You had been stuck in the dirty dusty bunker with the Winchesters for almost 5 weeks, and if you were being honest, it was becoming more and more difficult by the day. Chuck had made his distaste for you and the Winchesters very clear when he tried to have you killed by a pack of zombies after you had discovered that every event in your lives had been orchestrated by him because you were his "favorite show". That sent Sam and Dean off the rails, dean basically cussed him out, and Sam shot him in the shoulder with a magic gun. Things aren't exactly going well for you three at this point. So you unanimously decided that you needed to stay in the bunker until you found a more permanent solution to the whole God situation.
You had successfully made yourself a permanent spot in Dean's man cave, where you ate, slept, and binged anything and everything on Netflix. Only ever leaving to shower, and get more snacks. Sam had taken to burying himself knee-deep into research, and Dean had taken to fixing up Baby and the other vintage cars that were left in the bunker's garage. You had never been too into those activities, which is why you find yourself where you are. You can hear the loud footfalls of one of the brothers, but you don't bother to turn your head to see who it is.
"Hey, Y/n?" you know what gruff voice anywhere.
"What do you want Dean?" you ask, still not bothering to take your eyes away from the tv.
"It's such a nice day outside, I was wondering if you wanted to go for a drive, get you out of the house for a bit," he asks.
"Why? Are we going on a food run?" you ask, still too infatuated with your docu-series.
"No…" he starts. "I just thought you might like to get out of the bunks, so let's go," he says.
"Ugh but-" you're interrupted but the sudden motion of being thrown over Dean's shoulder. "Hey!" you shout. "You need to get some fresh air, you been in this bunker for over a month," he says as he walks you towards the door.
"But I need to know if Joe Exotic goes to jail for the almost murder of Carole Baskin!" you shout angrily as he carries you out of the room and to the garage.
Once you reach the garage, he sets you down on your feet and your knees buckle.
"Need to get your land legs back y/n/n?" he chuckles as he makes his way towards the driver side of Baby.
"No," you say bothered. You get to the passager side of Baby. you slide in slowly next to Dean as he starts up Baby's engine. You feel the familiar rumble beneath you. You sigh as you reminisce about millions of hours spent riding in this car, you really did miss hunting. But how could it ever be the same after this? Dean puts her in reverse and backs out onto the road.
Dean throws in one of his favorite cassette tapes, playing the music just as background noise for the ride. Dean's got both windows rolled down so you can feel the wind as it flows past your head.
"It's beautiful out," you say.
"That's what I was tryna tell you ding dong," you look over and see he's got the biggest smile while he chuckles.
"So, where we going?" you ask continuing to look out the window on a lovely day.
"You got somewhere in mind?" he asks. You think about it for a minute. Then it clicks.
"Ya, take the next left please," you say.
"Aye-aye Captain."
"Stop!" you shout.
"What!" Dean asks startled.
"Turn in there," you point towards a dirt road that heads uphill.
"Alright," he sighs in compliance.
Once you reach the top of the hill Dean stops the car on the edge of the cliff that overlooks all of Lebanon.
"You're not gonna shove me off for making you leave your show are you?" Dean asks playfully.
"No," you reply jokingly. He turns Baby's engine off, and you sit there in a comfortable silence as you watch the clouds.
"I feel like I don't know you," you say bluntly as you turn in your seat to fully face Dean.
"What do you mean sweetheart?" he asks softly. "I've known you for years," he adds.
"Ya but, I don't know the little things," you say
"Like what?" Dean's turned fully in his seat as well so he's facing you.
"Like… What's your favorite color?" you ask. He takes a minute to think.
"Blue," he says. "Sky blue." You smile at the thought of the big manly Dean Winchester liking such a brilliant blue. "What's yours?" he asks.
"Y/f/c," you say. "It's been my favorite color for as long as I can remember," you chuckle.
You notice how Dean's eyes have seemed to wander from yours, you start to feel a little awkward as the silence becomes very noticeable. You sit there for a minute unsure of what to say next.
"Is that my flannel?" Dean asks suddenly. You look down at the fannel you are wearing over top of your graphic tee. You hadn't realized you'd been wearing it.
"Uhhhh, ya," you say embarrassed that he noticed. "I took it one night when I needed something to wear to bed, and didn't give it back," you say, not able to look him in the eye.
"You slept in my shirt?' he asks.
"Do you want it back," you frantically start to take it off.
"No," he stops you. "Keep it, it looks good on you," he says. You put it back on a smile at the comment he made. "Thanks," you respond.
Feeling more confident than usual, you lean over and kiss him on the cheek. He turns his head as you pull away. You look at each other straight in the eye, you can see the flecks of gold in amongst the sea of brilliant green that makes up his eyes. He casts his gaze down to your lip and leans in. Pressing his soft lips to yours in a gentle kiss.
"I've been waiting a long time to do that," he says after you both reluctantly pull away. "Let's get home," he says while starting up Baby. "I think I just thought of another fun quarantine activity for us," he chuckles as he puts his arm around you, and drives away from the cliff.
"Dean Winchester," you say appalled, as you playfully punch him in the chest. He snickers at you, and you snuggle closer into his side as he drives off down the road.
