Future Queen of the Pridelands, Nala, smiled as she and her father walked into the den to see her mother. Mufasa had been awfully excited to meet his new cub and Sarabi couldn't be happier to know her daughter was gaining a sibling. When the birth came, everyone was awfully excited.
"How are you feeling, Sarabi?"
Sarabi looked up from cleaning a golden bundle of fur to see her mate and daughter. She gave her daughter a quick nuzzle before looking upwards at her mate to answer him. Nala cooed at her little sibling, watching as the golden cub turned to reveal amber eyes.
"I'm just fine," Sarabi replied, "In fact, we're both fine."
Mufasa smiled down at his newest cub and nuzzled the little one. "A boy?"
Sarabi nodded in reply, licking her son's head and he purred as he locked eyes with his sister. "Yes, his name is Simba."
Mufasa chuckled. "A mighty future King indeed."
"But I'm the future Queen," Nala protested, confused.
Mufasa frowned at his daughter, rolling his eyes. "Don't be silly, Nala. Simba is going to be King. He is a male after all. Much better suited for the throne."
Nala winced as she lowered her eyes to Simba who looked innocent enough not to know what he had done by being born. She frowned as she scoffed, walking away to her best friend, Malka. The tan-orange cub smiled at her approach and his orange eyes shined. Then he noticed her frown and suddenly, the happiness went away as he sighed.
Something had happened with her family.
He followed her without a second thought, ignoring the glare Mufasa was sending them, expecting the cubs to greet the newest member but Malka followed his best friend as their friends; Tama, Kula, Chumvi, and Tojo moved to greet the new pride member.
Malka would always follow his best friend, being betrothed since birth. But suddenly with the birth of Simba, they were no longer betrothed as Nala was no longer the future Queen as he found out from the whispers of the Pride as they padded away from the happy family.
"Nala?"
The cub gazed over her shoulder at her best friend and smiled weakly. "I'm fine, no worries. At least I don't have lessons anymore."
Malka frowned as he shook his head. "That's still your birthright and he stole it!"
The princess sat down, flicking her tail over her paws as Malka sat down next to her, gazing sadly at her as she took a deep breath to calm herself. Malka was right, her birthright was stolen from her by an newborn cub.
Her little brother, no less.
How could her father do this? Saying a lioness couldn't rule was beyond making her angry. He didn't know they could rule because they hadn't given them a chance to show what they could do! They kept the Pride feed! They were more than just expanding the Pride.
Malka could see her eyes storming over and nuzzled her. "I won't bow to him." he said firmly as Nala looked over at him. "In fact, I'll make it known that I'll only bow to you as my Queen. When Simba takes the Throne, he won't see loyalty from me."
Nala laughed as she nuzzled her best friend back. "Thanks, Malka, that makes me feel better. Now, let's go play."
Mother of The Flame
Time had come and gone, and soon enough, the cubs were young adults. Simba hadn't been well-liked throughout their cubhood, barely anyone played with him. The only one who did was Kiara, the daughter of one of Mufasa and Sarabi's friends.
Malka and his gang teased him for being the runt, making sure to get back at the cub for stealing Nala's birthright, and the once future Queen didn't stop them. She ignored her family the best she could, making it clear she wasn't a toy or just a means of expanding their Pride as she hung around Malka much more than usual.
Simba didn't know what he did to his sister but he couldn't ignore how beautiful she was. Malka was a lucky lion from what the others said, and he found himself annoyed at what the black maned lion had and he didn't.
He was the future King, and he should have what others couldn't. That included his sister.
When Malka left to speak with his parents, Nala was alone by the Watering Hole, their friends having to be out somewhere else at the moment. So, Simba smirked as he took it upon himself to claim Nala before Malka could.
She didn't notice him advancing, but did when he pounced. Nala roared loudly in anger mixed with pain, but somehow, as much as she was strong, she couldn't knocked her brother off and was forced to wait it out until Simba was done.
When he was, he smirked before walking off, and she cried. It was until Malka and the others had found her that they discovered what had happened. Tama and Kula couldn't believe the future King did such a thing, finding they liked him despite how mean they were as cubs, but Tojo and Chumvi were pissed like Malka was.
No lion, royal or not, raped a lioness and got away with it. Much less if said lioness was part of your family and Pride!
Upon arriving back at Pride Rock, they found the Pride gathered with Simba looking smugly as he said a lie to the Pride, how Malka and Nala mated before marriage but the lion roared loudly, shutting the Prince up as they revealed a crying Nala, making the lionesses gasp as she tried talking but all she could get out was how it hurt.
Sarabi didn't waste time in checking over her daughter, but Malka wouldn't let her near Nala. Threatening the Queen as he snapped his eyes towards Simba, and promised his demise. Everyone was taken aback but the lion didn't step down from the fight.
"You don't rape a lioness!" snapped Malka.
Everyone gasped and Simba paled quickly before shaking it off. He wouldn't let this lion accuse him of something he didn't do.
Simba snarled right back at the older lion. "I didn't do anything."
Mufasa's eyes hardened. "Malka, my son wouldn't dare-"
"Ugh!" Tojo groaned. "It's always 'Simba, this' or 'Simba, that' when are you going to take our feelings into consideration, Uncle Mufasa?"
Mufasa was taken aback. "Excuse me?"
"You can't even see when your own son rapes his sister," Chumvi pointed out. "You take away Nala's birthright because of your damn old traditions."
Simba gulped as he watched the lionesses whisper among themselves. "I didn't do it!" he protested. He turned to his sister. "Nala, tell them!" a silent threat in his eyes and she knew it.
Nala looked away, feeling sick to even look at her brother. "I..."
"Nala!" growled Simba. "Tell them."
"What's the point?" Malka snarled, stepping closer which made Simba back away. "We're leaving this Pride. I've had it with Simba and his bragging. Do what you want, King Mufasa. Watch your Kingdom fall when Simba takes control."
Tama and Kula shared a worried look as they looked at Chumvi and Tojo, silently begging them to stay.
Tojo scoffed. "I'm not staying with that lion. Goodbye, Tama."
Chumvi nodded in agreement. "Yeah, see ya."
Nala didn't say a word as her parents begged her to stay, but she could see Simba growing angry at the fact she didn't back him up but it wasn't like she was going to tell the truth. She would be lying if she backed Simba up, and she couldn't lie. She was done allowing him to rule her life because he was a male and their father's favorite.
She would be better off with Malka, Tojo, and Chumvi.
Mother of The Flame
She was pregnant. By Simba. It was to be expected of a rape, sometimes they didn't end up pregnant, sometimes they did. This time, she did. Malka had smiled before telling her how he wouldn't think before being the cub's father and she purred happily, nuzzling into his mane.
They had settled into a neighboring pride, the Riverland Pride. The King had been disappointed in his old friend and how he allowed Prince Simba to do such a thing, promising Nala she was safe here and would one day, regain her birthright.
When the day of the birth came, Malka had waited outside of the birthing den for nearly an hour or so before the King's mate came outside with a wide smile, nudging her head towards the entrance and Malka bolted into the den.
In Nala's forepaws was a light golden bundle of fur, breathing softly as Nala gazed lovingly at her baby and Malka moved to nuzzle her, purring away.
"Nala... you did a wonderful job."
Nala purred before gazing at her cub. "He looks like his father." she mumbled. "Was it wrong I was hoping he wouldn't?"
Malka shook his head. "No, it's not wrong. Perfectly normal for someone who went through what you did. But what can we do? We'll just make sure he lives to make Simba regret what he has done."
"I hear he married Kiara." Nala mumbled. "The bastard is probably having cubs with her."
Malka scoffed. "He betrayed Kiara's loyalty by doing what he's done. Now, for our son's name..."
"Kion," Nala stated. "Short for Kiongozi."
"Simba better watch out," winked Malka. "Our little boy is going to get us our Pride back along with our throne."
She couldn't agree more.
