It was like there was nothing around the glowing circle, with an inscription of a sun and moon. Six individuals were standing in the circle, and then a card, a design and shape similar to a Tarot card appeared for each one. The cards were reveal and their names where %# $, #$$ #, Windy, ! #$#%, # %& , and $#$^ . With that, the six started to depart.
"Onee-chan!" A young girl called to her big sister, "You need to stop sleeping so much." Her older sister, awake by now, stood in bed, figuring out what her dream was. Aki, seeing that her sister was not moving, started to shake her not-so-gently.
"I'm awake, Aki," the older sisters groaned as she rolled towards her clock. "7:08!" She jumped out of bed, "Thanks for waking me up, Aki-chan" and she quickly went to get ready.
"Heading to school now!" Our heroine called, opening the door to the chilly outdoors. She ran to her school, as she just started her first year in middle school, much like a certain protagonist that won't show up.
"Good morning, Nakaya-chan," her friend, Katayama Momo, greeted quietly. While their homeroom teacher was doing roll calls.
"Hello Katayama-chan," Nakaya, our heroine, who we all finally have the name for, replied, getting to her seat.
"What happened this morning?" Katayama asked,
"I had some bizarre dream," Nakaya answered, "Might have to do with my future."
It's then that her friend perked up in interest, "Ooh, like what type of future?" She began fantasizing, "Who's your soulmate? What's going to happen with the recent earthquakes? The card that will win you the lottery?"
:Umm… Not exactly," Nakaya nervously cut off before her friend's questions got too weird, "I was in this black room, with…. Five other gi- No, one of them was a boy. And -"
"Nakaya Akasuki!" the teacher called out, sternly.
"Here!" and it is at this point where we could switch from Nakaya-chan to Akasuki-chan, but only close friends can all people by their given name, which kind of sucks, so Nakaya for now.
"I'll tell you the rest at lunch, Iwa-chan" Nakaya whispered. Katayama nodded, and put back a serious face. As much fun as it would be to watch middle schoolers have trouble with basic stuff like "equations" and "english," that is frankly, boring. On to lunchtime, the only time that's worth mentioning.
"About that dream you had," Katayama persisted, staring down her friend, "You got to tell me the rest!"
"I remember," Nakaya then thought hard about her dream, "I left off in the dark room, right… Let's see. There were four girls and a boy with me on a glowing circle, and we were arranged in a circle."
"Were you next to the guy," Katayama deviously asked, though Nakaya was oblivious to her suspicious behavior.
"In matter of fact, yes." Nakaya confidently remembered, "Also, each of us had a tarot card float down to us. I had a card that said "Wind" in kanji, and" she stopped there racking her brain on what it said, "the other thing was in english," she admitted.
"Can you copy what you saw," Katayama asked.
"Sure," Nakaya took out a piece of paper and wrote down the words.
"That's 'The Windy,'" Katayama translated, "You have some nice memory if you can remember english words-" She paused there, confused at what Nakaya wrote.
"Something wrong?" Nakaya asked, a bit worried.
"Mmhm, nothing," Katayama dismissed, "anything else from your dream that you can remember?"
"Hmm… The card had a picture of a beautiful woman, like a model or fairy," She said, "I think that was it, I can't remember any more details."
"Intriguing," Katayama pondered, "I found the meaning of your dream."
"Really?" Nakaya eagerly waited for her friend's interpretations. Knowing how Katayama loves to do over the top statements, she really shouldn't have put her hopes up.
"It;s a dream about love," Katayama started,, "Your soulmate is the one boy that was next to you, but there'll be four other girls who want him. As a result, he goes for the prettiest one, which turns out to be you five years in the future. Like the spring wind, you will help him find his place with a bright smile on your face." seeing that her friend was impressed, "And the other girls will fall out in importance and you'll marry the one you love, and have two kids."
"Wow!" Nakaya said, awestruck, "You could even find out how many kids we have, how did you do that?"
"Hee he," Katayama grinned poundly, "My little secret. A warning though about these types of dreams: You got to work for it to make it come true, no slacking off like you did today."
"I was tired," Nakaya protested.
"That's what the weekend is for," Katayama pointed out.
"I'm going to club," Nakaya said,
"We just started, how are you already in a club," Katayama said in disbelief.
"I'm not in it yet," Nakaya explained, "I just going to watch their practice."
"Sure," Katayama sighed. The bell rang and it was time to get ready for the next class period.
"The Windy" Nakaya Akasuki muttered, seeing the card that holds her future once again. Suddenly, strong winds enveloped her, but for some reason, she was unfazed.
"Stop," Nakaya said, like someone was forcing her to command it, and the winds calmed down. Eight cards floated around her, with their back turned towards her.
"That was disturbing," Nakaya told herself, Aki, was still sleeping on the bed. She stretched over to your clock and looked over to see a card and necklace with a key. "Nee-san, you really need to stop putting stuff on my bed," she muttered, then rolled out of bed and took a good look at the card, "The Windy…"
Suddenly, a yellow wind came out from the card and started to swirl around her. It slowed down and condensed to a young tall woman with long blonde hair that went all the way to the floor, with a green tiara , with wings that surround her slender body.
"Wow... '' Nakaya stood up shocked, trying not to make too much noise while her sister was sleeping.
"Greeting, my mistress," The woman greeted, with a small bow, "I am 'The Windy,' one of the six elemental Clow Cards, it's an honor to meet your acquaintance."
"Mistress?" Nakaya wondered about that. She was definitely not prepared for someone clearly older than her to be calling her that. "You can just call me Akasuki-chan."
"It would be disrespectful of me to address you in that manner, Akasuki-sama," Windy replied, "If it's acceptable of you, we'll need to take this in a more private arrangement." She pointed her gaze quickly on the sleeping Aki, and then back to Nakaya.
"Alright, but first, why are you here?" Nakaya asked.
"You were chosen to take part in the Grand Clow Hunt, Akasuki-sama," the woman started to explain, though it wasn't exactly what Nakaya was expecting, "I am here to assist in the 'Grand Clow Hunt.'"
"I see," Nakaya pondered a bit about the situation. She's been actly calmly from the whole magic card, but that was because she didn't want to overload Windy with questions.
Windy cluckled randomly, "You'll taking it quite well, my mistress."
"It's really confusing," Nakaya admitted, "but those dreams I've been having, it all makes sense. Nice to meet you, Windy-san, I'm Nakaya Akasuki ." just then she heard her younger sister shifting, "Can we continue this a little bit later please."
"Of course," Windy then became a yellow wind and condensed to a card that flew over to Nakaya's hand.
Nakaya went over to her little sister bed, seeing her still asleep even through the whole dicussion going on, "Guess I need to get ready." She got ready and put the key that was on her bed in her pocket. Sometime later, she got downstairs, while her older sister, Akemi, and her mom, Mom, were having breakfast. "Good morning!"
"Good morning," her mom greeted, drinking a cup of coffee, "How was your night?"
"Nothing out of the ordinary," Nakaya said, but the two family members could easily tell something was up.
"Suki-chan, are you going somewhere?," her older sister asked.
Nakaya nodded, "I'm going to club practice."
"Could you buy a get well card for me," she asked.
"Are you okay?" Nakaya asked unsurely, inspecting her older sister carefully, "Do you have a fever?"
"No I'm fine, Suki," Akemi sighed, "It's for a friend of mine." Their mother cluckled at the misunderstanding.
"Ohh! Sure, Nee-san!" Nakaya agreed, "I'll be off now."
"Didn't you forget something?" her mother asked, fully aware that Nakaya definitely did not eat breakfast.
"I got everything mom," Nakaya assured her, "Bye!" She ran out the door and went on her way and figured that it would be better to do her errand on her way back. She then thought of a way to talk to Windy again, and decided the best course of action.
"Alright…" She held up the card, "Windy." In a vacant room of her school, the card became a strong wind and condensed back into Windy.
"How may I assist you, Akasuki-sama?" Windy greeted with a small bow.
"May I ask a few questions about what you were talking about earlier," Nakaya asked.
"Of course, Akasuki-sama, It would be my pleasure."
"What's the 'Grand Clow Hunt?'" Nakaya started.
"The 'Grand Clow Hunt' is a test to find the most capable one to be the cardcaptor, the one who is a master to all the Clow Cards," Windy told her, "I am one of the six elemental Clow Cards."
Nakaya sat down, looking a bit distraught, "Do you know about the dreams I had?"
"I know that you were to have them before I came to you," Windy said, "But I don't know what the contents of the dream was, my mistress."
"Windy-san, is this going to be dangerous?" Nakaya asked.
"It will most certainly," Windy answered honestly, "All the Clow Cards will attempt to fight you, excluding the ones under me."
"Can I actually fight off against magical cards that want to kill me" Nakaya asked, a bit frightened, "Why was I chosen in this?"
"Nakaya Akasuki , there's sometimes in life where your sail mets an unexpected wind and moves off course," Windy told her, bending down to her level, "The reason why you were chosen was because I chose you.. I chose you because you are the most capable candidate for cardcaptor, and I desire what's best for the cards. You haven't not completed the ritual for this test, so you are free to back down nown, but I believe in your ability to become the cardcaptor." Windy then stretched out her hand, "The journey will be dangerous, but I assure you that I'll be with you to guide, support and protect, always."
"Are you sure I can do this?" Nakaya asked.
"I know that you have it in you to do so, Akasuki-sama," Windy bowed.
"Then in that case," Nakaya confidently stood, "Windy-san, please allow me to finish what I started." Just then, a glowing circle appeared under her, a symbol of a sun, with a moon on the top. A light green book decorated with streaks of yellow descended down from the ceiling with the front cover of a icy-white haired angel. Nakaya jumped back away from it, as it stood in place like it was waiting for something.
"Akasuki-sama, Take the Clow Book of Eastern Magic," Windy told her, "You will need it to hold all of the Clow Cards.
"Right," Nakaya hesitantly reached out for the book. She opened it to reveal that in the pages, there were large rectangular holes.
"Do you have the key with you," Windy asked.
Nakaya put down the book and looked in her pulled out the key, sighing because she forgot her house keys, "Yes."
"Your key is the key of 'Harmony,'" Windy said, "First, you need to repeat this incarnation to use the key's true form: 'Key hidden in the forces of harmony, Reveal your true form before me. Release!'"
"Okay," Nakaya took a deep breath and closed her eyes, "Key hidden in the forces of harmony," as she said it a magic circle appeared again under her, "Reveal your true form before me. Release!" The key grew in size and became a staff about a meter long, "That's amazing," Nakaya gasped.
"Now, the next step is to do the sealing incarnation," Windy continued, "Point your staff at me and repeat these words: Force without master. Heed the call of harmony,
and become my power. Windy. For other Clow Cards, you are to use their name instead, but don't worry about that yet."
"I think I got it. Force without master. Heed the call of harmony and become my…" Nakaya stopped, "Is this really okay? It feels like you're being forced to become a servant."
"I already made up my mind to serve you, Nakaya Akasuki," Windy reminded her, "I am yours out of my freewill. If you wish, you may make sure that other Clow Cards wish for you to be their master before sealing them. Something you need to do that is very important is after you seal me, you need to write down your full name on my card, afterwards you can call me back at any time like you did before."
"Got it!" Nakaya then proceeded with the chant, with the same magic circle appearing below her feet, "Force without master. Heed the call of harmony
and become my power! Windy." Windy then became like a wind, going to the end of her staff, and then flew to Nakaya's hands as a card. Nakaya got out a pen and signed her name "Wi- Club!" She noticed that it was time to go to her club meeting, "Wait a bit, okay Windy-san."
