chapter 1
Grune was a ghost vile creature. He was terrible and selfish but also full of pain he was terribly abused and abandoned as a child. He was desperate to break out of his tomb prison once more he got out. When he came upon something. "This truly is unusual I wonder what it is," Grune said.
"Grune what are you doing?" Jaga asked.
"It's none of your business," Grune said turning around and touching the object. It flashed and Grune gasped in surprise. There in Grune's place was a newborn Thunderian who looked like him.
"Find a family to raise him well, he has gotten a second chance I want to make sure he uses it well," the object said.
"I will find him a good family," Jaga said picking up the baby. He was going to take the newborn to the Thundercats. The newborn was fussing. "It's alright little one," Jaga said.
Lion-o and his wife Liosia were getting ready for bed. Liosia was deep in thought. "Liosia is everything alright?" Lion-o asked.
"We have been married for three years and we have been wanting for a baby for a little over year and a half, and I don't understand why we haven't been able to have one. The other Thundercats have children and I don't what's wrong with me?' Liosia asked.
"Nothing is wrong with you," Lion-o told her. "We will have to keep hoping and praying and one day our lives with be full of a child's a laughter." he said.
They went to bed.
Lion-o heard something as did Liosia waking them up. It was late at night. The couple was still wondering how they would soon have the thing the cherished most of all that was a baby. Then Lion-o and Liosia saw Jaga holding a baby Thunderian that looked a lot like Grune.
"This baby boy looks like Grune," Lion-o said.
"Grune touched an unknown object and it caused him to be reborn as a baby giving him a second chance with a new life. It asked me to find him a family." Jaga said.
"He's adorable," Liosia said and took the baby into her arms. "Hello," she said. The newborn was fussing a little. "It's okay," she said. The newborn settled.
"He is rather precious," Lion-o said looking at him. "We have been wanting a child," he said.
"Yes we have," Liosia said. "Lion-o do you think?" she asked.
"Yes am I thinking the same thing," Lion-o said.
"We have a son now," Liosia said.
"I think for this new life he should have new name," Lion-o said.
"I think so too," Liosia said.
"What do you have in mind on calling him?" Jaga asked.
"Hmm, what should we call our newly adopted son?" Lion-o said.
"How about Garnel? After the legendary Thundercat who was turned into a statue protecting your ancestor Lion-o?" Liosia asked.
"That is a wonderful idea," Lion-o said.
"Hello Garnel," Liosia said.
"Welcome to cat's lair Garnel," Lion-o said.
"Take good care of him, maybe then he will grow to be a good Thunderian," Jaga said and left.
Then the sun came up. "Look at that first light," Lion-o said. "The other Thundercats won't believe this," he said.
He was right the other Thundercats found it hard to believe but it was true. "So that little tyke is Grune?" Panthro asked.
"Was Grune Jaga said the object caused him to be reborn as a baby. Now he's a new born with all the same needs as any other baby," Lion-o said.
"He's kind of cute," Wilykit said.
"He sure is tiny," Wilykat said.
"Well since he's been given another chance we better make sure he grows up to be strong, brave, loyal, honest, honorable, and has the justice of a true Thundercat." Tygra said.
"Yes we will all make sure of that," Cheetara said.
"I'll get started making a crib for this little tyke," Panthro said.
"We will help out," Bengali said.
"What did you name him?" Snarfer asked.
"Garnel," Lion-o said.
"Ah yes the brave Thundercat who was turned into stone protecting Lion-o's ancestor, a fine name," Lynx-o said.
"Yes it is a good name for my grandson," Claudus said.
"Yes our little grandson," Leona said.
"Look at him he's such a cutie!" Clawrice said.
"He's going to be a fine Thundercat when he grows up," Leonard said.
'Well Garnel will be getting hungry soon, I know a trick that will all Liosia to nurse Garnel," Pumyra said.
"That would be a big help Pumyra thank you," Liosia said.
"Okay then," Pumyra said. "I also have to give Garnel a check up, we want to make sure he stays healthy." she said.
Liosia was in the medical bay holding Garnel who was getting fussy. Pumyra then did the trick she was talking about and now Liosia was about to nurse Garnel. Garnel started nursing right away. He was hungry. "Well his appetite is good," Pumyra said. "A sign that he's healthy," she said.
Once Garnel finished nursing Pumyra finished the exam. "He looks good, he's on happy healthy little baby." Pumyra said. Then Garnel yawned and went to sleep. "Looks like he's tired, babies need lots of sleep," she said.
"Yes they do," Liosia said.
Panthro finished the crib but first he made a bassinet which is a bed for newborns. Garnel was placed inside so he could sleep. Panthro and Tygra made a carrier that would allow Garnel to either rest against Lion-o or Liosia's middle or back for when he got older. Pumyra made one like a pouch sling so Liosia could carry Garnel and nurse him easily when she is out.
They took the spare room next to Lion-o's and Liosia's room made started to make it into a nursery. They started to paint the walls blue and place the crib and other furniture inside. Then it was ready to go for when Garnel was older.
Lion-o and Liosia were happy to have Garnel now. They now had a child they had been hoping for a child sometime.
Garnel was going to get lots of love and care from Lion-o, Liosia and the other Thundercats.
To be continued.
