It wasn't supposed to be this way, not really. The betrayal and the lies were never supposed to happen. The strange but alluring bond she felt towards the dark witches were definitely never supposed to mean a thing but in the end it did. It all did. It had to happen for the magical world to continue her betrayal had to happen.

The majority of the wizarding world didn't know that while the two sides of the war continued to cause chaos and try to out last the other, another fraction was slowly but surely taking off from the ground. This fraction was silent during the first wizarding war until its rightful leader could regain their seat.

Tom Riddle and Albus Dumbledore had no idea that within their tightly controlled orders, armies, pawns if you like had spies that reported back to the third fraction. Their gathered intel without revealing the secret fraction would lead them to outwit, out fight and out last the Order of the Phoenix and Voldemort's Death eaters.

Because let's face it brute force and rushing head long into traps will only hinder them but neither had the intelligent or patience to actually achieve their true goals and neither would.

Those within the third fraction much like the Phoenix has their own animal, their own symbol. The Seagull, while many see them as nothing but a bird that preys on people, a deeper meaning of the Seagull, of taking a moment and stepping back from everything you are currently handling, look at it from a different angle, from a different perspective. This group who when finally step into the light are known as The Flight each member has a small magical tattoo of the Seagull engraved forever upon their flesh. This mark much like the dark mark allows the leader to summon but unlike the dark mark the members are able to communicate between each other and are able to feel the thin threads that entwine the group.

The Flight has no desire to become the top dog, the mismatch group of people came together to stop the wars that broke out destroying their world, their homes. While their views may not always align with each other they do not share the God like behaviour of Albus Dumbledore nor do they share the belief of terror of Tom Marvolo Riddle, Voldemort. Everyone has a place in the world because without the non magical folk there would be no magical world and vice versa. Without the new bloods of Muggleborn the wizarding world would collapse, Purebloods would become extinct due to the increase of squibs, children born from magical families but hold no magic themselves, and their abandonment in the mundane world.

But can the third fraction actually be trusted? Why won't they around during the first war and why now?

And thus we come to the present. Taking place during the second wizarding war and during Harry Potter's third year, where the Tri-wizard Tournament takes place at Hogwarts. This story isn't about The Boy Who Lived but about The Flight's sudden appearance out into the public. Where long buried secrets and lies are exposed. The false pretences of Albus Dumbledore and Voldemort are revealed. The truth of what really happened between Gellert Grindelwald and Albus Dumbledore. The reasons why a young orphaned boy Tom Riddle became the second most feared Dark Lord to terrorise the wizarding and non magical worlds.
