

Alex realized that it had come from his tent. He sprinted back.

Hurrying into the tent, Alex saw his sister on the floor, unconscious in the arms of a girl in red.

Alex gasped and stammered,"M-m-maria?!" The girl smiled and said,"What's up Alex?"

Alex felt his knees grow weak and he fell back onto the bed. "Y-y-you're supposed to be dead?"

Maria smirked. "Aren't we all?" Alex rolled his eyes and said,"You know what I mean."

Maria sighed and said,"I was. Or was in some sort of comatose state? I honestly don't know. All I remember is the feeling that I couldn't leave Allie."

Alex smiled and said,"We missed you." Maria nodded and said,"What happened?"

"You knocked her out she fell apart. Allie can't live without you." Maria pulled Allie into a hug and Allie peeped.

"Mar?" Allie whispered. "I-i-is it really you?" Maria smiled at her and grabbed Allie's hand. "In the flesh."

Allie snorted. "You are too much Maria Lewis." Maria smirked and said,"That's why ya' love me." With that she pulled Allie in and kissed her.

Alex watched and Allie pulled away and said,"Hey Alex could you not stare? It kinda ruins the mood." Alex rolled his eyes and said,"Well this is my tent too, sis."

Maria laughed.

Just then John rushed into their tent. Everyone froze. John's eyes widened when he saw Maria.

"Maria?" She smiled and said,"How's life been going for you this past month John?"

One year later…

"You may now kiss the bride."

Maria dipped Allie down and every applauded. They separated a minute later and both women smiled.

They turned back to their friends who cheered.

Maybe life would work out for all of them.

Hi! Sorry for the sappy ending but I don't like killing my characters...sometimes. :) Anyways reviews are always welcomed and greeted with joy! Also if anyone had any story requests or prompts I will happily try my best to do them! Also BTW everyone is a vampire. That's not really clear and doesn't really relate or add to the story but ya know. Anyways...

Au revoir lecteurs!
