"HA! Hahahaha! Hahaha!" Minoru quickly made his way into his dorm room and slammed the door shut and locked it. He quickly fell to his knees covering his mouth with his hands trying to silence his laughter.
No matter how he tried, the laughter just kept pouring out from deep within him. He couldn't stop it.
To understand this odd scene before you, you need to be informed of what's been happening with a certain Minoru Mineta of class 1-A for the past 4 days.
You see, for the past 4 days, Minoru had been having quite the rough week. Lately he had been getting bullied and harassed by other students outside his class. The reasons behind was as you'd expect, him being a pervert, being short, looking weird or just being generally useless.
Minoru honestly wasn't new to this at all. He had been bullied before UA, but this time it was just a bit more aggressive than middle school. These bullies were drawing very cruel things on his desk, vandalizing his stuff, playing cruel jokes on him as well. He couldn't lie, it was really getting to him when harsh words like "Go kill yourself" or "You deserve to die" got thrown around. Jesus yes he was perverted but that shits over the top.
Minoru tried going to the teachers about this, they said they'd handle it. However it didn't seem to do much. He thought about telling Denki about it, but he decided not too. He didn't want to bother em, he had finally hit it off with Jirou and he didn't want to bother him with his issues.
He considered telling some of the other students but, he thought, what would even be the point? None of them really had a high opinion about him, except for maybe Midoriya but he's the kind to keep his mouth shut.
He was on his own here. The teachers can hardly help and his classmates can't help either or maybe they wouldn't even help.
All this stress was wearing down on Minoru very slowly. Day by day the mental strain got worse and worse until...it happened. A giggle. A small giggle in the middle of class. Then the giggle got louder and louder. His classmates and Aizawa took notice and all eyes we're on him. Aizawa tried getting the boys attention but it was in vain as Minoru's giggle turned into a full blown laugh. Aizawa as well as some other students, mainly Bakuguo, Iida, Momo, and Jirou became increasingly annoyed as Minoru howled with laughter. However his laughter then turned rather manic...in fact. The laughter was starting to sound down right demented, which really unnerved the class and even Aizawa to a small degree.
Minoru couldn't stop, no matter how hard he strained. He could only think of one thing to do. He had to leave the classroom and he wasted no time doing so getting up for his seat and dashing out of the room without a second thought. Minoru ran down the hall with his hand over his mouth trying to muffle the laughter just even a little, but it still rang loud and true. The boy made it to a bathroom and ran inside and locked himself in a stall.
The laughter lasted for a solid 10 minutes before Minoru was finally able to control himself and stop. He panted and panted trying to catch his breath, his throat was kinda hoarse and scratchy from all the hard laughing. However he was relieved it was all over.
Or so he thought. Afterwards Aizawa chewed him out and punished him for his disruption of class. Yeah he didn't really buy the uncontrollable laughing fit, somehow Minoru wasn't surprised he didn't. His classmates except Midoriya and Kaminari didn't really believe him either.
From that day until right now, these random laughing fits started. They mostly kicked up when he was stressed or thinking about how to deal with these bullies. They would last about the same time the first one did. However the times they started up were less than desirable. In class, combat training, at lunch, in the middle of the night. God it was an inconvenience. For 4 whole days now these fits happened 3 or 4 times each day.
It honestly got to a point where his classmates were kinda creeped out by him more than usual. Also to a point where Aizawa actually started to believe Minoru about the fits being controllable. To which he told the boy to come to him if they get worse. Which they haven't, thank God, but still Minoru did not like them at all. He sounded like that prick Monoma from class 1-B. Now if you wanna talk about creepy assholes now THAT GUY is really someone who will really make your blood boil, Minoru had thought to himself.
Seriously he just did not like that guy whatsoever. Off topic, back on track. Minoru had no idea what was causing these laughing fits and it honestly scared him. He figured he was slowly going crazy or something. Either way, that sums up everything to this present moment. Normally the laughing would have stopped by now...but it kept up even after the 10 minute run time.
"Hahaha! W-What!?~ Hahahaha! I-It's not stopping! HAHAAAA! Hahahahahaha!" Minoru fell to the floor clutching his side and his head as both seared in pain. This was new, his head or side were never in pain before and….his vision was starting to blur.
"Hahaha! Hahaha….haha….h-help...s-someone...hahhaha….Hahahahaa! Hahah…..ha…..ha….ahhh…" With a final faint giggle, the boys eyes shut close and he went limp.
Silence filled the room and Minoru's body laid still and stiff as a corpse. Then suddenly, the boys fingers twitched. Then his eyes flicked open slightly, his body began to show small signs of movement once again. Minoru slowly lifted his head and stood up cracking his joints.
"HMMM!~" Minoru stretched smiling in a goofy manner.
"Hehehe, huh?" Minoru then glanced at his hands, body and surroundings with childish curiosity.
"Hahaha...no way. Am I ACTUALLY in control right now?!~ Amazing!~ How wonderful!~" Minoru laughed out loud and spun around. "Ahhh, so this is what it's like to be the head." He smiled.
"Oh it must be my birthday! Hehehe, sorry Minoru!~ But looks like I'm driving for the time being!~ Hahahaha! Enjoy the backseat!~" The small boy danced around.
This split personality then went to Minoru's wall mounted mirror and looked into it. He looked mostly the same. The only difference is that his eyes were now a magenta purple and his cheeks were a bit more red and rosey.
"Hey good lookin.~ What's cookin?~ You!~ Hahahaha!" The boy erupted with laughter again.
"However, I'm afraid there's no time to waste here! I mean who KNOWS when I'll get to be the head again! Hahahaha! Gotta make the most of this fantastic time!~ Now then...I should hit the workshop. I have a TON of ideas for marvelous toys for our tormentors Minoru.~ HAHAHAAAA!" The split personality backflipped over to the door and was about to open it to leave when suddenly…
*Knock! Knock!*
"AGGGHHH….Hahahaha! Company! Roll the Red Carpet!" The boy smiled and swung open the door.
"Um. Mineta-san?" Momo stood in front of the door with a concerned look.
"Oh my!~ Momo! This is a surprise! Hahahaha! WhatEVER brings you by, madam Yaoyorozu?" The boy bowed.
Momo was rather surprised by Minoru's greeting. She took a breath and spoke.
"Are you okay?" She asked softly.
"Hahahahaha! What's this?!~ You actually came to check on me?...OOOOOOHOHOHOHOHHOHOHAHAHA!~ It MUST be my birthday!~" He cheered and laughed.
Momo was very off put by his manic laughter but she held her ground.
"Yes, I have. Wouldn't I?" Momo asked.
"Becauuuuuuuuuuuuuse.~ YOU, don't like me.~" Minoru coed and he took a few steps back to let Momo in.
Momo was stunned this time. "W-What? I've never said that!" She spoke offendedly and walked into the room shutting the door.
"You may not have vocally stated it. However Momo...your not as unreadable as you'd like to believe.~ Awww, poor little Momooooooooo.~" Minoru giggles and he circled around Momo with his hands behind his back.
"Mineta-san. Your tone and attitude is very much not welcomed." Momo gave a stern look.
"Much like me!~ Not welcomed.~ But heeeey I don't care!~" He laughed.
"I never have!~ And that's what makes me strong!~ What's made me unhindered! Hahahaha!~" He spun around.
"Mineta-san, that isn't true. You are welcomed. You're part of this class." Momo assured him.
"Suuuure I am Momo!~ Sure.~ I guess that's why no one other than Denki ever really talks to me. Even you!~ Hahaha!~ But seriously Momo, get real. I'm by no means dumb. I can read others better than you'll ever know." The boy stopped and then looked at her dead in the eyes.
"But it's funny though. You trying to keep up the whole Mother Hen act around me like you actually care for me. Hahahhaha...I swear Momo sometimes I don't know whether ot not to kiss you or to carve your face like a pumpkin!~ Hahahahha! HahahahhaHAAAHOHO!~" Minoru threw his head back laughing.
Momo had chills running down her spine, his laugh was haunting. It sounded so deranged...and his eyes...that horrid smile on his face. He looked so deranged...his eyes were void of any true human emotion. His smile stretched so unnervingly wide. She felt the burning urge to step back and run out the room. However for whatever reason...she was rooted to the floor. She could hardly even speak. The way he stared into her eyes instilled fear deep into her, this was even more shocking knowing that this was coming from Mineta of all people. Of all people in her class, never did she think Mineta could ever appear so terrifying…
Yes he was a perverted creep but he could easily be dealt with but this time...this time was completely different.
Minoru stepped closer to the horrified girl. "What's wrong Momo? Cat got your tongue? Hmm?" Minoru smiled even more sinsterly as he bobbed his head left and right looking up at the taller girl.
"I-I…" Momo croaked trying to gather her words. She was falling apart at the scemes.
"No? Ah well then..l." Minoru tilted his head and walked to the girls side. "Allow me to retort." Before Momo could even think or react, Minoru quickly and swiftly swept her onto her back.
Momo fel with a thud, she gritted her teeth from the impact and shut her eyes. As she was recovering she felt a sudden weight on her lower chest...she opened her eyes and froze with horror as Minoru was looming over her just inches away from her face.
"That's a real funny joke but Momo….I'M THE ONE...who's making jokes today." Minoru's eyes turned even more horrifying and unstable.
"Okay?" He smiled crookedly. His eyes gave the overwhelming sense of death.
Momo was beyond scared...whatever words that were stuck in her throat have become utterly shattered. She sweated and shook prefussively. She didn't even have the will to struggle or even call out for help. She was paralzyed with fear of what Mineta was abou to do to her…
She just nodded her head slowly hoping he would be pleased. Just like that...Minoru booped her nose and got off of her. "Good! Glad we understand!" Minoru clapped his hands together happily with his goofy grin returning. He then offered a hand to her.
Momo looked from him and to his hand...small tears threatening to escape her eyes...this wasn't Mineta...whoever-no….WHATEVER this was...this was not him. She very slowly and cautiously took his hand. Minoru giggled and helped her up and dusted her off.
"Now then! A joke! For the road my dearest Momo.~ Why is 6 afraid of 7?...Cause 7 ate 9!~ HahahahahahhahaAAHHHAHAAA!" Minoru slapped his knee as he howled with laughter.
She didn't want to laugh...the joke wasn't bad but this disturbing and chilling aura he radiated killed whatever emotions other than fear in her.
"HaahahaOOH!~ I love that joke!~ Cracks me up everytime!~ Ahhh….okay get out!~" Minoru laughed, pushing and shooing Momo out his room.
"I'm busy you see Lambchop!~ Minoru here has some BIG plans to set up!~ Hahahaha! Ooh!~ I can't wait!" He giggled opening the door and Momo out.
"Hahahaha! See yaaaaa!~ Due visit again when I'm not so busy!~ I'll entertain you AAAAALL day long!~ I'll even tell you my joke about the photon that checked into a hotel!~ Hahahahaha!"
"Oh and don't you go tattle telling.~ No need for anyone to get on high alert.~ Sooo mouth shut Momo-chaaaaan.~ Hehehehe.~" The boy then quickly slammed the door.
Momo stood there silent with her heart beating so fast as if it was going to burst. Her breaths soon started to pick up and become heavier and heavier. All the fear that was bottling up inside her was rising to the surface...before she knew it she was sprinting to her room ignoring anyone who called out to her. She quickly entered her room and slammed the door behind her. She pressed her back against the door and tried to catch her breath. Momo slowly slid down the door and sat down on the floor. She could only hang her head and hug her knees trying to comprehend what just happened...and what she should do…
Minoru readied himself to leave his dorm room and head off to the school to use the workshop. There was a certain girl he needed to find there. A certain pink haired girl.
"Hahahahahaha! Time to put my thank you surprise into the works! Those good sirs and ladies who have caused me such grief simply MUST be rewarded! Hahahha! They've given birth to something great! Something WONDERFUL! Hahahaha! They're laugh so much they're lungs will POP!~ HahahahaHAAAA!" Minoru laughed at his reflection in the mirror.
"Hahaha...hahaha..haaaa. Life sure has many great jokes.~ However….it's a shame no one really gets life's greatest joke." Minoru sighed with a smile.
"Ah well. Fun times now.~ Hehehehe.~" Minoru skipped out of his room and made his way to the school's workshop.
Today would be filled with laughter.
