A/N: This is a story that I have been planning on writing for a long time now which is why I'm really excited to finally publish it since this is my first fanfiction I have ever written. Because of the fact that I love One Piece so much I've decided that I want to write a fanfiction about my ultimate favorite ship that doesn't really get the attention that it deserves in my opinion:( Sir Crocodile and Don Quixote Doflamingo have always been my favorite antagonists as well as characters and therefore it was really important for me that the story was going to be well written and interesting.

Just keep in mind that I'm not a native English speaker so I apologize for all the screw ups and mistakes that you may find, but I still hope that the text is still readable!

Disclaimer: I do not own One Piece or it's characters, all the rights belong to Eiichiro Oda, and I make no money or profit for this fanfiction. This is just for my own entertainment alone, and also because I was bored LOL.

CHAPTER 1 - The gift

The time was almost eight in the afternoon which meant that he had been working for almost nine hours straight during the whole day. Sir Crocodile sat at his large wooden desk, which for the time being was covered with piles of heavy documents that never seemed to end. This pushed his annoyance even further when the warlord was feeling walled in by what he presumed to be claustrophobia despite him being in his underwater office. Putting aside his feather pen into the ink he slowly raised his right hand to his temple where it really started to hurt, perhaps by the lack of sleep and exhaustion of continuing defeating low class scum pirates who attacks the island while the people see him as their hero, the "dessert king" without knowing his full intentions. For the time being the only thing he wanted to achieve was to keep his grand scale organization of Baroque Works hidden from all kinds of authorities including keeping his own identity a secret to his own employees that knows him by his alias Mr. 0. If everything keeps going smoothly then he will finally gain full power of the Alabasta Kingdom and finding the powerful secret weapon Pluton…

Moments later a familiar voice was heard behind the large wooden door to his office which put an end to his daydreams.

" Sir Crocodile I just received something that looks like a gift for you".

Crocodiles eyebrows furrowed questionably over his forehead when hearing this as he thought for himself if the "gift" was just something given by the miserable citizens for all of his "good deeds."

"Does it say from whom it is from, Miss All Sunday? If it is sent from an pathetic admirer then I won't even bother to waste my time to look at" he said while glancing at the large amount of paperwork that needed to be done.

"It doesn't say anything about who sent it or even from which address it is from. The only thing that came with it was a letter with your name printed on the front side of the envelope, and yes I have already inspected it Sir. It only came with a wrapped object inside a bag."

He listened to her words as she described the strange gift that had managed finding its way to him. While in thought he rubbed his golden hook that was attached to his arm. One of his banana wani pulled itself out of the aquarium looming into the light just outside its glass before Crocodile. His heavy lidded golden eyes meet with the large creature as if it sensed its master change of mood. After a long minute of silence he finally let her enter thinking that it was just something innocent enough to take a look at. The heavy doors started to open revealing the tall slender woman wearing her skimpy purple cowgirl outfit together with a white fur-lined coat as she emerged through the entrance.

"That surely took a long time for you to decide" Nico Robin said in her calm seductive voice.

Crocodile glanced at her while taking of his reading glasses. "You should know that I am a very busy man who doesn't have time with interruptions, especially at times such as these."

Robin didn't say anything immediately but instead she just smiled at him in a mischief kind of way. "Of course, I already have full understanding of how little free time you have, but still how you will respond to your secret admirer". She gave him the envelope as well as the package that was wrapped. Instead of her helping him opening it (since he only have his right hand) he took it from her hands and skillfully opened the gift himself with his golden hook.

The thing that was inside was nothing particular really but only a large and rather luxurious bottle that looked like red wine. He stared at it for a while in confusion because he did not understand why someone would give this to him when suddenly he realized something.

This wine was named "Chateau Des Reves Marquis" and according to his memory he had tasted this wine long time ago from a place he couldn't remember or with whom he was accompanied with. However when he realized what brand this wine was he immediately remembered the undistinguished mouthful and watery flavors of dried cherries, rum, stewed plums and figs. Out of all the wine he had tasted through all his life he knew that this was the only wine that had real varietal characteristics.

"Hmm wine? Is it from someone you already know based on the fact that you love red wine?" Robin replied with a curious look. Crocodile did not answer because in reality he himself didn't know how to react to this odd situation. Even if he really wanted to pour a glass he still feel suspicion on to why someone would give him red wine of this very brand. Finally he did pour himself some wine but asked Robin if she would taste it first just to make sure. Although she saw right through his intentions she carefully took the glass knowing that he would never taste something without making sure that it wouldn't harm him. As she drank from the glass she could instinctively feel the dry refreshing wine which ran down through her throat. To her amazement this was probably the best wine she had ever tasted which was immediately noticed by her expression alone. Crocodile saw as her eyes lid up and how she seemed to want another glass.

"Good isn't it?"

A smile crept over her face as she heard his question.

"This person clearly seems to be a professional in wine tasting" Robin said as she handed over him the glass which was then poured by another shot. When Robin left his office Crocodile did not hesitate this time and slowly drank the whole thing trying to get the nostalgic feel from his youth that he thought he lost which kept on until there was nothing left from the bottle. Although he had lots of work left to do he feel the sudden urge to go to sleep which was just out of character since he usually goes to sleep very late at night or sometimes never which was considered as a very bad habit according to Miss All Sunday. That night he didn't even have the strength to walk towards to the bed, as if he had somehow lost all of his strength so he just collapsed on his armchair instead.
