Cat got your tongue

A/N: Hi everyone. Its`s been what like... A month since I last did anything on this website. Yeah... Sorry about that. I just have been busy with some stuff so I couldn`t really make time to write anything but hey good news. I have a laptop again. YEY! Of course, it's only for a short period of time. But I will try to make use of it as much as possible.

Also in case your wondering. This is a little story that was just stuck in my head for three days now and I just wanted to share it with you guys. Don`t worry the next update will be for "Her Champion".

Chapter 1.

The Potion.

"Aaaaaa..." Someone yawned as they came off the train that just arrived at its destination.

"Finally arrived in Magnolia." The figure wearing a dark purple coat with a hood over its head said in a pleased tone.

"I can`t wait to show my creation to Erza. She will be so impressed with me." The figure said in excitement as it started to make its way towards the Fairy Tail guild.

At the Fairy Tail guild:

It was around noon and surprisingly there weren`t too many people inside the guild. There were two usual drinking buddies there Macao and Wakaba, drinking the day away while talking about some girls they saw on the way to the guild.

Levy was sitting in the corner table of the guild reading a book. She was alone since her team went on the mission and Gajeel has not arrived at the guild yet. She had a smile on her face as she turned to another page enjoying the content of the book.

Gray was having a drinking contest with Cana. They set opposite of each other at the table with about thirty mugs of beer for each. The prize of their little game was whoever drinks more then the other must pay for all the booze they drank today.

Now Gray did not want to compete against Cana at first. But being bored out of his mind and not wanting for Juvia to appear out of nowhere and start giving him the stalker eyes. He took her offer and was now regretting it with both his stomach and his wallet.

Elfman was there as well. He is talking with his sister Mirajane about his last mission he went on. Where he used his manliness to conquer another man`s manliness in a form of manly man fight to prove who has bigger manliness. To which Mira only sweatdropped at his words and could only give her brother her sweet smile.

And finally, there was Erza Scarlet. She was sitting at her usual place at the bar, eating her favorite treat in the entire world. Strawberry cheesecake. However instead of eating it in her usual happy and blessed way. She was slowly picking into the sides of the dessert in what could only be seen as frustration with her right cheek leaning into her right palm.

The reason why she was like this was because the rest of her team was out on the mission. Now usually that wouldn`t really bother her if Natsu and Lucy decided to go on a job, just the two of them. But this time Erza was frustrated because she was going to ask Natsu first if he wanted to go with her on a job. Just the two of them.

But her blonde teammate beat her to the punch. She remembers how it all went down.

"FLASHBACK"

"Natsu" Erza called out to her teammate who just finished eating his breakfast.

"Yeah, Erza?" He said turning to her.

"Do you want to-"

"Hey, Natsu wanna go do this job with me. It has a really big prize money and I need it to pay my rent for the last month." Lucy said cutting Erza off before she could finish.

"Oh... Sure Luce" He said with a smile as Lucy glared at him for saying her name wrong "So what is the mission about?"

"It`s just scaring off some animals from eating some old guys crops," Lucy explained to which Natsu just looked at her with disappointment.

"Really Lucy... That is such a stupid job. I change-"

"We have no time idiot. Our train will be leaving soon" Lucy said in a raised voice as she started to drag Natsu out of the guild.

"HEY WAIT! I SAID I CHANGE-" The door closed before he could finish. Leaving Erza standing there looking at the closed entrance door of the guild.

"I... was... going to ask him to go..." Her words died in her throat as she looked down at the job poster in her hand. It was an S-class job asking to eliminate the dark guild in a small town. The reward was very good but she knew Natsu didn`t really care about that. All he would have been interested in was that it is an S-class mission.

She huffed in frustration as she went back to the second floor. Pinned the it back to the board for someone else to take it and march back down the stairs and towards the bar.

By this time Gray arrived into the guild and saw how few people there are. Decided to ask on it.

"Man, where is everyone? Did I miss something?" He asked no one. He saw Erza come down the stairs and towards the bar where she ordered the strawberry cheesecake. He was about to ask her if she knew anything but the dark aura around her made him shut his mouth and walk over to where Cana was sitting.

"END OF FLASHBACK"

She let out a sigh as she took another bite out of her cake. She knew it wasn`t a big deal and that they just went to get Lucy some money. But still couldn`t Lucy just pick someone else like Grey or Levy to go with her. Erza chuckled as she imagined Natsu scaring off animals while burning the old man's house on accident and Lucy crying anime tears as the old man took half of the pay for reapers.

She looks back down to her cake as another train of thoughts go through her mind. She was wondering why was this bothering her so much. She didn`t have anything against Lucy, as a matter of fact, she wanted everything best for Lucy. So why was this bothering her so much...

"It`s because you love him..." Her voice spoke in her head making her run her hands through her hair.

It was true ever since she realized that Jellal had no interest in relationships. She started developing feelings for the man who saved her more times then she could count. A man she would give her life for, a man she would like to hold in her arms and never let go.

She felt bad for being jealous of Lucy. But she can not blame her, she doesn't know yet.

She sighs as she gets up and starts walking towards the door. Not even bothering to look towards now drunk Cana who was holding up unconscious Grey under the arm as she singed the beer song.

Mira who finished talking with her brother and was now back behind the bar. She saw Erza leave the guild without a word. Her face adopted a sad look as she looks down to the plate Erza was using to eat her cake.

There was still half of it left.

She sighs as she takes it off the barstool and put it in the fridge.

"(sigh)... With how dense Natsu is. Erza will have to make the move on him before someone else dose. I just hope she is smart enough to realize that." Mira thought as she started walking towards Cana and Gray in order to make the payment for all the booze they drank.

The streets of Magnolia:

Erza was deep in thought as she walked through the streets of Magnolia. She was thinking about her feelings and what she should do. She was so distracted that she almost bumped into some walking from the other direction of her but she manages to stop herself in time.

"My apologies." She said to the stranger "I was not paying attention."

"Wait that voice!" Stranger exclaimed in a female voice as she removed her hood "Erza?"

Erza`s eyes opened wide at the familiar voice and face "Millanna?"

"ERZA!" Millianna shouted happily as she hugged her big sister making some who were walking past a look at the two. Erza blushed from the stares they were getting but hugged her back either way. They pulled apart after a few seconds.

"It`s good to see you Millanna," Erza said with a smile "But what are you doing in Magnolia?"

Millianna smiled back at Erza and said "I was looking for you Erza. I need your help with something."

"What for?" Erza asked curiously

"With this." Millianna pulled out a hand-sized potion bottle with white liquid inside. The liquid looked thicker than water and whiter than milk.

Erza looked at the bottle with a raised eyebrow before looking back at Millianna.

"What is it?"

"It`s the very first potion I made by myself," Millanna said in happiness and pride.

"You make potions?"

"Well, I only started a few days ago. So I`m kinda still new to it but this is the first one that I made without exploding" She said with a smile at which Erza only sweatdropped.

"Well... I am glad you are experimenting with new things. But what do you need me for?" Erza asked as she looked at the potion in Millanna`s hand.

"Oh I need you to drink it," She said plainly which made Erza`s eyes widen.

"What? Why me? Why not have someone at the Mermaid Heel drink it for you?" Erza asked as she took one step backwards.

"Well... because..." Millianna said the last few parts in a small voice. Making it hard for Erza to hear.

"Because?" Erza pressured

"Because... They might not trust me with it because I... Blow up half the dining room... With my last one." Millianna said with embarrassment.

This was a red sign for Erza as she started to walk back the way she came from.

"No way." Was her reply

Millianna let out a cry of surprise before faster than anyone thought she could, appeared in front of Erza blocking her path.

"Come on Erza-nee. I need you for this" She cried out as anime tears rolled down her cheeks. She was being louder then she thought which made more people look at the two with questioning eyes.

Erza not wanting to be accused of making a scene. Took her friend by the arm and dashed away from the eyes of Magnolia`s citizens and into the ally. Once she was sure that no one will bother them she turned to the sniffing cat lover.

"Millianna listen I appreciate you coming out here and seeing you again is always a pleasure. But I... I just don`t think this will end well." Erza said while rubbing her right elbow with her left hand.

Millianna quickly got up and took hold of Erza`s arms and started to lightly shake her while saying "Please Erza I need you to trust me on this. If it works the way it`s supposed to then I will have the ultimate potion in my hands."

"And how do you know that this potion is safe? Did you test it before?" Erza asked

"No..."

"Did you have someone look at it?"

"No..."

"Did you ask Kagura if you can make it?"

"No..."

"SEE! You`re asking me to drink something that you yourself are not sure if it`s safe or not." Erza exclaimed while crossing her arms over her chest.

"YEAH! But it is safe for you. Because you`re Erza." Millianna said with a big grin while pointing at Erza.

Erza looked at her finger and then her eyes before saying. "That doesn't mean I can`t die out of poisoning or explosion..." those words have put dread into Millanna`s bones.

She looked down at the potion in her hand and then at Erza and back to potion before she sighs and puts it back into her coat.

"You`re right Erza... I guess I should have thought this through more carefully... I am sorry for coming her asking you to put your health in danger." She said in a sad voice as she became crestfallen making Erza`s hard face melt into one of the guilt.

"I guess I should go back to my guild... And find someone who will help me... It was nice seeing you again Erza." Millianna gives her a sad smile before saying "Goodbye..."

She started to slowly turn around to exit the ally with her head hanging low and her hair falling over her face. Erza bit on her lower lip as her guilt started to eat away at her. Her body was shaking as it tried to fight off guilt but ultimately.

"(sigh)... Fine, I`ll drink it..." She said as she facepalmed. Already knowing this was a bad decision.

"YEYYYYY! THANKS, ERZA YOU`RE THE BEST" Millanna said as she returned to normal and hugged Erza once again.

A small smile appeared on Erza`s lips as she hugged her back "Yeah yeah I know"

After Millanna pulled away she handed Erza the potion and took a step back. Erza inspected the white liquid inside the bottle. Turning it so she could see from both sides.

She looked back at Millanna who only gave her a "go on" motion with her hands. She gave the bottle another look over before taking the bottle cap off.

"Well here goes nothing." She leaned her head back and raised the bottle to her lips. The liquid itself tasted like milk but it was thicker and sweeter. As she drank Millanna was looking in excitement and anticipation as the last of the liquid was swallowed by Erza.

When she was finished she wiped her lips with the back of her hand and run her tongue over her top lip. Searching for any reminds of the potion.

They waited for five minutes. Expecting something to happen but nothing was.

"Uhmm... Do you feel anything different Erza?" Millianna asked her friend

Erza looked down at her body and moved her arms a little bit before saying "No. However I do suddenly have a strong desire for some milk."

Suddenly a white glow surrounded Erza`s body before it started glowing brighter. It was soon glowing so bright that Millanna had to cover her eyes from the brightness.

"Erza! What is happening?" Millianna shouted her eyes closed and her arms in front of her face.

"I DON`T KNOW. BUT MY BODY FEELS WI- NYA!" Came from the light as it soon died down. When Millanna opened her eyes again. The only thing that was left of her childhood friend in her place was her clothes. All from her chest plate to her black boots.

"Erza..." Millianna colled out as she looked around "Erza?" She tried calling out again

"Erza come on... This isn`t funny anymore" Millanna let out a nervous chuckle as she looked around trying to find her friend. But soon the realization hit her. This was no joke. Erza was gone.

Her eyes started to water as she collapsed on her knees. She brought the set of clothes closer to her. The only things left of her dear childhood friend. She cried into the chest plate as the pain of losing her friend set in.

"I`M SORRY! I AM SO SORRY PLEASE! COME BACK! Erza..." She cried out of sadness.

On top of the roof of the random building in Magnolia:

"Ugh... What happened..." Erza thought as her vision was blurry.

"Ugh... Where am I?..." Her vision started to clear.

"Ahh... The last thing I remember was drinking that potion. Then a desire for milk and all of a sudden I blacked out... Ahh, my head hurts." She said as she went to rub her head with her hand.

"Huh...? That`s strange. Why does some part of my hand feel furry." Her vision finally became clear as she held her hand in front of her.

Only for her eyes to widen as a red-furred cat paw came in her view instead of her hand. She looked over to her other hand and saw the same thing. That`s when she looked down at her body. There was red fur everywhere on her body. Her core shook with shock as she looked over herself some more not believing in what she was seeing. Her eyes scanned her surrounding looking for anything that could give her a look of herself.

When she saw a window not too far away from where she was laying. She attempted to rush to it. But feel down as she tripped over her leg. She tried again only to fall again. She turned her head and looked back.

At that moment she wished she didn`t. More of that red fur run down her body as her legs were all covered in fur but that was not what killed it. No what killed it was a red-furred tail that swaying left and right. Erza looked at it for what felt like hours before in almost panicked way rushed towards the window.

"Please no. Please no. PLEASE GOD NO!" After a few more tripping and falling over her legs. She finally made it to the window. She shook her head from all the dirt she picked up from her falls before taking a look at her reflection.

What she saw took her breath away. Staring back at her was a red-furred cat with chocolate brown eyes and blue-collar around her neck. She sat there looking at her stunned reflection before yelling out a curse so loud that even in Edolas could be heard.

"WHAT THE -"(Imagine a good word. No bad ones.)

"How...?" She said as she feels her face with her paws. "How did I turn into a cat?"

"Wait this must be from Millanna`s potion," Erza said as she puts her forepaws down and stands up on all fours. "Grr, when I get back to normal. I will show her what I think of her potion-making ability" She sneered in anger as she very slowly walked over to the ledge of the building.

She looked around and realized she was at the entrance of Magnolia right on top of the train station. She watched people around buying tickets while some were waiting for the train to arrive. Soon the train arrived as some people entered it while the others got off.

"How did I end up here of all places? Did Millanna make that potion with the ability to teleport as well?" She thought as she looks around for the way to get down. That`s when she heard all too familiar voices arguing.

"Why did you have to do that?" sound of Lucy`s voice was heard making her cat ears twitch.

"Hey, it`s not like I did it on purpose !" That was Natsu`s voice.

"You sett the whole field of crops on fire!" Lucy yelled as she stood over sitting Natsu who was holding his stomach in pain. His face still a little bit green after coming off the train.

"Hey! It got the job done didn`t it." Natsu said back as his face was regaining its color.

"Yeah, it got the job done" Happy who was flying above Natsu`s head said.

Lucy sighed at the two before putting her face in her hands.

"Honestly you`d think that you will learn when to not go overboard," Lucy said something more but Erza did not hear it. Her whole attention was on Natsu. She did not know why but she had this tremendous urge to go down there and pounce on him. Her pupils widen in excitement and her tail wiggled happily behind her. She jumped off the rooftop of the train station and started running on all fours towards Natsu. Not even knowing how she was doing it.

Happy saw a red-furred cat running towards them and said "Hey is that cat running towards us?" he pointed at approaching cat.

Natsu and Lucy stopped their arguing to look at the speeding red feline. When she was close enough she pounced on sitting Natsu making him let out a surprised cry as he fell on his back with the cat on top of him. Lucy and Happy let out a surprised yelp of their own after which they went to help Natsu. Thinking that the wired red cat was attacking Natsu but instead.

The red cat was nuzzling its head on Natsu`s chest purring happily in process. Natsu who was looking down at the cat looked at it in confusion than at his friends and then back at the cat.

"Uhm... Natsu who is that?" Happy asked his foster father

A/N: And that is it for this chapter. Now I know you have a lot of questions about what is this. But the truth is I just wanted to make a cat Erza fanfic.

Because there are no good ones out there. Well, not Naza story about it at least.

So I hope you enjoyed it. Like I said this will be a short story. Probably three chapters long.
