Just The Beginning...
He was no stranger to running. Running from the dead, running after Merle, running away from bullets. He'd been running from his old man since he was able to walk. But he had never run as far and as fast as he did following that car. He screamed her name for as long as he could before the car was finally out of his site. But still he ran after the trail that it left. And when he felt like his feet couldn't go any further, the car came back into view. But this time it was pulled over to the side of the road, not far from an abandoned warehouse of some kind. It looked like it stopped safely, no damage to the vehicle at all. Was it possible that Beth was still somewhere nearby? That the people who had taken her where in the area. He didn't take a moment to rest. His feet were almost numb and his legs aching, having run miles and miles to this point. It started to get dark as he positioned his crossbow in front of him, his knife safely at his hip. He looked around the outside of the warehouse before he dared to venture inside. He pressed his face against the front door, seeing what he could see through the fogged up glass window. It was pitch black inside and he couldn't hear anything. Had they turned in for the night? Or were they long gone, taking Beth with them on foot somewhere far away from here?
