Two unlucky parents have erratic and frequently temporary jobs, plus a beautiful and nubile teenaged daughter without living long term siblings, due to the fairly high child mortality rate in villages not far from the West Ugandan subregion of Rubirizi.
The mother was very stubborn, as she had been very angry for months because of her rage. Her rage was caused by the local village's persecution of people like her.

The lord Suleiman wasn't talking about giving her the treasure she needed, but warned her that his child Gash, the son of his dim-witted wife Juneau, will grow into a king slimier than him. He predicted it and was pretty much right though. (Gash became a king in 1879).
