Chapter 1. Percy.

Percy stepped out of the door of cabin three with a grin on his face. Just recently, he and the other heroes of Olympus had defeated Gaia and, quite frankly, he felt he deserved a rest and some peace and quiet. Of course, being a demigod, the tranquillity of the moment was broken by a noise. A piercing scream shattered the air. Percy ran to the source of the noise, just to find out Clarisse was shoving a new camper's head down the toilet. It was good some things never changed. A hand touched his shoulder. Instinctively, he spun round, pulling out his trusty pen, Riptide.

"Whoa Seaweed Brain, I'm not sure you want to swing your sword at me," a voice said, "besides, you don't want to go to college alone, do you?"

"Annabeth! You scared me!" Percy exclaimed. She stopped him from continuing by kissing him, which was something he did not object to.

" So are you ready for training?"

"I'm always ready Wise Girl."

"That is such a lame nickname."

Hours later, after they were both cut and bruised, Percy headed down to the lake to heal while Annabeth headed back to the Athena cabin to get some ambrosia. He glanced to his right, seeing the stream in which his father, Poseidon, had claimed him all those years ago. A pegasus swooped over the water, spraying Percy. He could stay dry if he concentrated, but this time he allowed the foam to douse him. For Percy Jackson, today was a good day.
