He saw a reflection mirror on the care of himself as Venom. The mercenaries chase him with the drones and most of them failed to capture the symbiote and bring it back to Carlton. Treece's ally shot Venom in the back cause the symbiote bites his head off. After Venom fight the S.W.A.T.S, unbeknownest to Eddie, the mercenaries sent a drone to follow them,
Much later Eddie escape the hospital after Anne and Dr. dan lewis reveal Eddie that the symbiote is slowly consuming his organs and before the sound wave hurt it and unbond them. Eddie ran out of the hospital and The mercenaries arrived to stop him from hiding anywhere in San Francisco. Eddie and Venom attacked the mercenaries but before he could run away from them, the portal appear out of nowhere and Venom form a tendril to stop Eddie and itself from enter it, Anne stepped out to see what's going on outside and try to help him but both former reporter and lawyer lost their grip and yelled as they are sucked and the portal closed.
At the life foundation base, Carlton Drake saw the portal that is rip through time and space to figure it out what is going on, ask his ally about it and replied that is took Eddie and Anne somewhere that they need to know what they headed into.
